I had a great time at MINI of Birmingham! Valerie Wallace was patient with me as I tried to remember how to operate a stick shift. She and I laughed at my minor mistakes, and I had a ball! She helped me get into the car I wanted, and she didn't pressure me to look at something else. I loved the experience of working with other women. Both my salesperson and my finance "guy" were women. I say "guy" because I am always told to see "our finance guy." This experience was a complete joy, and as you can see from my picture, I am totally stoked to have my new ride. I am blessed by God!! Thank you, ladies!!

Dion is the best person I ve ever dealt with for my car. He is honest and very friendly. I ve known Dion for almost 4 years now and he has never let me down.Update Heard he no longer works there

Getting service is not such a chore when there is a nice bright lobby to wait, with large tv screen, magazines, and comfortable chairs. They have complementary coffee, water, and snacks...even a hydration station and nice welcome for my dog! Waiting lobby is conveniently arranged between service center and showroom; has fun Mini swag / gear like shirts and wheels. Large, easy access restrooms near waiting area. Pleasant to stroll around car lot dreaming of a new Mini while you wait too. Of course I wish service prices were lower. But I can't complain, my 2009 6-speed Mini Cooper Clubman is still going strong. And Dion Belcher is great, he is like an expert service manager and friendly host in one--treats you right, and lets you know what's going on with your car start to finish.

Had an appt. for oil change/service yesterday on my 2016 mini (25,000 miles on vehicle), my car has been operating well. They kept my car for over two hours at a separate nondisclosed location. The tall man that checked me in was very rude, not helpful or informative. I was told that my vehicle sevice check was $130.00, engine oil/filter $109.95, brake fluid $179.90 for a total of $459.04 which included a military veteran discount. They also said I needed a new battery at the low cost of $469.88, which I had it checked elsewhere and is fine, they also said I needed front/rear brake replacement for another low cost of $1543.31, which I also had checked elsewhere and are also fine. Furthermore, to be honest, I can't say for sure that they even changed my oil/filter or brake fluid. I think I was just taken for almost a weeks pay for nothing except a rude two hours wait. Watch these folks, I think they only service the elite class. I have notice that the car is riding really rough since yesterday morning, like the suspension system is weaker, not good when your car leaves with problems it didn't have previously.

Bought a Mini that I designed online as a surprise for my wife's birthday long distance which means that there were lots of moving parts that had to be dealt with in a manner that wasn't necessarily convenient for the staff. They went above and beyond at every turn and I am eternally grateful. The dealership also gave me what I consider a very fair trade-in value for my wife's old car. Would highly recommend doing business with these folks! They value you as a customer.

We ordered a new Mini and were kept up to date on its details and date of arrival. When we went to pick it up everything was exactly as had been described. Our sales person was there waiting for us and went through a comprehensive introduction to the car. It was a great experience and good fun. Love my new little 2-door Mini.

My tire had a screw in it. I brought it into Mini on a Thursday and they took it right away to check it out. I waited only briefly before they told me it would be Monday before the tire was in. I was given a loaner vehicle to drive - same kind as my current car, so that was very nice. The tire was delayed, but I picked up my repaired Countryman on Tuesday. Picking it up and paying took 15 mins max. My car was washed and everything was great. Dion at Mini is amazing and I always appreciate the great customer service.

I have purchased 4 cars from this dealership.The first 2 went perfect. But the salesperson I used left and the last two purchases, both within the last year, were horrible.The dealership only had one key to each vehicle. They promised they would order additional keys but never followed up. After repeated calls, they now say I will have to purchase an extra fob for nearly $400 each.The collection of dealers have condensed their finance department and don t seem to know much about finance. They don t follow up on calls, have a very limited selection and pay no attention to personal requests. And after you purchase a vehicle, they re done. The salespeople have absolutely no desire to commit to the things they said they d do.The service department is very good, if you are inclined to paying dealer prices for small repairs, but other than that, you get better service and knowledge if you use an online car shopping service.The one star is because I like minis

Great customer service! Valerie is outstanding! I love my MINI! The difference between buying from and other car dealerships is unbelievable! Valerie was not pushy and never hounded me with phone calls. This was the best car buying experience I have ever had!

