L&S sells the best of the best. I wrecked two big-box chainsaws on a 36 red oak before heading to L&S. Lance sold me an XP550 saw that cut the entire tree up - over 50 feet - in about an hour. Husqvarna equipment and tools are the real deal. We have bought a mower, blower, trimmer, and saw from L&S over the years plus plenty of parts and service. Never disappointed. Great advice, too. Ask for Lance, Chris, or Mr. Peabody.

Horrible customer service. Rude and preoccupied with helping anyone else that came in after me. Figured I would receive better service buying direct at a dealer with a showroom. First lady wouldn't leave the counter and couldn't answer any details regarding basic specs. Seemed annoyed that I asked questions and had to look up stuff on her computer. Another older man later joined in asking if I needed help, even ruder if that was possible. Wanted to know the differences between 2 zero turn models. He didn't know and told me to look it up online and walked off.No point in having a showroom if they don't even know what they are selling. If they treat potential buyers this badly, I would hate to find out how they would treat future warranty or repairs. Save your money, time and go with another dealer. I would gladly drive farther away to avoid this place. Explains why they have so many negative reviews.

I've known the owner for a number of years and he is a man of integrity. The work I have had done there was always done properly, on time and for a very reasonable fee. Highly recommend!

Love this Husqvarna dealer in Montevallo. The owner is full of valuable information and always leads me in good decisions. The young woman at the counter always works diligently to find me the right parts for my equipment and is so good with customer service!! I also have friends who bought outdoor equipment here and have good things to say about their experiences. If you have Husqvarna outdoor equipment needs purchase or repairs, give these guys a try!!

Absolutely horrible service. Do not waste your time here unless you want an awful experience. i m not sure if they are racist, or just pathetic but they don t value their customers and couldn t answer a single simple question. I don t know how they are still in business but I would rather pay extra somewhere else and be treated like a human, than give these people a dime. 0/10 stars

My husband went in to get spark plugs and spark plug wires for our Husqvarna lawnmower. We gave them the model number and serial number of the lawnmower they ordered us the parts and when we got home they didn t fit when we called them back they said no refunds no swapping out or anything and I just don t think it s fair when you bring in your model number and serial numbers off of stuff they order what you re supposed to get in when it s not the right part you re screwed you re stuck with it for their mistakeit s just not right totally disappointed well, not use these guys again and will not recommend them either

DON'T GO HERE. Very bad experience. Poor customer service. They had my mower for 6 weeks for routine maintenance that should have only taken 2-3 weeks per their own estimate. I called them after 4 weeks to find out they had not even started working on it. I asked them to make sure they had all the parts ordered. Then after 6 weeks they had not ordered a certain part and wanted me to wait an additional 3 weeks. No thanks. Plus they charged 2 hours labor to replace a blade, spark plug, and oil change. That's too much. I spoke to the owner Lance and he does not care about customer service or customer complaints.

Great place! Owner is very helpful. They picked up my mower and repaired and serviced it and then delivered it back to me and didn't charge an arm and a leg like some places. I will definitely be letting them do my service from now on.

Absolute worst experience ever!! If i could give it zero stars, i would. We have bought several things from here because we are firm believers in "shop locally". This business gives local shops a bad name and makes it hard to shop locally. We bought a blower about 2 years ago, used it 3 times and it quit. Took it here to have it fixed. He finally, after 3 months, gave us a new one. Used the new one twice and it did the same thing. It's been there for 2 months. We call to check on it because we haven't heard anything and the man tells us, "you know why you haven't heard from me? Because I haven't heard from you." Ummmmm, sir, that is not the way you do business. Someone drops something off for you to fix with all info you need and that's your excuse?

