In talking to others to fins an honest transmission shop, all the answers I got was Allen Robbins. I brought my car there and the estimate was almost exact AND he did a GREAT job fixing my car. I highly recommend Allen Robbins Transmission Shop

Built my transmission gave me a warranty and avoid and then said the warranty is voided because I rump on it as he said it s a stock ls with a cam so when u build one u can t rump on it I guess not now it slipping and still leaking fluid after 3 times last time I ll every experience with Allen transmission . Had the yoke replaced same week u told me and ujoint pump start leaking and the drive tail still leaking it s been there after the install so that s a lie u claim I m drag racing with stock 14s and rear end

$1800 and within days it caused the whole wheel to come off while I drove down the road. Sent it back and now needs another 1800$ transmission. Not recommended at all! Work was performed by Allen Robbins Transmission for Marbury Church of God members specifically Barry Smith for reference purposes.

The owner... Allen Robbins told me ONE PRICE over the telephone for a part I needed for my transmission... last week. This morning ? I went to Allen Robbins Transmission Specialists.... to pay for the part.Allen Robbins CUT THE PRICE IN HALF ... I WAS BLOWN AWAY....COULDN'T BELIEVE IT !!!!! I have known about his business for years now. Just never had the opportunity to do business with him... because I have NEVER HAD TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS like this before.1Latham Community Development Corporation, Inc. UPDATE! My car was in worse shape AFTER leaving Allen Robbins Transmission. Before, it just needed wiring done. AFTER taking my car to Allen Robbins Transmission, my car refused to move. I suspect foul play. If more people have this problem, I'd like to take part in a joint law suit against Mr Robbins. I I received my car back from Mr Robbins. My car was DEAD. But it was in near perfect condition before I sent it there. It just had wiring problems.I haven't seen my car in almost a month. Now, true, the owner's wife told me that they were backed up for two weeks, but why didn't she say that over the phone before I brought my car over? I asked her over the phone, "Are you booked?" She said, "We can get you in on Monday." So, there is no excuses to have my car for nearly a month, then to use, "We're backed up," as an excuse because if they were, they shouldn't have told me to come on in on Monday. They should've said, "We're backed up, at the moment, so now is a bad time to drop off your car. Please come back in two weeks when we have more space."The worst part is that I ASKED HER IF THEY WERE BOOKED, and she said, "No." Only to later tell me that they're backed up for two weeks. People need their cars to drive to work. I'm stuck borrowing a car just to go to work. Am I going to be stuck taking care of two cars, instead of one? How do they get payment in the first place? From people with jobs, right? How do you get to your job? With your car right. Payment can't exist without a job. You need transporation to get to your job. I feel sorry for people relying on taxis because they believe that they'll get their car back within a reasonable time. Because even before I dropped my car off in the first place, I made it clear over the phone that I want my car back, quickly. If they were backed up for two weeks, they should've said that over the phone. Now, I'm going for about a month without seeing my car.Service: Electrical

Took my truck there because it was making a noise when it shifted into gear. Thay recommended a rebuild which I agreed. However when I got it back the noise was gone but three days later it wouldn't back up. They had be bring it back under warranty. Two weeks later they said it was ready. After about 10 days it doesn't shift out correctly and can't back up even on small incline. Gave them two stars because I had used them many years ago with good service and reasonably priced.Service: Transmission

Allen and robbins took really good care of my 2003 tahoe!!!! Back in 2020 My transmission was slipping and I had just purchased it a month before and I thought I made the hugest mistake but with Allen and ribbons they made me feel so much better and relieved If they had 50 stars i would rank them. They told me a price and I took it straight to them they told me give them two days and I got my truck back and I have been satisfied since then. If you ask for a recommendation I ll tell you the first and only place is Allen and Robbins!!!!Service: Transmission

Not enough stars for the rating. They deserve 10! I have been using them on and off as needed for about 20 years and traveled quite a ways for the rebuild. They did a rebuild on my Tahoe and I can t believe how well it shifts. It really drives like new! Thank you all so much.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

I was in the middle of a cross country road trip when I started to have some issues with my car. Allen Robbins took a look at it an assured me I was good to continue my trip and didn t charge me for the assessment. Thank you for the help!

