Definitely recommend. They helped me determine that my AC did NOT have an electrical problem but rather a clog in the system with the pressure reading way to high. They also referred me to a mechanic who could fix the problem (and they did!). Honest, easy and fast service!

I was referred to Action Auto by a female mechanic. (My brake and blinker lights were not working after changing the bulbs.) She said her place of employment would charge an arm and a leg to diagnose and repair the problem but Action Auto would be reasonable and would give me the cost before doing the work. She was right and the customer service was great!! I dropped my car off and within an hour the mechanic had diagnosed the problem and gave me the price. I dropped my car off before 9 and had it back by 2, both light panel boards needed replacing.I will go back and recommend them to others.I had to edit this review this is Jan 2023 - my brake light (s) did go out again- twice and the mechanic/ owner not only remembered me but didn't charge me the final time for this issue. ( This time he did everything he did before changing out all parts involved). I have referred other family members to him and I have had my vehicle serviced for other issues. The customer service is open and honest. My ONLY regret is that I didn't know of this business when they first opened.

I talked to Chuck, who was referred by a mechanic I trust explicitly. It was an AC problem. After talking to him he told me he would look at it but to go look at the wire hookups again, being that I had been under the dash, before I do. It turned out that that was the problem. It is not common to have people help you like that anymore.Service: ElectricalService: Electrical

Great service and even better price. I was quote $200 less here than two other shops to fix my windshield wipers. And they got it done in a single day. Girlfriend's car had an issue as well - and they were honest and recommended another shop that could do it cheaper. That's how you should do business. Very honest people here and I highly recommend it.

A dealership had kept my car for 2 1/2 months and tore my car apart, finally fed up we had it towed here and they had it running and put back together in about a week. They were so nice and helpful. Life savers! Great experience. Thank you!

Talked to several people about fixing an ignition switch before I was going to get it towed to them amd they said they had to see it first but they should be able to get it done. I paid for the truck to get towed from Decatur to their shop just for the so called professional to tell me he has never put one of these in. So within 1 day they call me with a demanding voice asking me to get off the property. All this in 24 hours and $250 worth of towing just for the dealership to verbally tell all I need was a ignition module and a remote start key that can easily be programmed. Absolutely horrible and a pure waste of my time and money.

A little pricey, but they generally do good work. I had them fix a power window. Worked well for almost a year. Only a 90 day warranty on labor, so the part was replaced. Dale Gibson, owner, replaced the part, but I got someone else to replace the part for less, $120 labor, as opposed to $175 here.Also, I was told here that both motors for front needed to be replaced. Another mechanic tried the widow, and found that something caused the button to stick. He worked the button a little, and found that it worked fine. No charge.

The starter went out on my car and I was stranded. I called Action Auto and the awesome Mrs. Veleisha sent a tow truck to get my car. They had my car taken care of the next day. Very good work, very professional. Would highly recommend.

Went in today and they tested my battery and found that it was weak. They replaced it at a fair price and I was on the road Within minutes. I have been getting my batteries there 4 years for all my work vehicles because of the good service they give

If you want an HONEST mechanic, this is the place to go. A friend of mine has known him for many years and referred me to him. Dale, the owner, knew only what i had told him, which was told to me by another shop mechanic. I had potentially a $1000 issue. As it turned out, he was able to discern the problem as minor, and it cost me less than $100. I was so excited that I wanted to share this review to express my gratitude to Action Auto and to hopefully let others know where to take their vehicle for an honest opinion and professional work.

Great work and quick turn around. Dropped off an alternator needing to be rebuilt on a '74 vette and they took care of it less than 24 hours. Dale also offered recommendations to help prevent issues in the future on it. Good, honest people; a rarity in the automotive repair industry.

The first time I used them was a few years ago and they fixed the wiring in my Cadillac, however someone stole a tool out of my car to my rim locks. The owner agreed to pay half right away . I took my car to them for a wiring issue but the guy wasn't listening to my symptoms he was just throwing out random parts to fix. He called and said he couldn't fix it after a day and said he didn't know what to do besides throw parts at it but never had the wiring guy he has look at the car . I give him a A for honesty but I wasted $140 in towing just to take it to another shop. On the bright side he didn't charge me but I wouldn't pay him a dime anyway since the car wasn't fixed.

