A lead spring broke on our tow-behind RV. We couldn t get the part locally, nor did we have the tools/equipment for this kind of repair. My husband called Minton Auto, Truck and RV. Fast response to the campground where we were located and had it fixed in just over an hour. Price was VERY reasonable for a service call, parts and labor. Highly recommend!

I needed help with my RV at Talladega. Sonny made it out as soon as possible and diagnosed the problem. Wasn t able to exactly fix it as it needed a shop repair but provided a work around and told me what he would do If it came into the shop. Excellent Customer Service!

Exceptional service. Travelling in RV when we heard the "dreaded noise" from the engine. Minton bent over backward to accomodate! Understands life on the road. Got us diagnosed, parts delivered over night, worked us into schedule and we were on our way next day. What service and skill. Plus treated us and our dog like family!

great service, great folks...always frustrating to have an rv issue on the road and have shops say "just drop it off, we'll get to it maybe next week"...sonny hoped in the rig, diagnosed the issue, odered the parts and had us on the road 2 days later...at a reasonable price...i would be happy to go back...well, not happy, i would prefer not to...but i would trust them without my rig without a second thought...

Pulled up to the Talledega infield and our camper AC was not working. Called Minton and within an hour Sonny came out to diagnose the problem. He explained the problem order the parts and had us chilling 3 hours after the initial call. Friendly fast and courteous service. Highly recommend Minton.

Minton was courteous, friendly, professional and excellently performed necessary upgrades to the rear suspension of our 2021 Class C RV.The problem was the back of our RV was 4-6" lower than the front and was causing issues to the undercarriage when encountering low clearance scenarios.After ordering the parts, they were able to get the whole computerized airbag system on and alloe us to be on our way without any delays or hiccups.As a traveler just passing through we were very happy and satisfied to get the work performed in a timely manner so we could go on our merry way with confidence.

Very happy with all that was done. Michelle, Jessica were great. Sonny was very helpful in what he knew and recommendations were spot on. The people here are so friendly! They did all service and repairs in less than a week. They knew we were leaving to move to New Mexico and had to have it back. He stayed late to make sure it happened! Incredible service and work! A rare combination these days and very much appreciated!! Highly recommend. Came to our aid after a tire blow out caused severe damage to our RV. Repaired everything at our campsite--new tire, new flooring, lots of electrical repairs, etc. The owner, who was the primary person working on our repair, was both friendly and professional. He did the job way faster than we would have expected a typical RV dealer service center and at a much more reasonable price. I can't say enough positive things about dealing with these gentleman today. I was camping in Talladega and found that my pop up camper wouldn't go down while we were packing up. After calling they arrived promptly at my camp site and got to work. I don't know a whole lot about the mechanics of my camper and he was not condescending and took the time to explain what happened and how to ultimately fix it. The price was beyond fair and we were most impressed with the "southern hospitality" we were shown by this company. I hope I don't need them again but you can bet if I'm ever in a bind like that again I won't hesitate to call. Awesome service. Thank you guys!

Absolutely Amazing. In Our RV we lost power on our plugs andappliances. After explaining what happened to the repairman showed us a restart switch on the generator itself. It took 5 minutes at this location to get back on the road. No charge. Sonny is the co owner. What a great place to do business.

I purchased a 2005 Coachmen Spirit of America travel trailer from this business over two years ago through my brother-in-law who was an employee at the time. I also paid them additional money to have services and repairs done to the camper to make it usable and/or more enjoyable (i.e. standard service, minor misc. repairs, and a new awning installed). At the time of purchase, I WAS made aware it was a salvage title and I was fine with this. After the work was completed (totaling around $2,200) I was given the title and a bill of sale and was told to take it to the DMV and they would transfer it into my name.But when I got to the DMV they informed me the title status showed SALVAGE and in order to transfer it to my name it had to show as REBUILT. Until Minton corrects this, they will not move it into my name and issue me a registration tag. I took the title back to them and was assured they would get this problem corrected. I learned that to get it changed to rebuilt, the State of Alabama has to do an inspection on it to confirm it is road-worthy.Unfortunately, all of this occurred right before the COVID-19 pandemic began and this is what I was initially told as being the cause of all delays. From then until now I have been given excuse after excuse as to why they have not been able to get me a title, mainly putting all blame on the titling office in Montgomery. I have since spent several thousand dollars as well as a few hundred personal man hours remodeling this camper and it resembles very little the camper I bought back in early 2020. I have also contacted the main titling offices in Montgomery. In addition to confirming they have not received ANY title paperwork from Minton RV for the trailer with my VIN, there is THERE IS NO REASON WHY THEY CANNOT SUBMIT THE PAPERWORK to get the title status corrected and issued to me. Minton has since quit returning my calls and texts.I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and have begun thinking outside the box on alternate means of getting this issue resolved. To be clear, the MAINTENANCE WORK they did to the camper when it was first purchased was satisfactory and I have no complaints. But I would strongly urge anyone wanting to PURCHASE ANYTHING from this business to go elsewhere!

