While passing through Prattsville AL myclass c , diesel motorhome developed engine problems on I 65. I was lucky enough to get towed to Rare automotive.They were nice enough to open their yard and allow us to dry camp there, until they opened next day. The owner, Rex is a diesel guru, after talking to him i knew i was in the right place. His crew members, Jared and Austin teamed up with Tex to solve my problem.This is a family business that treats you fair, highly recommended

These guys know vehicles of all kinds. I was referred to Rare Automotive by a big diesel shop in town, so I took my 06 Ford 6.0 here to be bulletproofed. Very fair on pricing, they do quality work visually you can tell they put everything back as it was and a lot of work was done every bolt or snap was placed back as from the factory. You can see they take pride in their work. Also very informative on how to care for the vehicle after upgrades were made on how to keep your vehicle running for the long haul.From now on all of my vehicle needs, I will be taking them to Rare automotive. Couldn t be happier with the work they did.

I blew a spark plug out of the motor on 82 and even though he was busy he was able to get the old 4Runner fixed within a couple days. He was very honest and real. Haven't had anymore problems and it runs as smooth as ever. Thanks!Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair

Text and Jared have always taken great care of our vehicles for us I can trust putting my family's lives in their hands when they work on their vehicles they've always taken great care of our vehicles if we have any problems we can always go back and they look it over repair it we've never had any issues Jared is one of the mechanics there that works on the vehicles that works for text and he does an excellent job if I have any questions about it he's always answered it and explain things for us they always are fair on price and honest about everything that we've had going on I would recommend them to everybody and I thank them for all that they've done for us they do great work

Let me start off by saying Trina Edwards is there during the body and paint work you cant ask for anyone to do a better job then her because they cant she is very very picky on how vehicles go out of that shop , so you will get the best work done on the paint and body that can be done , and dont let the shop age and size cause u to judge the book by its cover ! As far as mechanical side of the shop tex is a good solid mechanic but I cant stand someone that knows any and everything , if it wasnt for his knowledge of knowing everything , and his ego ,then I would Have a different of the mechanical side but he is the only one that I would allow to work on my car there , he only hires people that he knows more about automotive then they do and diesel's u cant go wrong with tex ,he just thinks he is smarter then most of the world .that's my problem I have worked on cars for 22 years and I was ase certified and I dont like pissing contests so I'm gonna stop there thanks go see katrina
