I took my vehicle here for a $97 oil change two weeks ago on my way to work in the morning. Oil change was short and sweet as usual. I drove my vehicle home that evening and upon pulling up to my garage, I can see that there is smoke coming from underneath the hood of the vehicle. I look down, and the check engine light is now on (it was not previously on). I opened the hood of the vehicle and I can see oil all over the engine by the oil cap. I wiped all the oil all that evening and cleaned everything up to see if it was still leaking. I couldn't see anything visibly and the cap seemed to be on. I drove the vehicle back over to work the next morning, stopping along the way to see if oil was leaking. It was. When I arrived at Express oil, I asked for the manager and the assistant manager Patrick was on duty. He came out to the vehicle and I explained what had occurred. Patrick promptly spotted that the oil cap assembly had not been seated properly on the engine. He cleared the code, and apologized for the problem. At the time, I thought that was the end of it. However, two days later, an engine code reappeared. I checked the codes myself each time the check engine light came on - vacuum leak, map sensor, intake airflow performance. I called Patrick and let him know we were still getting codes since the oil change mishap, and he told me to bring it back to him so they could diagnose. I brought it back, but I cleared the code before driving it over. Patrick informed me he couldn't read the codes from history and I needed to bring it back when the code was on. The code came on again last night and I brought the car back today with the code on. Patrick was not in the shop, but the manager Tom was on duty. I explained to Tom what happened and left the car with him. He called me about 30 minutes later and told me the code was related to the engine turbo. Immediately, Tom dismissed any notion that they could have caused any damage to the vehicle. He sent me to the Express location on University to have diagnostics as he stated they were not able to perform the diagnostics at Grelot. Tom assured me they were waiting on my arrival. When I arrived, I spoke with the mechanic on duty who stated he didn't know anything about it. I explained, and then another guy (i assume the manager) came over who knew about it. I left the car with them to perform "diagnostics". The car was there from 9AM to 4:30PM when I received a call indicating it was "pointing towards the turbo". I went and picked up the vehicle. They asked me to pay a diagnostic fee at the University location which I refused. I called Tom back and informed him what they told me. Tom told me at that time that it was his stance that Express oil change was at no fault and had nothing to do with any damage to the vehicle. I told Tom that previous to coming to their location , we had no issues and no check engine light on the vehicle. We got an oil change which was performed improperly, and check engine codes began within 24 hours and haven't stopped since. Tom stated "if you want to take it to the dealership and get them to write a letter that we caused the issue, then we will take the blame". I told Tom that's ok, we will agree to disagree, and we will just ensure that we don't bring our vehicles back here again.I have a coworker who went to this same location a few months back. These guys didn't install the oil plug right and all the oil in the vehicle drained out into the road while he was driving the vehicle down the road!If you are in the running for a $100 oil change that comes with a secondary bill for engine damage, this is the place for you!

They were good with fixing my rotors and brakes but gave me more mileage on my oil than I was supposed to go. I had to get topped with oil right at three thousand miles. I was told I should get topped off around that time but was never told that before. They said Hyundai motors drink a lot of oil, but if you knew that aren't you suppose let the customer know. But they are all nice and helpful just be mindful as well.

Pat & Tom always take wonderful care of our cars. They are honest, helpful & go above & beyond. They recently found and fixed an issue w/my sons car where another place said they couldn t do anything because the check engine light wasn t on. This Grelot location is the absolute best. They make sure my kids are safe traveling back & forth to college.

My new Go To oil change and tire service.Took my Tacoma there for an oil change. They were quick and professional service.Then I took my Carola there to have some tires mounted and balanced. Once again, they were quick and professional.No more Wally World!!

I have been taking my car to Express Oil for over 10 years since I started driving. I have been to probably 8 different locations through the state and I always have a great experience. I now use mostly the Grelot location. I am always warmly greeted and helped swiftly. I also just always appreciate that when I need them to look at something I m worried about or fill up a low tire with air they do it happily and send me on my way without charge. It makes me feel very comfortable there and I always go there for my oil changes and even for alignments, tires, etc . Today Tyler helped me replace my cabin air filter and he was so patient and hardworking, even at the very end of the work day. I am grateful for him and all the staff at Express!

Went to one location needing oil change and fuel filter. They sent me to another location and said they d have it. I went to the second location and advise what I needed and they said they had it and could do it and then after changing my oil advise me they could not change the fuel filter.When the lady helping went and ask the manager, he said he didn t have the manpower and just blew it off. Bad service

Took 2 vehicles there yesterday for the first time. I am usually nervous when going to somewhere new as I have had bad experiences and have a hard time trusting mechanics. I was very pleased with how nice and efficient the service was. They didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. Even after I asked about my squeaky breaks, they looked at them and assured me they were good. I will definitely return and recommend. It's nice to have somewhere to go that I can trust not to give me bad advice to make an extra buck. I wish I remembered names of the one's helping me, but they were all very friendly.

First, I would like to thank the manager, Tom for his leadership role with the Grelot Road location.Asher, Tyler, and Lexi were just pure gold If Lexi hadn't noticed that my oil was gushing out as I was leaving the shop, then my Lexus would have burned up. I don't have to tell you that a new engine for a Lexus RX 350 is the cost of a very nice used vehicle. I am so grateful that your crew members are always honest and extremely helpful .I have used Express Oil for years and I get the same superior and honest service every time. That alone speaks volumes over your competitors.Please give the accolades so well deserved to your employees I can't thank them enough. Ya'll always do a top notch job and it doesn't go unnoticed!

Went by here almost 2 weeks ago for an oil change after being recommended by my father who had visited a location across the bay. Service was quick once you get in the door, but my issue lies in the fact that I requested an itemized receipt because it was far more expensive than I was told it would be, and I wanted to compare to another receipt from the other location. Their printer was overheating, so I was not given a paper receipt. I asked instead if I could be emailed the receipt for my records, and multiple employees said that they would email it to the email I gave them. I have not received said email. In addition to this I was being rushed out the door so they could close early. It was very unprofessional, and I do not intend to return.Service: Oil change

Wonderful people and very efficient & professional service. I only needed air in my tires since the air pump at the gas stations do nothing for your tires yet they charge people, & Express helped me free of charge. I will come here again. The people are very kind and trustworthy, and their prices for other things are very affordable

I had my oil change at Express Oil for the first time yesterday. I have to say it was the best experience I ve ever had with my car maintenance. Cela , the mechanic was performing the oil change. She was polite and professional and knowledgeable. She went over and above to take the time to answer all my questions. I wanted to take the time to acknowledge an excellent employee who obviously loves her job and has a wonderful way with the public. Great job and I will be back.Service: Auto maintenance
