I have been looking for an independent auto shop for my Porsche. After reading all the favorable reviews about Empire Autohaus I thought I would give them a try and they did not disappoint! I wish I knew about Empire Autohaus sooner. I was having an issue with my VW Jetta but no warning lights were on. I had another shop look at it and they couldn't figure it out. The dealership couldn't take it in for several more days. I was referred to Empire Autohaus and they fit me in the next day, diagnosed the problem and had it fixed that day! Communication was great and the pricing is also fair. Very satisfied and I will be back for future needs.

Every bit of my experience with Empire was excellent. I was struggling to find a place that could do an oil change on my mid-engine car and was recommended to drop by Empire. The day I dropped by they were actually closed but the owner happened to be there and was kind enough to let me in and schedule a service at a later date in the near future. When I brought my car by, it was clear that they cared about my business and made me as comfortable as possible. Their attention to both me and my car was fantastic. I'll be back

Took my GLE 350 for oil leak issue. Mr. Alan & Miss Karan, are very nice & honest people. I highly recommend this shop for service. I definitely will be back. Thank you guys so much.

Karen and Alan have taken great care of my older Alfa Romeo. My most recent work included replacing my worn transmission with a newer one rebuilt by Alan, it totally transformed the car. A big thank you for assessing a check engine light on our 2015 Mercedes ML350 on a Friday afternoon. They had the engine coil in stock and we had the vehicle back that evening. Great customer service with a fair price. If you have a European made car, I recommend you give this mechanic shop a try and you won'tregret it. So glad our friends recommended Empire Autohaus when we needed some mechanic work on the Mercedes.

Worst mechanics everNot fair at all what they did charged me 1400 for something that didn t even get fixed patheticThey told me it was fixed for it to be broken again the next day and their is very unprofessional 100% do not recommend

I'm very happy with the result of the repair. The car runs again very smoothly, like new. I had to wait until the repair could be scheduled, but it was worth to wait. Great service, extremely friendly and the bill was well below to what it was estimated. I can only recommend this shop!!!

This is MY goto for my cars now. Currently own both a Cayenne and a BMW 550i M-Sport.These folks are just the best. I've owned five Porsches and several E Class Mercedes and have long experience with shops in Atlanta, Columbia SC and now Birmingham.Rarely do you find such dedicated, experienced and unpretentious shops like this.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto maintenance

My check engine light came on last week and I was driving out of town for the weekend. I called to see if I could drop my car off for a day so they could have time to look at it before I went out of town. I was told to bring it over and they asked me to wait while their mechanic checked it out. I assumed that meant a quick look and then leave it to pick up later. About 30 minutes later the mechanic came over to me and explained that it was a minor issue and he had reset the check engine light. He also reported that my license plate light was out and that he had taken care of that. I was amazed that he stopped everything he was doing (and he was very busy) to diagnose my car on the spot. I didn't mention the light as an issue but he proactively took care of that. I expected to pay, of course, for this extremely customer oriented service but was simply waved off and was thanked for coming by. Let that sink in- their busy mechanic stopped everything, diagnosed my car, fixed something I didn't mention but he found and charged me NOTHING! If you are sick of being overcharged and disrespected at our local Audi dealership I suggest you come home to Empire Autohaus because they treat you like family. I had a great experience getting routine service performed on my Audi at Empire Autohaus. The online scheduling was painless and the price was as quoted.I was given good feedback regarding what to expect at upcoming service intervals, all with zero upsell pressure or hassle.Alan and Karen were a pleasure to work with and the service was top-notch. I look forward to working with them in the future.

These guys are awesome . Very professional but with a comfortable family atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable. I had a very frustrating issue with my 1993 BMW 318I. I tried to fix it and had another Professional try to fix but it seemed unfix able. Jason got after it and now it runs like a dream. Called in for service on my 17 Golf R, wanted an independent mechanic to take care of the car out of warranty. Scheduled me quickly and spoke details about the Haldex service, even though it was not common. Great service and I think I found a new shop!

I was very lucky to find Empire Autohaus. Last year I purchased a 2007 (now 13 year old) VW Jetta, and I have had really wonderful experiences having it cared for here. I am amazed how I am treated like royalty despite the advanced dilapidation of my vehicle. They always treat the car with great care, and have wonderful communication with me about any ongoing repairs, and the mechanic himself will call to explain to me my options to keep my car running it s best. I love that they respect my car s condition, and have never suggested spending more on the car than it s worth. But at the same time they give me more than my fair share of attention on the phone at at the office. I feel like I must be driving a million dollar Ferrari by how focused they are on taking care of me!I can t say enough good things about Empire Autohaus. I m getting tired of my VW, and have been contemplating a purchasing a new car. The service I ve received has been so positive I am considering purchasing a European car just so I can continue to use this shop for maintenance!Services: Electrical repair, Tires, Auto engine diagnostic, Wheel alignment, Battery, Oil change

Was traveling through Alabama and my drive belt decided to break. Luckily I found Empire Autohaus! I couldn t have asked for better service at a better price. I wish I lived closer to Pelham so I could use them all the time. If you have a European car this is the place for you!!!

Let's just say they are so good you have to book weeks in advance. Improvements... expand. Hire more mechanics and get a larger shop so we can get service faster.

Empire Autohaus is a wonderful dealer alternative. They are competitively priced and demonstrate a mastery of their trade second to none. Alan and Karen truly are wonderful, genuine people who take pride in a job well done and always try to do the right thing. We have used them off and on for close to 8 years now for vehicles ranging from modern BMW E46 3 Series and Mazdaspeed MX5s to classics such as our MGB GT V8 and Fiat Spyder. The staff is always courteous and forthcoming with detailed information regarding the repair work they perform and the costs for the services and parts. If you are looking for a trustworthy dealer alternative in the Birmingham area that always provides top notch service, give these guys a call. You will not regret it.

Incompetent Buffoons.It has gotten to the point where I now would refuse to take my car to Empire Autohaus if they volunteered to work for free. Every time I have taken my car there recently It has come back with a new and often worse problem. The final time the owner said he would personally fix the problem but another incompetent employee bent part of my top and messed it up. I now believe that it would be less expensive to have the work done at The Porsche dealership itself than at Empire Autohaus simply because at Porsche I only have to pay and go once whereas here I have to go once initially and then however many times are then necessary to fix the problems that they create while fixing the initial problem. It is pointless, and becomes expensive. I expect my car to come back from the shop in better condition than I brought it; That does not happen at Empire Autohaus.

Alan, Johnathon, Karen and Julie are all great.You can't find anyone more honest than Alan and Karen to provide great service at a fair price.Alan worked for Alfa and Mercedes and knows cars on the service and engineering side of manufacturing.

I called Empire when field mice had chewed thru our BMW's electrical system while at Oak Mountain State Park. They were very friendly, professional, and had it fixed in less than two days. Completely satisfied.
