Not pleased with this business. My wife s 09 Maxima had problems ie leaking fluids and a horrible hesitation. We took the car here and was told it had blown head gaskets and needed valve cover gaskets and they basically blew us off saying it wasn t worth repairing with a 4000.00 estimate. Of course a second opinion was needed and all that was wrong was an ignition coil , valve cover gaskets and plugs and only cost 540.00 And I didn t mention the Chalkville charged us 100.00 for this bogus diagnosis. I may have failed to mention the fluid leak but they were no where near a correct diagnosis. Be aware of things like this

Summary: Closed early even though they knew I was on the way to get my car leaving me without a way to get to work and without my heart medication which was in the car.I have used these guys for years but I will never be back after yesterday. These guys have always been lacking in the customer service department but I just take it on the chin because I thought they were honest and an honest mechanic is hard to come by. I needed one tire swapped out. They got the tire in on Weds and asked that I bring my car there Thursday around 8 am and leave it. A bit inconvenient but I try to be amicable so I agreed. They had my car all day and did not call to tell me I could pick it up until 4:10 pm. I had to borrow a car to run errands that day so I wrap up what I'm doing and start to head over there assuming I would have until their posted closing hour of 5:30 pm to pick it up. My husband and I arrive at 5:15 pm to find the place is completely closed and no one was there. They had closed early when they knew I was coming to retrieve my car. They had tried to call me but I was driving and my phone was in the back seat. I had to scramble to find a ride to work the next morning as I am a nurse and I have to clock in an hour before they even open. Not to mention I had no access to my belongings that were in the car like my work badge and most importantly my HEART MEDICATION. When my husband went there this morning to retrieve my car they tried to gaslight him and say they left at 5:20 pm which isnt true but even if it was, the posted closing time is 5:30 why would you leave early knowing someone was coming to get their car???

I am satisfied with my car repair experience and with the results. Chalkville Auto & Tire was recommended to me because both of our church 's vans are serviced there.I was pleased to see that Chalkville Auto & Tire was NAPA certified. I'd always had good results from auto repair places with that certification.The employees who dealt with were friendly and helpful. I work about mile away, and someone was able to drop me off and pick me up from my place of work.The final cost of my repairs was close to the estimate I was given.I'll continue having my car serviced there and will recommend it to others.

This place is a joke and they deserve NO stars. Never again will I do business with these dishonest and deceitful people who swindled me out of $200. I paid for a diagnosis and didn't even get one, instead I was told I could bring my car BACK and pay more money to get what I requested the first time. If you're going to charge a diagnosis fee, here's an idea, how about give a diagnosis. So if you like flushing your hard earned money down the toilet you'll love this place. I ended up taking my car to a MUCH better company that I wish I would've went to in the first place.Services: Auto A/C replacement, Oil change

The best thing I like about the shop is that diagnostic and pictures of work that needed to be performed. They called me in a timely manner and let me know what needed to be done. My only concern was they quoted me a price over the phone. Then when the vehicle was ready . Informed me that it was a different price. Because the bolts needed to was striped and the labor would be more. Also like the email update they send you on your vehicle. As a woman when you give me a price over the phone for repairs. When I pick up my vehicle it needs to be the same price you quoted me over phone for. Great work but you need quality pricing. I love this shop. They are one of the only places I can find that will work on my Festiva. They also just did a great job replacing my fuel pump and relay to get my Ford Escape back on the road. I highly recommend them from anything to an oil change, to big repairs. Keep up the great work guys.TylerService: General repairs & maintenance

This is absolutely the best place to get your car fixed within 100 miles. Never had to take my car back and it was always a reasonable price.Very friendly and knowledgeable.Great prices.

I was calling around getting quotes for new tires and Bubba was so friendly and communicative that I immediately felt like this was the right place to go, even though the tire quote was a little bit higher than the other quotes I was getting. I knew the store had great reviews and tons of satisfied local customers but their prompt service and their wonderful communication really sold me on the shop. They got the tires in a matter of hours and got me scheduled to come in right away. While I was there we discovered I needed new rear brakes and they took care of that at the same time. I was pleasantly surprised at the overall cost of the service.Services: Tires, Brakes

We took our RV for a front tire balance. Michael was very friendly courteous and accommodating. They completed the work the same day to our surprise. I expected to have to leave it a couple of days. Very nice experience. Will return.

Previously replaced a head gasket on my daughter's car for a very reasonable price and this morning I came in with a simple problem and Michael dropped everything and had it taken care of within 10 minutes and sent me on my way. 10/10 highly recommend!

I've been using Chalkville Auto & Tire for over 20 years and they have done excellent work on all my immediate family's cars. Michael and his team are honest and hard workers and will go out of their way to satisfy the customer and get your car back on the road in a timely manner. I've called them numerous times to describe a problem and they've either given me suggestions on how to fix it or what the problem could be. These guys are a throwback to the old days where service is king - you're not a number with them - it's great doing business with someone you know and consider them a friend.

I have been using Chalkville Auto for many years. They have always been open and honest about the repairs and accomplished them at a reasonable price. For example; my AC was not working in a 2008 Acura, they honestly told me it was a relay (not expensive), where some places would have done a total overhaul and and in 90+ degree weather most would pay.I will continue to use them.....Services: General repairs & maintenance, Air conditioning

Chalkville Auto & Tire Service are Awesome. I called and express what was going on with my vehicle and I was able to drop it off and the very next day I received a vehicle inspection report on everything that needed to corrected on my vehicle. I really appreciate the extra mile you go to take take of your clients, thanks for all you do and look forward to continued business with you.

Chalkville Auto & Tire is the only place we go! We trust them to keep our daughters cars running well and safely. We are thankful to have a mechanic that can keep the 2002 Avalon in good shape, as well as a 2010 Escape! 300k miles? No problem when Michael has been looking after it for all those miles. 350k here we come!

Got a diagnosis and estimate for repair on my vehicle. Decided to call around for other estimates, and they got angry when I found someone charging less than half what they were charging. When the car was picked up, they got rude and made snide remarks. It is my right as a consumer to get estimates and decide which service provider I go with. Not at all professional to get an attitude with someone because they exercised their rights to get other estimates and found someone with much better prices!*Edit to respond*The explanation was not the problem. It was a tune-up. The problem came when you decided to get an attitude when the car was picked up. Snarky remarks are not professional.

I've been using Chalkville Auto many years always friendly and helpful. a few months ago a local competitor tried to take advantage of my young daughter-in-law I took the car to chalkville auto they repaired the car with half the parts and money. still running.
