Don't bother calling this Home Depot Tool Rental Center. WORST customer service I have dealt with since trying to get something resolved by the DMV. They will pickup the phone and hang up immediately. No... it's not being put on hold, just hang up on customers. If you call back they do the same thing. It's hard to believe anyone in the tool center still has a job.

I went to the rental department and rented a skid steer for 4hrs. The clerk said I didn't return the skid steer I was charged $1500 for no return. When I saw it came out of my bank account I called the store and was met with a terrible attitude from the older female clerk. She threatened to continue to charge me until I brought the skid steer back. I then went to the store to speak with the manager and she didn't interact with me at all. The guy who i returned the equipment to was oblivious to signing me out. I then looked in the area I parked the skid steer and low and behold the skid steer is in the same place I parked it. I do not recommend shopping at the Trussville, Alabama homedepot. Terrible terrible place to rent equipment from.

Explained what I was doing, (digging down @8 to install a rock garden path) & was suggested by associate a tiller would work. After having to spend an hour online trying to figure out how this thing worked, since I d never used a tiller before (their instructions only told how to start/stop) It would not dig the ground AT ALL. Large bold printed return time at top of rental sheet was the 4hr return time, not the day I requested, so on top of being charged $120 (full day plus 4hrs) instead of the $69 I was quoted, they tacked on an extra $20 for optional damage insurance, which I was never told about & certainly never asked for. In the end it was removed, but still....Not happy to have thrown $125 into the wind. The least they could ve done was put some of what I paid towards a larger machine that might actually dig earth.

Horrible customer service. The associate took his sweet time getting everything that I needed to get the job done. He definitely knew that he got paid by the hour!! But as a contractor time is money and he cost me time.
