What a great experience at the BMW dealership in Birmingham. Shopping for a vehicle is difficult at best, however, Kareem(salesman) and Marion (business manager) made the process extremely pleasant. Also, Hannah helped with the tutorial. Best experience buying a vehicle ever!

I had the best experience working with CJ. He helped find me the perfect vehicle. Marion the financial Director was extremely meticulous making sure we got all the discounts we possible could and giving us the best deal on our new vehicle. We will definitely be back to purchase with these guys in the future!

I traded in my 2022 BMW X3 that I bought from BMW of Birmingham last year for a 2024 BMW X5. My salesperson was Valerie Wallace and she was more than amazing. I was very pleased with my purchase and service that I received on the sales side. The post sales experience that I have experienced has been horrible, thus the reason for this review. I cancelled the remaining portion of the tire & wheel package that I purchased from the dealership and was told by the finance department (Jarmaine White) that I would receive my refund within 4-6 weeks. After 2 month of not receiving my refund nor hearing anything I tried to contact the dealership NUMEROUS times via telephone with no answer or response to voicemail. I called Jarmaine White (finance person who I completed paperwork with) and I even called the general manager (Kaleb Redmond). I was able to speak with Kaleb once and he stated that he would have the finance department check the status of this and call me back. I never heard back from them.After so many unsuccessful attempts with my local dealership I then contacted BMW USA for assistance. My assigned case manager gave me all the information to contact the third party company who handles the tire & wheel warranties. The agent that I spoke with at Safe Guard informed me that they never received any cancellation paperwork from BMW of Birmingham and asked if I had copies to send to them. I submitted a copy of my documents to get the cancellation processed and received an email from Safe Guard 11/6/23 stating that they have processed my cancellation and submitted a refund of over $2,000.00 to Sonic Automotive (BMW Birmingham) to be returned to me.On 12/6/23 when I have not received my refund I made several attempts to contact Jarmaine White (finance department) and Kaleb Redmond (general manager) to check the status of my refund. Of course they did not answer their phone nor return my phone calls. I called and was able to speak with the service manager (Shay) and he stated that he was going to walk to Jarmaine s office and have him call me by COB. After this I FINALLY received a call from Jarmaine (after 2 months of calls/voicemails) and he acted like he thought this was taken care of and put the blame on the workers in the back room . He asked me to send him a copy of the cancellation documents via email and stated that he would expedite the process and return by call by COB that day. It is now 12/11/23 and I have yet to hear back from Jarmaine. I have contacted BMW USA and am currently waiting for my case manager to investigate what the hold up is.I will say my car buying experience was great; however, the post sales experience that I have experienced has been a nightmare. The post sales experience is just as important or even more important because it is a determining factor for return purchases. This has been my second BMW purchase from BMW of Birmingham and my last. If customer service is important for you I would NOT recommend this dealership. I will make my future purchases at another BMW dealership!

My purchase experience was good. My sells rep, CJ, was good. He was nice an helpful. My only complaint was the process took a really long time (about 6hrs), but everyone there was helpful and they were always checking if I needed anything. I would rate it as good. Not great, but good.I've seen a lot of bad reviews for the service department. I've only been in for a break-in service and that was fine. They were courteous and the process took as long as I expected it to. Nothing eventful there.

I had an Awesome experience purchasing my new auto from BMW Birmingham. My sales person Trey was Amazing!!! He was very patient and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend BMW, the entire staff was great . You will not be disappointed.

Overall a pleasant experience! The car we were there to purchase had a broken fog light and they offered to fix it on the spot, which they did. Everyone we worked with was very pleasant and made us feel comfortable. We recommend them if you are in the market for a new or used BMW!

I worked with Zack back earlier in the year where we Built a new 430i for me. Zack was knowledgeable and quickly Gaines my trust to help build just the right BMW for me. I picked up my new BMW earlier in March and have not been disappointed. Again, Zack helped get me acclimated to the new BMW which was quite a bit more upgraded digitally than my 2011 335i! The experience was worth it and o look to enjoy my new ride for many years to come! Thanks, Zack!