My grandfather bought a new MZ48 from them and he had nothing but problems with it before it s first service the motor burnt the oil and it was empty and they told him he cutting to fast with it and grass is to thick but it s not and it s been there three more times cause it s smoking while cutting now and it s bogging down while cutting grass and we have video of it and they had it for a week said nothing wrong with it and charged him to get and told him don t return with that mower and he got a 4 year warranty I contacted corporate to report the unprofessional company

Very slow!!! They've had my saw for 6 months!!! All i get are lies and excuses!! I will never use them again, would not recommend them to work on anything ever again!!! 6 months and still waiting for my saw to be repaired. I have been more than patient with them!! Only giving one star because i cant go any lower!! They deserve negative 50 stars!!

Nice, hard working guys. Took our generator to be serviced and he did a great job. They are slammed with business which is great for them but its the only downfall for us. It took several weeks to get it back, but he did fully disclose the backlog before we dropped it off. All in all, we ll use him again!

Purchased a 42 zero turn this week. Chris at the Pelham location helped me with what i would need. Then It was delivered to my home and Peabody took his time showing me all of it features and how to take care of it. Thank you for the great customer service. You guys rock!

I went into the store and talked to the owner, Lance. We talked for a couple of hours about which model of zero turn mowers would suit both the needs of my lawn and the capability of my checking account. I walked away with a true appreciation of the knowledge of this individual. I have taken delivery of a new RZ54i. The whole buying experience was pleasant, and there is no doubt in my mind that if this unit ever requires any maintenance, that L and S Small Engine will take care of both my mower and of me. Can not express how much of a positive experience this was.

This is the worst place to take a Husqvarna mower for repair. Left my mower on Jan 18 and was told they would advise problem all I ever received was we will call you on problem. Never received a call, had to call them every week to try and get answers. Was told they could not find a part I went on line and found the part. Customer Service and concern for customers and communications are lacking. There are other Husqvarna repair places that care about customers Would not use them for anything.

Ordered a belt with part number in hand. Owner gave us the wrong belt and we didn't know it until the install process. We brought the belt back showing that the part numbers don't match what was ordered and they would not swap/credit return. Owner got ugly and pointed to the no return policy! They gave us the wrong part!!! We will send all our business to someone else.

Went here to simply get a bolt losened to replace my blade and belt. The lady and man who I initially spoke with was nice. When the man called Ricky was called over to help. Ricky was very nasty and continued to tell me that I would need to have the bolt removed and replace by an air tool. I knew this was not true because I replaced the blade myself, I was just unable to do it because I had the lawnmower previously serviced and the bolt was tightened we re I couldn t remove it. I told him that I was not asking for this to be done for free but he was so nasty and keep saying we don t do this. I told him that I would take it somewhere else. This is one of the worst places to try to get service on your Husqvarna. Well never ever ever go to this backwoods place again. I d rather pay to have it done at Lowe s if it comes down to it. Places like this that think they don t have to treat customers with good customer service will only last for so long especially in this small city.

The worst owner I ve ever deal with for a public business. How many bad reviews can a place get before there s a change. Purchased a drive belt and It broke within 10 mins. He didn t make the belt but should ve been a warranty issue if belt was believed to be defective. He acts like it costs him money to warranty parts he sells. Don t waste your time at this location!

I brought in my Husqvarna string trimmer in for service. Owner took one look at my proof of purchase (online through Lowe's and still under warranty) and said he would not work on it because he never seems to get any reimbursement for fixing warranty items. On my way out, I decided that if he didn't have enough intelligence to figure out how to get paid by his parent company, then I didn't want him working on my equipment. This is the first (and last) piece of Husqvarna equipment I will ever own.

NEVER EVER take your business to this place! The owner is the biggest jerk I've encountered in a long time. Rude, arrogant, and verbally abusive toward his female co-worker, whom I suspect was his wife. He embarrassed her in front of another customer and me for several minutes. Then, he was rude to me. He has no concern for customers and he falsely advertises that he does small engine repair. Wrong. He sells Husqvarna equipment. If I wanted any I'd fly to Alaska to buy it before I'd drive the short distance to Montevallo, AL. The Better Business Bureau will be hearing from me about this jerk next. If I could give him zero stars I would.

