Went there a couple times a few years back because I was making almost daily trips into Birmingham and the massive potholes and bad streets really created major problems for the front end of my Jeep. The did a good job on what they did and what I could afford but with so much damage done I finally sold the vehicle. They were very friendly and helpful and explained my problems and what needed to bring it back to a good condition. Id recommend them and probably go back to them if needed

Good prices and services but I got an alignment on 3 cars and then steering wheel on all was slightly to the right. They need to calibrate their machine.

Broke the master to my locking lug nuts. Just said it happens all the time. When I asked if he would pay for the replacement he said no not really. I had just bought tires a few months before. The master lug replacement was $15.00. They lost my business over 15.00! Don t put the impact on the lug nut master!!! It will break! A tire store should know this!

I'll never use this company again. I went in in Friday March 25 at around 4:13 pm to get an alignment and they checked me out at 4:21 .my car Is still pulling to the right just like it was before I went to Elgin so I ask 4 mechanics and Pete Shirley tire and all say the same thing 45 minutes to an hour and all Elgin can say it only takes 10 minutes .I think they wanted to go home and didn't help me at all lesson learned

Alignment, car pulls the other way now and steering wheel not straight. Tires not balanced, went somewhere else to get the tires rebalanced now it's right

The owner and his son are really great people. They always make sure your happy and do everything they can to make sure their customers are very well taken care of. Your not just another number there. Highly recommend to anyone needing tires, brakes, front end work, etc.

The guys were very helpful but couldn't replace my struts because of special tools needed. They rebuilt a front end of a truck I had before and did such a great job I returned for my struts. Unfortunately gotta go to dealership.

Great service great for getting tires mounted and balanced,so why one star . Well my chrome rims are destroyed by tire machine.wished I'd looked before I got home. Lessson learned , never had that problem at dealership

During the summer my 17 year old son took his Jeep here to get an alignment. One of the guys yanked his door handle off and my son saw it, but when he got the jeep back it looked fine. He comes home to Ohio and goes to open that back door and it comes off. It had been hot glued on. We are from there, I'll make sure everyone knows. Also, they charged him $100 and did not do a full alignment.

I will NEVER use Elgin tire again. EVER! I have used them for many years but after the way I was treated today I will not ever go back. I called to see if they had my tire size and they said yes they did and they could get me in if I was there in 30 minutes. So I leave work early and get there within the 30 minutes I was given and they will not see me. The owner stated and I quote " You can be mad or whatever. I don't care but I will not get you in today because I do not want to pay over time." Which I completelyt understand but with that being said your employee should not have told me to come on in and they could get to me. It's not like I showed up unexpectedly. I did call ahead and specifically asked if they could get me today if I left work. He truely did not care and was one of the rudest people I have had to deal with in customer service. People are always saying shop local but local businesses need to treat others with respect if they want to get the locals business. I have never talk to or been treated like that at a majore tire cooperation. So I will just take my business back to bigger coopertions where if your told something they will follow through.

Well I got quoted a different price and charge something something else no big deal I'll just never deal with them I do not care for this kind of business

My go to for tires, brakes, and alignments. They are great. Very reasonable. Very courteous. Will go above and beyond to help you. You won't get better service anywhere.

I went to get my alignment done on my car. Yes it's lowered the guy stated it would be difficult. But when I left I went to a friends and went to my car later that evening and noticed something odd bout my wheels.. They have marks where the alignment tool was over tighten on my wheels. And yes I have after market wheels that were professionally painted and now I have marks on every spoke on all 4 wheels. I went back today and said we have a problem. The owner gave me attitude and said show me ur wheels like I was lying. And he wants to continue to try and talk over me and saying oh we work on 50 to 60k BMW's and trucks I can't help you with ur marked wheels. And he had the nerve to say I'm sorry I can't help you and your 500$ car that I know you are proud of. It got to the point I said to him you are talking over me like I'm a kid well excuse me sir I am 24years old and I have worked in plenty of shops dealing with painted wheels and I didn't put marks on them so thanks a lot for messing up my wheels I waited patiently for 3 weeks to have done and to be cured now they have to be sand blasted again and re painted. So now I'm out 60$ for an alignment that wasn't even done right my car is still messed up and 500$ paint job for the wheels.. I highly would not recommend this place he has always been rude to me every time prior to this. I wouldn't doubt his employees would messed up a BMW wheels and he would say oh sorry I can't help you there..i may drive a 95 del Sol S but it doesn't matter you don't treat a customer that is paying you to work on their car to mess up their car I know from being the guy working on the car..i had a co worker mess up a wheel from putting on the tire he was careless and we replaced the wheel and he lost his job so..thanks a lot elgins for messing up all my wheels..added pic of one of my wheels to the main page..

I highly recommend Elgin Tire Service, if your looking for honest reliable service look no further, I thought I needed brakes took my car to them and it turned out my brakes were fine I also needed tires they ordered them replaced them fast and at a reasonable price I highly recommend Elgin Tire
