My daughter is at school in Huntsville her car went down. I contacted Chris and he did not hesitate to get her back going. His service is top notch and he comes to you. He stayed in contact with us and did an awesome job.

As a small business owner, I'm loathe to leave a bad review because running a business is difficult enough without trying to overcome a unjustified complaint.I chose McMahan's because of the numerous positive reviews I saw online. I think now that I was misled.I had three issues with my truck; fuel pump, flashing brake lights and nonworking A/C. I wanted the mobile service, but the A/C problem required a shop visit.They called me back in 2 days with written details of work performed at just about $800-including the veteran discount.Shortly after leaving the shop, the A/C began to fail. The next day the brake light was on again. I voiced my disappointment and was told that I should make an appointment to have them correct it. I admit to being taken aback at the requisite appointment making, but I had already paid for three items with only one completed.On the next appointment, I was called to say that while they were testing my A/C, my radiator began to leak. Please note that there had been no issues prior-none, not overheating or leaks of any kind. I was sent a very bad photo of a radiator and a quote of $412 to replace it. I agree assuming that was the extent of the issues. 3 hours later they called to say that I had a compressor issue and the fix was $1,300. Had they told me that originally, I would have cut my losses and gone somewhere else, but it appears that there was a need to justify the effort with some work of some kind.I refused the A/C repair and when I arrived to pickup the truck, they made an overt attempt to make sure that they showed me a defective radiator that I had no interest in seeing. I instead wanted to the radiator installation. Even though they remarked that they chose clamps were original, they didn't replace them or the hoses.2 days later, the brake light is back on again. I haven't felt this screwed in a very long time. I paid for their time and failed efforts, but my time is lost forever. But you don't have to feel like me. I have had my share of experiences with car repair and maintenance. I will ALWAYS take my vehicles to McMahan's Mobile Mechanic shop. By far the best experiences. No hidden costs, no surprises, no BS, just good work all around. Every time I need something checked, oil change, etc. I am able to set up a pretty good appointment time, instead of waiting weeks to get into a place. Everything is always fully explained and gone over, the price point is good, never over charged. If you are tired of being screwed over by other places of business for one reason or another, I HIGHLY recommend this shop. GREAT BUSINESS

I ve been a loyal customer here for many years. Michael is an excellent Mechanic and all around stand-up guy. He diagnoses the issue, sends you a quote, and makes the repair. He has always been honest and at times recommended against doing work if there was no benefit to me or my vehicle. What the dealership and another mechanic couldn't locate and repair - Sunshine did! After months of nothing but trouble - I found the McMahan's Mechanic shop.... He diagnosed the issues and repaired it quickly. I'm so thankful I can know that my college kid is safe on the road. Michael s shop was a great choice for me to get some bodywork done on my car. His quote was reasonable, I didn t have to use insurance, and the work is impeccable. Quick diagnosis of engine problem. Explained what was happening and options to address. Exhaust system component failed putting engine in safe mode. Repair completed and vehicle running great, same performance as before problem arose. Recommended solution was very cost effective vs OEM repair bulletin. Highly recommend for auto service needs. We appreciate all the work Micheal has done on our cars. He gets us in quickly diagnoses the problem, then always calls to discuss the problem. He always does amazing work no matter how difficult the situation has been. They are a top notch shop. I also trust Micheal. We have been other places in town and taken advantage of. He is so fair and reasonable. I will always take our cars only to him. I also refer him to all family and friends! My 2008 truck air conditioning stopped cooling. I got an appointment and left the truck for diagnostics at McMahan's. They found the problem, contacted me, and made the repair the same day. We had a problem with a battery cable on our car. We took it to AutoZone where they replaced the head of the cable (it broke down again) . We called a mobile mechanic who cleaned out the other cable telling us the original AutoZone fix was fine (it broke down again). We called these guys who said they would need to see it in the shop. One more tow later, they replaced the original cable in less than an hour, and even drove the car back to us since we lived close. Very professional. Very fast. We will definitely use them again.