My experience was awesome! Zac listened to my wants as a purchaser and provided me with options the next day due to me having a busy life. Their loan rate beat both my credit unions which made my purchase a breeze. This allowed me to quickly return to my busy life.

Another great experience with Birmingham BMW! They were very knowledgeable, professional and direct about what they could and couldn t do. Mike made the whole experience very easy (again) and did a lot of work in advance to limit my time in the dealership when I arrived from out of town to pick up my car. I would recommend Mike and his team to anyone considering the lease or purchase of a BMW.

I LOVE beautiful, luxury, comfortable, automobiles. The i5 is more than Amazing it is an OOOOHHH MY!!! ( statement). I put in an order for an i5, black interior on black exterior with the extended leg lift on front seats, for extended driving trips. Kaleb over delivered! I liked the i4 but needed bigger because my husband is tall.Financing was excellent. This is my second leased automobile. Marion got the numbers right where I wanted them.Kaleb ordered my car with extras I did not know existed- awesome!Kareem and Hannah, patiently set me up with the technology features and the wonder My BMW app. Trey is a pre and post guidance man, very knowledgeable about BMW s but especially about the new ix5.This is my first electric car, quiet, smooth, comfortable, beautiful, illuminating, many safety features, a lane display panel, distance feature display( you see what is actually on both sides of your car, no blind spots), on board display ( illuminating your speed, speed for the area and navigation into the front windshield. - Oh My). Trey showed me how to charge my car, and picked it up from being detailed.I had a post experience of a minor message displayed on my car, I explained it to Marion Cain, he asked Trey to assist. Trey immediately investigated it and drove it to the service department, service fix it immediately. The i5 is very FAST. This electric car charges fast.BMW Birmingham is the ONLY place you should buy cars from. The experience was incredible.

Loved working with Birmingham BMW and salesperson Trey Barnes. I live in Atlanta but the best car and price was 2+ hours away in Birmingham. Trey was attentive and worked with me by phone and text to get the deal going. Purchasing the vehicle was simple and stress free. We had one small hiccup on purchase day, which they handled perfectly. The dealership and people were great, to the point that I really wish I lived closer so I could service the car there too,

My online car experience started off with Mike, and then was finished off with the GM, Kaleb. I bought the car from MA completely online so the transaction was a little difficult from the get-go. Kaleb has called me multiple times to make sure I am taken care of and to make sure everything gets wrapped up properly. I really appreciate his diligence and keeping me updated. I am very impressed that the GM would take such a role and help me when I need it.

This one of the best car buying experiences I have had . Not only did they take good care of me and was very attentive to my needs for a new vehicle . The service was phenomenal and accommodations were excellent . I will be returning when it is time to purchase again. When you go be sure to ask for Zac and Marion they are the best people for the business .

Our salesman, Oleg with the help of Gus started the process. But Marion in finance sealed the deal. He made our car buying experience easy. He was available after the sale to answer further questions. And then Hannah in genius department continued to make my experience great by spending time with me to explain the amazing technology.

I went to BMW of Birmingham because I was invited by the Kelly blue book sales department, who set up an appointment to sell my car. I didn't reach out to them they contacted me! I explained what condition my car was in, leaving nothing out, and still was told they wanted me to bring it so they could buy my car. When we arrived, Tony, who was super rude and made me feel like he had made his mind up already without asking any questions! Like he was better than me and my husband! The car had cosmetic issues. I had already explained that and put it in the notes! He said he couldn't buy this car for $200. That's how much it would cost to tow it(we drive this car to work everyday there was no need to tow it! We drove it to BMW dealership!) to the auction, and they won't give me anything for it anyway. So, at that point we had been insulted enough. We wasted our time and our day! Our day had been stressful enough already, and we were tired of being treated like we were low lives for selling our car that wasn't "top tier." We are a mixed couple, so we are used to it. We just didn't expect that from a renowned dealership. We ended up selling it to Pull-A-Part for $450! Soooo that should show u right there it wasn't our car it was the person we were trying to conduct business!

