Donovan has worked on my 1999 Toyota Tacoma for the last 3 years and did an excellent job. He repaired my tire rods and my gear shifter. He is always professional and explains what the problem is and the best way to fix it. Their prices are usually lower or the same as other mechanics in the area, but their service is always more personable and friendly.

I brought my truck to Jeremy and their team after getting several recommendations about Central Alabama Auto LLC.They were able to have my truck inspected and repaired much quicker than any other shop including dealership, even with CAA huge customer base and heavy work load!!They sealed up my 6.7L Powerstroke and explained any questions I had about the invoice. At CAA you will receive the best, if not better, service on your vehicle than the dealer can provide. Jeremy and his team have earned my trust and business for life, my vehicles will not go to another repair shop! Thank you for the great service, prices and total professionalism.Service: Oil change

Came in for a second opinion on 07 Ram 2500 Cummings diesel from what the Dodge dealership in Prattville offered me. My truck was in limp mode and the Dodge dealership was trying to charge me $11,000 in parts and labor. They fixed everything for under $3,000 and not only took care of me but wanted to follow up several months later to ensure my truck was operating efficiently. The customer service is nothing but the best, and they treat you like family. They are truly a top tier business taking care of trucks as if they owned it themselves. Great management installation and highly recommend for any within the area.

I brought my Cummins 1 ton to them on Dec 2 2022 for several issues to be investigated under dealer warranty. I never received an update without asking for one. Normally, the update I received was, "I do not see anything in the computer, let me check with the tech/Jeremy and I will call you right back." I only received one call back in the time it was there. The truck was with them for about one month. The response I got to my concerns (exhaust fumes in the truck, hunting gears between 3rd and 4th, power steering noise and inconsistent power steering input) was "You must have never owned a diesel before, huh?"On Dec 26 2022, I sent an email to Jeremy requesting an update on the truck since I had not received an update. The response to the email was from Jeremy asking if I was off to which I responded "yes". His response was, "Me too Merry Christmas [sic]". He apologized to me when I arrived to his shop, but there is never a circumstance that warrants a response like that. Disrespectful.I had to contact the dealer (Pigg Enterprises) to help me get a response from Central Alabama Automotive. Pigg Enterprises ultimately told me to pick up the truck and bring it to somewhere else, if I wanted. I could only assume that Central Alabama didn't want anything to do with the truck any longer. To this day, I am awaiting a copy of the repair order for my records from Jeremy. I requested it on Dec. 30 2022 and he has not provided it as of the writing of this review (after a couple reminders sent to him).Remember: It is never unreasonable to ask for updates on your own vehicle while it is under someone's charge to repair it. Your vehicle, your money, your concern. For those who may wonder, I asked for updates twice a week until the last week where I wanted daily updates since they were not responding to me or calling back when they said they would.No repairs were performed to my truck, to my knowledge. No record of diagnostics were provided, either. I was told they were unable to reproduce the issues (namely the strong exhaust smell in the cabin). The only thing I know for certain is my truck was idled for a long time.Bottom line: I would never spend my money here. You may not get updates regarding your vehicle, you may get talked down to, and they did not disclose their inability to get to the vehicle within a reasonable timeline due to staffing issues (until several days after drop-off).Services: Transmission, Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair, Auto engine diagnostic

Service is incredible and very knowledgeable. They built a 700hp all motor LS for one of my vehicles, a Procharged engine that made 650hp for another, and is currently building a 500hp all motor engine to go in another. They do incredible high HP performance builds as well as keeping my stock cars running. So three performance builds I currently have was all him and maintains my wife's stock vehicles and as for years. All of his mechanics are professional and is extraordinarily reasonable on his pricing. You can't go wrong with Central Alabama Automotive!

Central Alabama Automotive is a phenomenal mechanic. I brought my truck to them to replace the EGR cooler on a Wednesday, and needed it back completed by Monday. They turned it quickly and got it back. The truck has been running perfectly ever since! I cannot recommend them enough

Had head gasket issues in my 6.6 lly duramax. Head gaskets were replaced along with other upgrades. Also got them to replace an a/c line too. Jeremy and his crew made my duramax breath new life. I will definitely be a customer for life. Great work. Good people too. I highly recommend this shop to anyone needing any type vehicle work.Service: Air conditioningService: Air conditioning

My son was traveling from the Gulf coast to Gatlinburg when his car broke down on the interstate and was towed to Central Automotive Repair. Not only did they diagnose his problem but made the repairs and had him on the road in a few hours. Thank you for being there when he was in need of help Good people doing good things for others God Bless

Brought my truck in with its "Check Engine" light on and a code of failing to communicate with fuel system. The truck still ran and the fuel pump was working, so thinking sensor. They went through it and checked everything out. Their best guess, since everything was properly functioning is an old memory data in the ECM. Code was cleared and no further issues. With all the after-market items installed on my truck, I would not go anywhere else, they know their craft and trust them. I came back to Central Alabama Automotive to get my traction bars for my truck they ordered installed. Put them on in a day and these did the trick to keep my vehicle from wheel hopping and axle wrapping. So glad they did this and have me as a lifetime customer.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

This is probably the only shop I will take my vehicle to for any maintenance work to be done. Jeremy and his guys are quick and most importantly they get the job done right. No need for a second opinion and no need to bring it back once they are done. If you find yourself in need of a mechanic, come here. They got you covered.

I just had my vehicle fixed and I would have to say it's the first time I've ever left a maintenance shop with a smile. I took my vehicle there to get a second opinion, not only did they find out what was really wrong but they saved me a considerable amount of money? If I need service again on my vehicle, I will definitely be back.

I love these guys! The family that owns this place is just wonderful, helpful and (ladies) kinda cute. But I digress. If you're looking for a locally owned company run by local people with the same down-home roots you do, then this is the right place to buy your next sorta used vehicles. I love my Santa Fe!

The owners here are simply amazing. We were hundreds of miles from home and once finding out about our issue, they helped us out right away. The owner even got my wife and I a hotel room for the night. Highly recommend this place.

Had my 2006 Cummins towed to the shop. They quickly diagnosed the problem as a cracked fuel line. The part was ordered, installed, and I got my truck back in one day.

Parking is horrible. I told and wrote down the problem with my vehical and it was ignored. After 3 days of them being too busy to address the issues I went and picked up my vehicle.