I had a completely dead battery in my older model Porsche 911(at home) and was facing going to the trouble of jumping it off and driving it somewhere to get a battery replacement. Discovered, on line, that they did mobile service, give them a call and they were here within 2 hours! Replaced the battery in about 15 minutes. Service was superb and was about the same price as when I had the battery replaced a few years back, all without leaving the comfort of home. Highly recommend their services!Service: Battery

Michael McMahon is wonderful!My serpentine belt became frayed and got stuck in my fan. While my car was making an awful noise, my baby got sick and started vomiting. I was about to breakdown in tears. We called Michael and he was able to quickly get the part and come repair my SUV so I wouldn't be stranded. I am SO THANKFUL for finding such a kind, honest, hard worker! We won't ever take our vehicles to anyone else. I highly recommend Michael and understand why his friends call him Sunshine!

Mike diagnosed the extremity of a problem and presented me with options instead of doing a bandaid repair and charging me more money. He is personable and professional, and really wants his customers to be in safe, reliable vehicles. I appreciate him taking the time to educate me on the extent of the problem and then explain it to my husband as well. He and his manager Cloudy are good people and do good business. 10/10 would recommend!Service: Electrical

Best mechanic I've ever been to, hands down. Very trustworthy, and takes the time to show you what needs repair, how it works, and how much it will cost. Both times I've been here, I've saved hundreds of dollars compared to what other mechanics said the repairs would cost. Very grateful!

Came into town in our RV to visit the US Space & Rocket Center. On the way we had a service engine light come on. Found McMahan s Mobile Mechanic via Google Maps. Mike showed up within minutes. He was incredibly professional and explained the issue clearly and put our worries to rest. I HIGHLY recommend this great business!!

I called to discuss the issues my car was having. Took my car into the shop and was given a quote right away! Not only did they have it WAY BEFORE expected, the price was not as bad as I thought. So I was at work one day and I get a frantic call from my wife saying the cat escaped and she couldn t find it. She searched everywhere, the cat ended up being inside the van engine and she couldn t get him out. Lol. You can t make this up. We just used this mechanic to do repairs on the van She said she didn t know what to do so she did the only thing she could think to do called McMahan s and they came out on their lunch break to get him out of the car. On Their Lunch Break! Spent the whole time working on getting the cat out. Free of charge! They said this cat was stuck, stuck. Any ways I was my fault the cat got out the night before so I was thankful they were able to come out and help my wife. They did all this free of charge. I was just blown away. Thank you so much for your services. We will use them from this point on.

Nice clean organized shop! Went above and beyond. Put new sunroof in and coolant reservoir in. Hope that was right. LolWork was done quickly and reasonably priced!Highly recommend.

You won t find a more thorough and honest mechanic in town. No shortcuts, no cheap substitutes. Just a job you can trust to be done right every time. I have brought cars from Florida just to be worked on by michael.

Came in for a rear wheel hub assembly. Exceptionally knowledgable, friendly, and professional. They do great work for a fair price and don't try to price gouge you or tack on unnecessary work like some of the big name places. 10/10 would come here again with future issues.

I took my Jeep in for warning lights on the instruments. Michael went to my house with me to drop me off while he repaired the car. The anti-skid and ABS lights were on and Michael was pretty sure he knew the problem and the diagnostic proved him right. He completed the fix before Noon and dropped the Jeep off at my house!Michael is dedicated to his job and loves what he does, as well as being very proud of his reputation for excellence, so he does his very best on every job he takes. He is a consummate pro (and a little OCD) so his shop is always super-clean) and you can see his attention to detail in the way his tools are well-organized and kept in immaculate condition. He call's himself the Lunatic Mechanic, probably because he takes on jobs that other small shops wouldn't attempt.There are only a few places in Huntsville that I trust for automotive repairs, and McMahan's is one of the top two.