We were just down at TALLADEGA racetrack, infield and our slide would not go out or in. Someone gave us this number to call. Two young men came. Very prompt. They knew what the problem was (wires crossed) and fixed it. We were so happy and the two young men each gave me a hug. ( My husband just laughed). Also they were very polite and had manners. Thank you

My RV slide-out would not open. After looking at several videos and searching for answers I called around looking for help. With a booked schedule Minton was out the very next day!!I was privileged to meet the owner who was not only knowledgeable and fast but also a loving family man which was a plus in my book!! He didn't try to waste time or add on frivolous charges- he found the problem in less than 10mins!! This was another plus since there were no videos on manually sliding out my particular model. He showed me how to fix it if the problem continued- another plus!!So if you are looking for honest work done by an honest man with integrity And fair prices Minton is the place to go or call as they do offer mobile services- and for my sake I was glad they did!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

This place is great...Fantastic service and friendly people! Our RV trailer brakes locked up because of electrical malfunction and we needed help to get back on the road. They got us in for service quickly when no one else would. We were there when they opened in the morning (8:00 am) and they worked hard to get needed parts and the service done. We were on the road by lunchtime. Way to go Mintons! We appreciate all you did for us.

I have been to this shop for several repairs. They are great with generators and the only people that can touch Onan in the area. My most recent experience is with RV body repair. They did an alright repair on one part of the job and destroyed another part of the camper. I would imagine they are alright at small jobs but they struggle with large ones. If it is a major repair I would suggest to find a different shop. I gave 3 star because I have had great service here and at the same time I have had absolutely terrible service and no satisfaction.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I had to have 3 axel caps installed due to a previous mechanics failure of over torquing the caps and falling off a few miles down the road. They got me in and out quickly. Repacked bearings and ensure everything was good to go. The staff was really friendly and helpful. We were staying at Talledega raceway and needed an obscure part for an RV generator and they had it in stock. They are not to far from Talledega - about 20 minutes, and they didn't have the usual crowd from there. It's a best kept secret if your camping for the race and need help.

Traveling with a new rv doesn't mean you won't have trouble. Our travel plans wouldn't allow us to wait a month for warranty repairs to the hydraulic leveling system. We were stuck with jacks down unable to move. These folks supplied us the proper parts and would have came to our campsite if I were unable to make the repairs. Their knowledge and competence and willingness to help made a bad situation much easier to deal with.

I had a follow up appointment for them to fix my RV refrigerator on the 27th. This morning they showed up. On the 26th. Prior to this I dealt with a very disrespectful woman in the office over the phone. I was talked down to, and basically told I m stupid. She yelled at me, so I yelled back. They have refused to come back out to finish the work they started. This all began nearly a month ago. It s been a nightmare.

He has nice cars and trucks and RVs and they are reasonable priced and he is a nice friendly man he is just your average business man go by and check out some of his cars and trucks and don't forget his RVs and he also has a trailer park if you're in need of a good place to rent you know he's the man to ask CHECK him out

Awesome people. They went out of their way to come to my house and winterize our camper before a winter freeze. Pricing is very reasonable as well! I recommend them to anyone needing service for campers.

They installed a Big Foot leveling system on my C class motor home. Everything they did looks like it came from the factory. Had a little trouble with where the leveling sensor was mounted. Called them, no problems they ask me to bring it back in. Took them a little over 2 hours to relocate new sensor. Great Job Minton RV!!!!Thanks, Michael Spradling

Said they were swamped after the tornadoes but fit us in & got our dying RV generator functioning again so we were back on the road in less than 2 hours. Exceptional service & friendly people.

Mike and Cheryl here and we have a 44 foot Class A motorhome. We had an electrical problem while camping at Cheaha Mountain State Park. Sonny came out within an hour and started working on the problem immediately. He was very knowledgeable on motorhomes and help us get the motorhome started. Fast service, big help, nice staff - we were at Talladega for race weekend and our motorcoach starter gave out. We called them first thing this morning (8am), they found us one, had it to us in record time. My husband installed it and we were on our way home before 12noon. Thank you!
