Outstanding service and price compared to other shops. I called and asked for a quote for a transmission service and was shocked at the price. It was a great price considering I also bought my parts. Many shops did not want to use customer provided parts even though I bought OEM parts. However, the Mercedes Doctor said they would see if my parts were up to par and would let me know if it s doable. They are very transparent with you and will tell it how it is. This is now my go to shop for any future work on my Mercedes.

We have been taking our cars to Larry for a couple years now. We are glad to have found him. He knows Mercedes inside and out. I ve found him to be honest and he listens which is one of the most important parts of customer service. I ve found his prices to be reasonable. I appreciate his straight forward explanations and advice on my cars, and that he makes sure I fully understand what we are doing so I can make an educated decision about services for my cars. I drive a Mercedes daily, and I also have a very expensive habit of buy my old favorite Mercedes to collect and play around with. Larry has always been good to work with me on a budget with these old cars, and also has been good at helping me locate parts for them, which Are getting harder and harder to find. He s also been very supportive of the fact that I like to learn and tinker with my old cars as well. I ve always found him and his staff to be very patient and kind, even when I want everything yesterday....lol especially when I first buy one.lol. I d highly recommend Mercedes dr to anyone. There s only one other mechanic who I truly trust and respect who also respects me, and sadly he s all the way in Florida.lol.Jessie Odell

I took my glk 350 here for a oil change and a estimate for service, I told them I had already paid over $300 for a diagnostic from the dealership and only wanted a estimate for the cost of their services.He explained the $110.00 minimum and I was ok with that. But when I picked my car up they had charged me AGAIN for everything I had already told them was wrong, I did not ask for a test on my transmission oil, I did not ask for them to run new diagnostics on my vehicle, I simply asked for an estimate for said services, for my oil change and a estimate they ended up charging me $306 dollars, they tacked on at least a $100 of bogus charges, and wanted $10,000 dollars for a transmission replacement and refuse to install a bought part.Do not go here unless you re ok with spending 3x the cost of just getting back on the road, bought a 36k mile transmission for $2000 and found a place to install it for about $1500. These pictures are to show what these places do, Mercedes man, Mercedes dealerships, and most import repair centers. They wanted to charge me 842.60 to fix my door module, they refused to install my part I bought for $72.00 , did some YouTube research and installed it my self in less than 20 minutes. I m angry at every place that does business this way. THANK GOD I found a honest mechanic that can and will fix my transmission for a reasonable price, do your research before you take the word of all these places.Service: Oil change

The Mercedes Doctor was a great place. The staff was knowledgeable friendly super helpful and cared about the customer. I may have to drive a little way to get to them but their pricing makes it worth it. Looking forward to them taking care of my new to me vehicle for a long time!

I have dealt with Mercedes doctor in the past. I was referred to them by a very close friend of mine. I have a 2013 MB C300 that I trusted to take to them for some minor issues going on with this car. I had driven through high waters and the car was shifting a little different. I was given 3 different diagnosis. First, by me being a woman, I was really communicating with Pam and I guess she was supposedly communicating everything to him. Pam suggested that I file the repairs to my insurance since I stated that I had driven through high water trying to get to work. Ok, I did just what she suggested. One thing lead to another. First diagnosis was condensation in the transmission, then he come up with replacement of tort converter, and lastly, it turned into me needing a whole transmission. After a month s time waiting between the insurance, they denied the claim. Therefore since insurance didn t cover, I was just seeking affordable repairs for the car. Me and Malcolm asked him about rebuilding the transmission, he said that it had already been rebuilt. At this point, we all know that a transmission can be rebuilt as many times as you want it. We knew then that if he couldnt make thousands of dollars from us or the insurance, then he didn t want to be bothered with us. He also gave us an estimate for placing a new transmission for 6880.00. After I told him that I d come to pick it up, Larry was upset and asked me to come pick the car up immediately. They also charged me 220.00.00 for diagnosis charge. When I took it to another repair shop, the same diagnostic was done and nothing was found. We also discovered that parts was missing from my car. This was my experience with them for the last time.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Transmission repair

The Mercedes doctor needs to stop advertising for more business because they took 6 hours to do an oil change on my wife s GL450 after having an 9am appointment. They can t handle the business that they are getting. I have been using them for years and service is getting progressively worse.The car was not ready until 3pm. It s in a hole in wall in Trussville, Alabama better off paying to go the dealership if you want good Serivce.Service: Oil change

I've waited for 2,000 miles to review, because my iron clad diagnosis was that I needed a new motor, a rebuild, etc.This diagnosis was received after being told, ' just a bad coil, come get it'...I expressed doubt, and was reassured.OK!I got less than a mile from their shop before same codes and misfiring that I'd brought it in on reccurred.At this point I was thrown into a reality/drama TV show. The tech that was tasked with it came into the lobby, and gave me all sorts of declarations and berating, quite a few degrees past rude.Hmmm.I asked that it just be fixed, please...At any rate, ultimately the owner of the shop was involved and I was told my motor was junk.Ok.At any rate, I took it elsewhere and after slight ($170 basic fee) work my V8 pulled like a locomotive again. I had a thoroughly invigorating and highly illegal top down run in the beautiful sun today and that was 2,000 miles after these folks said it was toast.So....see these folks if you like drama and 10 minute diagnostics that get written in stone.I'm gonna dig up Geraldo, hire Honey Boo Boo, and send them here with Alexander Shunarah and that 'Whistlin Diesel' guy.Reality GOLD.Seems my car just needed some lube on the stupidly complex air filter assembly.I hate German engineering.Except Deutz diesels.I always thought Detlef was the rudestMechanic EVER.Americans are apparently better!!Murica!!