, BUYER BEWARE!!!!!Last May I purchased a commercial zero turn, commercial chain saw as well as the commercial hedge trimmer. I told the owner I wanted a suspension seat and he told me if I would buy, he would throw the seat in but he had to make sure he had the seat ..i was then told he had it. I purchased the items and was told to let him know when I could bring it back to have the seat put on. He told me he would need a week to get it mounted. i was helping a friend in the area and carried it by early Monday morning and that's when this guys true colors started showing. I passed by there about three or four times (didn't stop) between Monday and Thurs just to see if it was being worked on but it NEVER MOVED!!! I called on Fri morning and told them I needed to come get my mower (meaning I needed to cut my 3 + acres of grass and bring it back on Monday but I did not say that) and the lady I spoke with said she would let him know. I get a call back in about 10 mins and the same lady informs me that he (the owner) said that if I came and got MY mower he would never put that seat on for me. Well after going around and around with husqvarna Corp. They got me set up with a real dealer that knows how to treat people ..i have to drive farther but I don't have to put up with this clown. To tell you what kind of character you will be dealing with, when I started dealing with the other company, they inform me there isn't a suspension seat for my Z554 in the entire husqvarna corporation because it is a brand new model. I wonder how this guy had one? It's a MIRACLE!!!! Also, on Friday when I picked my mower up the fuel gauge on the left hand tank was showing empty, tank was full but not showing it. I saw several very negative reviews on this place before I bought but like an idiot I bought from this....GUY anyway.BIG MISTAKE!!!!! SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF HEADACHES AND NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS GUY!!!!! HE ALSO OWNS THE STORE IN PELHAM!!! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!!!BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

I don't know what the big stink is with the owner. He's really a knowledgeable individual. Walked in for a part on my mower that was broken. Brought the part with me, he matched it perfectly! Went home and installed everything back to OEM standards and viola!I will be going back to L&S for my mowers!P.S. to those who don't like the labor hours, maybe you should learn a little about your mower and fix it yourself. With this method you can skip out on labor charges.

Little shop we discovered with Google in Montevallo. My husband was looking for a lawn mower part. They seem like a helpful careing place and explained to him what information they needed in order to get his part ordered. Their price for a new one was the same for a used one at another place!

Very knowledgeable about small engines and has good deals especially if you buy more. The bundle packages are an awesome deal. You can get 3 for the price of one sometimes cheaper.

Be sure and read carefully the manifesto that is posted on the wall above the parts counter before you do business with these people. Pay particular attention to the statement (out of context) "we don't need you as a customer." They mean this literally. The service manager carries a pistol on his belt, for what that is worth.....Not recommended. Husqvarna is an over-rated brand.

Worst (small engine repair) worse place ever the guy is so rude and he changes the prices on everything false advertisement very rude guy argues about everything came to pick up two blowers that I dropped off weeks ago and he couldn t give them back to me cause he has to (write them up) and tell me how much I owed him and he told me I m not doing that today very lazy guy never seen anybody like this man

Let me just start by saying that WE all know what opinions ARE???? I went by and needed a part for my briggs & stratton Motor. The lady at the counter was VERY helpful. They did not have not could they order the part for me. But she went out of her WAY to write down the part number for me and let me know that NAPA may have it. Also she informed me that there was another smaller lawn mower shop just down the street. ALL of this, SHE DIDNT have to do. The people there are JUST STRAIGHT TO THE POINT, 100% HONEST & DONT have time or PATIENCE for B.S. OH YEA and the service manager or whom ever he is; has his pistol on his hip because of 2 reasons. One is they probably WONT be robbed. And 2 is BECAUSE HE CAN!!!!!! Have a WONDERFUL DAY

This guy just flat out refused to service my Husqvarna blower 125b, simply because he is busy and I bought it at Lowes.. Even though he is an authorized H repair location and dealer, who H customer service sent me to through a zip code search.. How people run businesses like this continues to amaze me..