My experience started off horrible due to one salesman providing misleading and incorrect information. The manager, Ted, attempted to smooth things over but I felt he was on the salesman side. I requested for a new salesman and Valerie Wallace was the best. She is the only reason I am leaving 5 stars. She made my experience exceed the expectations I had for this location. She was honest, transparent, & kind. If you are ever in the auto industry looking for a vehicle, please stop by to see Ms. Valerie and connect with Jermaine in finance department. He was also nice and transparent.

I just purchased the BMW X2 from BMW of B'ham. My salesperson Larry Carpenter was absolutely superb. He was attentive, he listened to what I wanted, and he worked with me closely every step of the way. When I came to pick up my car I was there less than an hour. I love my car. The finance manager Jarmaine was superb. My payments are reasonable, I am very satisfied.

I needed a service for my car, the online process was pretty smooth and I was able to get an appointment really quick. I took my car on Tuesday and my car was done by the next day!I want to say Thank you to Mr Preston Morse! He make sure I had a good experience during this stressful process he made sure I was able to get everything straight up with my warranty, He was very communicating answers all my questions very quick and professional.You can tell that he loves what he do.I will share his business card here!! I worked very closely with the Service Advisor Manager, Shea Leuder. He went above and beyond to meet my needs and listen to my many concerns. I was very impressed with his professionalism, constant communication and problem-solving skills. He worked late hours on a Friday night, met me on Saturday morning and worked late making sure my car was ready earlier than planned. He throughly communicated the options to repair my car and answered all of my questions. I called him multiple times and he answered every time, talking through the situation with me. He was patient and promptly resolved the issue. I couldn t be more pleased with the outcome and my experience working with him. BMW of Birmingham is lucky to have a manager like Shea!

My wife and I recently purchased a 2024 BMW X7 from BMW of Birmingham. We are totally pleased with the entire experience. Our purchase started with our Salesman, Zac Grissett. Then we moved to Marion Cain, the Business Manager. Finally, we met Hannah who was the BMW Genius that showed us how everything worked. Each of these three individuals were amazing to work with and represented BMW, the dealership and themselves in the best way possible. We love our X7 and we will definitely come back to BMW of Birmingham when it is time to buy another BMW. THANK YOU to Zac, Marion and Hannah for a great experience.

The dealership is awesome. Larry Carpenter is the best auto sales person I have worked with. He was helpful and well informed. Marion did a great job with the closing options/education and Hannah did a great job of setting up the electronics

WARNING. Shady practices. Very nice people but after today I will not be going back. I told the lady multiple times come check with me if the air filter needs changing and I ll let you know if I ll do it or not . Then I get the bill after waiting 2 hours for an oil change. The lady says we did oil and air filter changed. And I say wait I thought you were going to check in with me about the air filter? Yea but you signed off on it. I m sorry but what part of come check with me do you not understand. Very shady and did not appreciate that. I have no idea if my filter needed replacing. Not to mention they wanted $80 to reset the oil light. It s 5 button clicks are you serious? I do not trust BMW of Birmingham with my car. Especially in the past. I ve had things broken and things not put back correctly. Then told it was my fault. Not to mention people stalking my car multiple times. Really disappointed.

When we got there, Gus came right up to us and got started helping us. We already knew what we wanted and so no time was wasted. We were able to negotiate a deal that we could live with, and the whole process was about as quick and simple as can be expected.

A car buying experience is well a car buying experience. I am not sure anyone loves the process. Nevertheless, if you must suffer through it, I can't think of a better person to guide you along the way than Gus Haas from BMW of Birmingham. Gus is very knowledgeable and spends the time to showcase the vehicle and explain its features. As far as BMW, it is the finest, and BMW of Birmingham represents the brand well. I hope the after-the-sale service delivers too.