I have been going to the Mercedes Doctor for about 2 years. Before I bought my Mercedes I spoke with Larry and he was very honest with me about the car. I will only take my car to the Mercedes Doctor !! The have awesome customer service, never hesitate to answer my questions or advise me. I feel the mechanics service my car as if it were their own!! I highly recommend them to anyone who has a Mercedes!! Honest and trustworthy they are!! Kathy and Rachel give excellent customer service!!!!

I give this place my highest rating. They have the best Mercedes service I have ever experienced and I've owned Mercedes cars for 25+ years. They called and went over every item before doing the work so I okayed it and knew how much it would cost. My 15 year old Mercedes is in great shape now. For all the work they did, the costs were really reasonable. I was very pleased, I highly recommend. They are also super nice and customer focused.

They are awesome. They found and fixed issues on my sprinter van in two days after another mechanic shop couldn t figure it out in two weeks! Quick turn around and good communication.

If you have a problem with your Mercedes you truly need to give them a call. I had been to the dealership and it seemed I got taken advantage of each and every time I took it in. A friend recommended the Mercedes Doctor and I was glad I did. The mechanics are very knowledgeable and I would highly recommend.

The Mercedes Doctor has taken care of my car for 3+ years, and took care of my Mother-in-Law's car for years past as well. They always take great care of us. I drive quite a good distance to bring my car to them over other businesses located more conveniently to my home. I can't imagine taking my much loved SL550 to any other service.

I love the people at Mercedes Doctor!!! They have awesome customer service and the staff is so down-to-earth. Mr. Larry and The Mercedes Doctor's staff have become a second family to me!!! I would recommend anyone to The Mercedes Doctor!!! If you desire quality service and on-time return of your car with a family atmosphere, I would highly recommend Mr. Larry and his staff at The Mercedes Doctor!!!

excellent service. top quality repairs. I've owned a Mercedes of one kind or another for over 20 years and The Mercedes Doctor is the only mechanic that I will let touch my ride. They work on vehicles other than Mercedes.

Larry, Keith and Jimmy are all great and honest guys! I'm not sure if they service vehicles other than Mercedes but, if you have a Benz, and are tired of paying massive dealer prices, these guys are wonderful! And, your Benz warranty is accepted!

I had my car towed to this repair shop to get a second opinion. The repair cost turned out to be almost as much as the car was worth. I called the shop and told the person on the phone I had decided that the repair was too expensive and I would rather sell the car to an individual interested in buying the car and repairing it, and that I would have it towed back to my house. I told the person on the phone I would come to the shop the next day and pay the bill for the diagnosis and could they please move the car somewhere that the tow truck driver would be able to get the car loaded onto the truck.When I got to the shop the next day, the person up front did not have an invoice or any paperwork ready, so I sat down in the waiting room. They said it would be just a few minutes to get the paperwork ready. A few minutes later, a mechanic came out from the back of the shop obviously in a bad mood and got right up in my face saying very loudly "I don't know what Crown did and I don't care...." He was so angry and loud at first I didn't think he was speaking to me. He went on to say that part of my engine was taken apart and he was going to put the parts in a cardboard box and put them in the car. I did nothing to deserve being yelled at and at that point I just wanted to get out of there ASAP. I have never heard of a repair shop returning a customer's vehicle (repaired or not) with the parts of the car tossed in a cardboard box. I got concerned about the engine being exposed to the elements so I went back in and asked to speak with someone again to find out exactly what wasn't put back together. The second mechanic assured me that it was basically just the plastic cover on top of the engine. I felt a little more re-assured at that point and since the tow truck driver had already arrived, I knew he would not be willing to wait for the plastic cover to be put back in place. I went home to meet the tow truck. When the tow driver reached my house, I was going to let my car roll down off the tow truck and park it. Then I find out the battery in the car is dead (I just bought that battery 6 months ago!). I can't get the car to shift out of park and the steering wheel was locked without battery, so I had to get a jump to power up the car to be able to get it out of park. There was a cardboard box in the floor that I expected to find the plastic cover for the engine and instead it had all the spark plugs and several large bolts. The plastic cover was already sitting on the engine. I specifically asked if the engine was open to the elements and was told it only needed the plastic cover put back on. I also can't find the cover that goes on the back bumper where the towing hook screws into the bumper.Whether I got the car fixed or not, I paid the mechanic what he requested and did not argue about the charges. I'm amazed that this business would allow their mechanic to yell at a customer (apparently he was mad because nobody told him I was coming to get the car. Remember, I phoned ahead and notified the shop, does that make it MY FAULT?). I also felt like they childishly wanted to give me the ultimate F.U. by sending my vehicle back to me with a cardboard box full of engine parts. When dealing with this business over the phone they put on a very professional image, but my experience was anything but professional. I thought the dealership was sketchy, but this place was a nightmare. My vehicle was not returned in the condition that it arrived in and I got yelled at and sent home with a "gift box" full of parts of my car. I'd love to know what I did to deserve being treated so disrespectfully when I did nothing to deserve it?

Every time I have had an issue with my Mercedes I have taken it to Mercedes Doctor and I am always a satisfied customer. The mechanics are very detailed and explain everything where I can understand it and the staff is courteous and friendly.

Mercedes of Tuscaloosa quoted me $1500 on the service of my Mercedes. The guys at Mercedes doctor fixed my car with Mercedes parts for $275 and even offered to meet me halfway between Trussville and Tuscaloosa. Great guys and great service.