They were fast to "fix" my truck but they didn't fix anything. They only charged me $400 for a part that didn't fix anything (the part that was "bad" is back on the transmission and is working fine). They were fast to tell me that because it didn't fix the problem then the transmission would be $2100 to rebuild. After this I call my local mechanic and he was able to determine the issue over the phone. So basically they are not mechanics, they are parts changers. They keep putting parts on until it works! Buyer be ware!

Best service ever, we were passing through the state and had a transmission problem on a Saturday. Everyone here was kind, even made a fresh pot of coffee for us. The price was very fair and the customer service was more than I could ever ask for. Thanks to this wonderful shop and the amazing guys working here, the problem was fixed and I was shown the bad parts and so appreciative that they got me in so quickly and back on the road. This is a wonderful shop and I would recommend it to anyone in need.

I have been doing business with Allen Robbins for over 20 years, both as a public customer and as a salesman and sales manager in the auto industry.I can personally and honestly say that Allen Robbins Transmission provides exceptional quality service at a reasonable price. He definitely goes the extra mile in taking care of his customers and provides a warranty for his work and stands behind his warranty. This guy does business the way business should be done. I have recommended him numerous times over the years and have had nothing but positive responses from EVERYONE of them. Now that speaks for itself.You will not be disappointed in choosing him to do your transmission service.I know this may sound like a paid advertisement but it s not.I m telling you, they can t be beat,

We are a local used car dealership that uses Allen Robbins for all of our transmission work. They do a great job at a great price and stand behind all of their work. We send probably over 50 cars a year to them and they do a great job and treat us very well. I highly recommend them.

I paid 2,800 to get my transmission fixed. Got the car back drove it for a month and it broke down so I sold it. The car place that bought my car said the transmission was never worked on or even taken out of the car. They ripped me off. I was literally homeless and my car was a piece of junk but it's how I made money. They're horrible for doing me like that.Service: Transmission

Allen took the time to explain what was possibly going on with my transmission. He then offered a solution that actually worked and saved me a couple thousand dollars. This happened after another transmission shop told me to have my trans rebuilt. But thanks to Allen my 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee is shifting like new again!

I can t express how pleased and impressed I am with this company. I can tell you from experience they are fast and dependable and they stand by their work. Their prices are very reasonable and they went above and beyond to help me in my situation. If you need transmission work this is the place to go!

Terrible service. A backyard mechanic could out perform their r&r technicians. Brought my 94 jeep in for trans rebuild on a Monday, they kept it 7 days only to return it to me with a leaking trans cooler, leaking trans fluid pan from the gasket, the grille out of alignment, and the molding under hood just laying there not even fastened down. As a person with an associates in automotive tech, it is just pure incompetence that I have seen here. With a simple test drive this could have been avoided along with someone checking behind the work of their technicians.

They did an excellent job, they serviced my 2015 equinox with a fluid change , got me in and very quickly and everything looked good, highly recommend these guys , great work at a great price , even made sure he did get anything on in the vehicle

My 1993 f150 still isn't right. The clutch has no pressure, there's a constant vibration even idling, gas mileage is terrible, and was accused of being rude to the receptionist when calling to check on my dash that they broke while rebuilding my transmission. Edit: My 27 year old truck has had regular tune-ups and oil changes or else it would not have lasted 27 years. As far as your warrantee, I brought it back to you and told you of the problem with my clutch which was not addressed. Thank you for your response

Allen Robbins Transmission's is by far the best place to bring your automobile for Transmission or Automotive repair. Convent to Montgomery and Prattville, Alabama. My entire family has been a long time customer. My Father, all 3 brother's and my husband have taken Car's and Truck's to this business and has always had excellent and timely service from Mr. Allen Robbins. A++ Transmission Shop.

Some pwt lady was very rude when I tried to bring my business to this shop needless to say they probably just lost over $2,000 it s ok there not the only transmission repair facility in this area! I wouldn t let them fix a bike after her nasty attitude, I ll take my business elsewhere! I will also be contacting the better business bureau, as well as the chamber of commerce!