I just got my thermostat replaced on 2010 mini cooper and they did great job. But when I opened my hood to check the engine bay, they have broke the battery cover, one of the connection for the camshaft was not put all the way in and the level of coolant was below the minimum line, hope they have finished the job nicely. Also, I wish the battery cover can be fixed which was broken by the service guy

I live in Memphis but ended up buying a Mini from Birmingham because they had the exact model I wanted. It was a very pleasant experience although I never met any of their agents. They have the most informative website among all the dealerships in my area (Memphis, Nashville, Little Rock and St. Louis) with very detailed features and pictures (>20/car on average) of every vehicle in their inventory. The online live chat was also very responsive every time I had a question. The agent I worked with (Valerie) was very kind and patient, always giving me options but never pressing me on making a purchase. At the end they hired two retired gentlemen to drive the car to me and absorbed half of the cost. They got themselves a very happy customer here :)

Fantastic Customer Service!! There isn't a MINI dealer in our area and we are situated between Birmingham and Nashville. We chose Birmingham and will be back to this dealership for all of our routine service on our MINI. The service manager, Dion, is great to work with. They got our car in and out and really took care of us. They have a great waiting area and also a cafe inside the dealership in case you get a little hungry while you're waiting. We've owned many cars from BMW to Mercedes and this MINI dealership atmosphere and customer service was better than any we've had!

I waited 5 hours for them to replace my tires and get an oil change. The person who helped me seemed like they were having a bad day and weren't the friendliest until when it was time for me to leave. He said "Sure, I'll take all the customers today" with a bad tone before checking me in for my appointment.

I love my Mini and I love Mini of Birmingham. I just leased my second mini. Valerie, our sales associate, went out of her way to find me the car I wanted. After she did a lot of research we found the perfect car on the lot in the color I wanted with the features I wanted and ones I didn't know I wanted until I test drove one vehicle. Example: I didn't think I wanted the turbo until I drove it. Love the extra power. During the three years I leased my first mini all of the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The car was serviced quickly and thoroughly. Took just long enough for me to buy something in the gift shop or have something to eat in the caf�. Wonderful experience, wonderful staff.

This was one of the best customer service experience I have ever had. Valerie Wallace helped me decide on which Mini to get. I looked at a few different cars and made us spend half the day out in the summer heat and she was so kind and helpful through all of it. She was awesome, super sweet, and just cool. I decided to lease and Cy in financial was just as kind and helpful as she was. Everyone was very concerned about me getting what I want and making sure I knew everything about not only the car I was getting, but the financial terms as well. Awesome, awesome place! Go get your next car here, it will be easy, hassle free, and enjoyable.

I ve always had excellent service from Dion and yesterday was no different, he s engaging, friendly and attentive. Almost makes servicing my Mini enjoyable (almost...lol, no one enjoys spending $$ on car service). I had the added benefit of a shuttle to and from work and had some of the best conversations! Mini of Birmingham is doing something right!

Valerie was awesome from first contact to delivery. Buying a vehicle out of state can be tricky, but Valerie made the process seamless. When we arrived after a 6 hour drive with our two dogs, she invited us to bring our fur babies inside. She even spent quite a bit of time teaching us the electronics after we took delivery. Would definitely recommend Mini of Birmingham.

My daughter and I were traveling from South Carolina to Arkansas when we ruined a rim and tire on the interstate about 45 minutes from Birmingham. The local places weren't able to get us a tire or a rim. Service team of Dion and Chris went above and beyond the call of duty. Dion worked with me on the phone from 0800AM to 6pm. They sent a rim repair guy to check out our rim...when we determined it couldn't be repaired, they problem solved and found me a rim and tire that not only fit my car, but matched the other rims perfectly. They helped us get back on the road that night. Can't say enough good things about Chris, Dion and the Mini of Birmingham crew.

Love the employees in the service area! After completing the work needed for my 2011 mini, it runs better than ever 43.4 miles per gallon. Gosh, I love my car and this dealership.

Great car! Great people! I'm a single dad of an amazing , and very active, teenage daughter! Our schedule is crazy at times! They were more than willing to work around our busy schedule. I would definitely do business with them again! And my daughter loves her mini !!