I've been taking alternators and starters here to be repaied for 15+ years. Both for work and personal. Prices are fair, usually done by next day, and never had a complaint regarding quality of work.

My PT Cruiser needed the heater core replaced... It's a very complicated repair which requires the entire dash and electrical wiring to be removed. My mechanic suggested Action Auto due to the technical detail involved. I was very pleased with the work, the quick return and the price! ;-)

Fantastic service! I needed to get a blower motor replaced. Their quote was $200 lower than another shop and the had the job completed in about three hours. I'll be going here for my electrical needs from now on.

Dale at Action has done repairs on my 2001 Navigator, serviced my Tacoma and installed custom items on my Roxor. Each done exceptionally and for a reasonable price. Highly recommend!

I went to action auto electric to get my car fix cause my car was driving ruff! Been me as a woman some mechanics have a tendency to take advantage of women when it come to a car well the man told me specifically that i need motor mounts two of them i did agree that it might need some motor mounts cause my car was not driving good! i did tell him to fix whatever wrong with the car! S o thats when i ask him how much will it be for them to put motor mounts on he said $359 including labor but he said the mounts was only $70 a piece thats when he charge me almost $200 dollars for labor and it should not cost that much to put mounts on my car! it dont take long to do so he had to keep my car overnight which they did not have to! On top of that when i paid for my car and start driving it the car started acting up the engine light came on! I ask myself why would mechanics want to rip me off am a single mother trying to make ends meet! Please dont have them fix your car its not even worth it!

Watch this guy his people will tell you to bring your car and so you have it towed up there and then he will tell you we need to "work on our communication" and that he cant hold your car here now. Then at the same time he will tell you I got you on the list and im gonna call you in two weeks. Well its been 6 months and I still haven't got that call. The Speaker Box in Huntsville Did me the Ace Job with a complete Wireing harrness. And i didnt have to worry about Crack heads outside breaking in my car.

Hello family the water pump on my 04 Lexas sprung a leak . I first wanted to repair it myself , but after taking a couple of covers off after watching a vedio on YouTube of the process I realized I wasn't physically able nor had the tools to accomplish this task leaving the car unable to drive i called around and recieved several quotes from repair services around the Huntsville area . After calling and talking with Dale over at Action , his price was the most reasonable so on Tuesday morningI called Mike's Wreaker Service whom I always use as my towing services a great group of quick and there when they say they will be kind of company with great people to carry you and your car to the place of your choice ,back to Action I left the parts that I had taken apart in the trunk and we dropped it off on Tuesday not Thinking about it I hoped it would be ready on Wednesday I asked Dale to check a possible valve cover leak check PVC Valve and plugs , plugs would add another $500 to my quoted price but after checking it out Dale said V Covers were okay and PVC was made into the cover he said that it would probably be Friday before I got it back but Thursday evening they called and said it was ready I picked it up just before 4pm closing time and have driven it since then to check it out it's good so far and I got to get back by there and thank Dale and the team for a job well done I think this company is worth a look when you need a service done to your vehicleI hardly ever give 5's because there is always room for improvement but I recommend a call to Dale and the team the receptionist is a sweetheart also check them outAfter getting my car back I looked in the trunk a few days later and saw one of the screws from one of my covers and on this past Sunday the 20th of June my car began to run differently and sucked up a lot of gas after thinking about it I realized it must be a vacuum issue and upon closer looking under the hood I found a vacuum hose that was loose it had been pulled off or knocked off as it was not in the area that they should have been working so upon these two incidence I must wonder was this a good choice I stopped by today the 22nd to talk to the guy in charge Dale and he come talking to me about the car was brought to him taken apart which it was I took the two covers off to see if I could fix it myself but all parts were there this crew should have been seen but they just put it together and left it and as I told him that vacuum hose shouldn't have been off it was just pulled a loose it was kinda hidden under one of the manifolds so it had to be pulled off and like I said they shouldn't have been in that area anyway and he brought up the word sabotage and I said yes it had to be sabotage because there was no way that your technicians should have been in that area so I'm going to have to ask you guys to reconsider my first opinion of this company pray about it which I didn't I went on the cheaper priceI don't know for sure but as I said there was no way they should have been in that area where the hose looked like it was just pulled off