10/24/16 - Update:Well, MINI did it again, our second MINI. This is the first time my wife has ever wanted the same brand car again. We ended up with a very nice Cooper 4 door hardtop. Fun car and the new dash setup and electronics is not only useful but fun as well.The dealership was again great to work with. We tried out multiple cars and at the last second changed our minds again and ended up with the 4 door hardtop. Stephen Jolly our Sales Rep and John Scanlon, the GM, were great to work with. No pressure, friendly service, went above and beyond what was needed to make us happy. In fact, we left something in the car and on late Saturday Stephen drove the opposite direction of his home to drop off the item even when I said I could stop by to pick it up. That is service.I love going to the MINI of Birmingham dealership. All of the staff is friendly, very nice seating area, a fun cafe and overall pleasant experience.Just had my first service on our 2014 Countryman (no charge maintenance) and everyone was helpful, nice and explained everything in great detail. A great experience.The only dangerous area is the waiting area - too many things to look at and potentially buy! :-)2 years in and I still love our car and the dealership:I bought my first MINI 2 years ago this month. As a car guy, I could never understand the hype of the MINI brand. The cars are great but I thought they were overpriced and the whole 'I love MINI's' thing annoying. I was wrong on both accounts. The cars are as affordable as any boring car in the same category. Quality of drive and build is great. Interior finishes are top notch and the car has just enough quirkiness (hello center speedometer, which is sadly gone now) to be fun without being annoying. The purchasing experience was great and the free service has been even better.I thought free maintenance was oil changes only. Nope, on the 15,000 mile service oil was changed, brake fluid flushed, new wipers and a complete check up. That is great. On top of that the service staff has always been great. Friendly, explain what they are going to do and how they are going to do the work and how long it will take. They never seem rushed so you feel comfortable asking them questions.Finally, the Motoring Cafe right on the premise. While I waited I had a delicious breakfast wrap for $1.99. Just made morning better. My work was completed 30 minutes faster than estimated and my car got a nice bath and vacuum.We will be back for another MINI.

First of all, I'd like to say that I had the most pleasant car purchasing experience EVER at Mini Birmingham. My saleswoman was Valerie & she was very knowledgeable, patient and determined to help me find the perfect car to match my personality & price point. She only showed me cars that I was interested in, and made sure that my transition out of my "old new car" (that I disliked & was unhappy with) into my new Mini Cooper S Hardtop 4 door (that I'm completely OBSESSED with) was as smooth & quick as possible. I will be sure to refer your services to friends, family & coworkers. Thank you so much for everything! You really left a lasting impression.

My experience was wonderful. I had been dreading purchasing a vehicle because I didn't want the hassle of the deal. I only intended to look at some of the inventory, but the staff were so friendly and accommodating, that I ended up purchasing that night. I received a fair price for my trade and a fair price for my purchase. I am very pleased with the service I received and would recommend this dealership to everyone.

Although I purchased my car out of state, this is the only MINI dealership in my area. After noticing an issue with my radio, I went to the service department at this dealership to try and figure out what was wrong with it. Dion greeted me upon arrival. He was very professional and knowledgeable. I explained to him what was going on with my radio and he immediately knew how to fix it. I scheduled an appointment for service and was able to get my car back the next day. Not only was my car clean, but they delivered it to me. I really appreciated that because I live a litte over 20 miles away from the dealership and sometimes traffic can be horrendous during the evening commute. I'm very particular about my car and knowing that Dion is there to take care of it puts my mind at ease. Thanks Dion!

While I ultimately did not purchase my vehicle here, I was treated fairly and Valerie did an amazing job. Everyone I spoke with was kind and friendly. I had to go elsewhere only because of my price point, but I would definitely purchase a vehicle from Valerie! She was great. Thanks for everything.

Well, after keeping my car for 2 full weeks promising to "make it look brand new", we found that they left a ding and scratches on the driver's side doors. That was one thing we specifically asked to be fixed and they guaranteed numerous times that it would be, but it was not touched. There was also some kind of whitish residue on the dash, like some kind of cleaner. We asked that it be detailed. They cleaned the passenger side, but not the driver's side. We distinctly get the feeling that as used car buyers, we were not worth their time or effort. We were never told it would take 2 weeks for them to only somewhat fix/clean the car. No one bothered to keep us updated during this time period. Everytime we called to check on it, they couldn't even give an estimate on how much longer it was going to take. This is not what I would expect AT ALL from a luxury car dealership. I would not recommend this dealer to anyone.

This is the second time I've bought a Mini at Mini of Birmingham and both times Valerie has been my salesperson. The second time by request because she made it such a great experience the first time! She answers all my many questions, explains every aspect of the car buying experience and always makes it a delightful experience!
