Upon first glance the rooms look nice, but upon closer inspection they're not good at all. During our stay we saw 2 live cockroaches in the room. The comforters and the sheets on the bed were stained. There was a spot on the wall in the bathroom that looked like a poop smear.If you have the option to stay somewhere else, do so. This place was gross.

While staying here we dealt with loudness til late at night from ppl outside of their rooms drinking & talking. A couple of nights there was a man outside his room passed out from drugs for a good 3 hrs and the room next door had 3 ppl that were very drunk that was outside their room, 1 of the females was in a half shirt and underwear running around all over the place, seemed like she was on speed plus drunk, cop knocking on doors. We called the office, they did not care, waiting 2 hrs and they never settled down so we went and spoke to them bc they would not answer my phone the 2nd time, the owner lady shrugged her shoulders- didn't care! So we called the police. The night Sargent showed up and told us NOTHING good comes from this motel and the owners are terrible that they don't care. He said go to Decator for a room.I went and asked for towels 1 morning and they said no! We had 2 beds but only 3 pillows.The owners and housekeeper are extremely rude!I would give a negative star if it was offered. Worst motel we've ever stayed at!

I've practically lived at this motel over the past month and for the price you can't beat it.. The family that runs it have all been very courteous, and kind,the rooms are relatively clean and very comfortable, it's location is convenient to any shopping you want or need to do including specialty shops such as antiques and thrift stores, a variety of fast food and casual dining restaurants, as well as the local civic center with a swimming pool and splash pad,or the park with playgrounds, and walking trails. Any time that I need a motel room in Hartselle this is the first place I would go.

Basic clean, family run motel at a good price. There is not much in Hartselle, but this place is definitely better than trying to find something in Decatur if you need a place to stay. The rooms were clean, fairly spacious, the bathroom was newly renovated with those laminate panel upgrades you see advertised on TV and the floors had recently been upgraded with LVP. Although it is just off the highway, I did not hear any road noise. The place was full when I was there, so clearly the local business travelers know about it. On the downside, this is a family run business and it is not uncommon for no one to be in the office. They say they have some breakfast items but don't count on it. Daylight Donuts just down the road is a better option. Will definitely stay here again.

DayOne, Arrival.You have seen those pictures? Well i mean the newer-looking-ones. Yep. They are real.The first look of the hotel is amazing.Clean, Cozy, Lovely all over. But, what can I say, after the arrival.Towels: clean and enough for at least 2 Persons.Beds: exactly the way i like itAC: should run a bit more often or else, it starts with a smell of not using... But disapperaed within 5-10minutes. And it is not loud at all...the one in my other hotel is a statting airplane in comparison to this. ;)Location: well, at a street, i bet it depends on the room, you are able to hear the cars, we will see.Edit: okay it took some more days to write, but honestly?This Hotel/Motel is worth a stay for at least a night or two. Even to discover this beautiful tiny city of Hartselle. You need to try the Backery or Moes!

This is absolutely the worst motel I ve ever stayed in. It says pet friendly they obviously are not. They had no where to walk your dogs. The couple of small areas that were available if you tried to walk your dogs there the snobby help would come out and tell you they couldn t be walked there. When I booked I wasn t told I was gonna be charged an extra $10 per animal per day. I had 2 small dogs with me. My husband always smokes outside even at home. The snobby worker stopped him 5 times in one day to tell him he wasn t allowed to smoke in the rooms. The beds are hard and there is luke warm water not hot. Please don t waste your money on rude service and especially if you re traveling with your furbabies. JS my dog left absolutely no mess and I cleaned the room myself before we left.

Gf and I were looking for a local room where we could have some time together away from everything without spending a bunch of money. I searched around and this was the best deal I could find, and for the price I feel it was q very decent place. The rooms were clean and nice and homey. I never felt unsafe or bothered by neighbors. Will do again!

This place was terrible! First, we were well overcharged and each night was a different price. (I have receipts to prove it.) They did not come get our dirty towels for 4 days. They constantly voided our keys and locked us out of the room we overpaid for. On top of this, the hot water went out in the room. Instead of giving us another room, they gave us a key to a room across the property, gave us roughly 30 minutes for 4 people to shower, made us run back in 12 degree weather with wet hair to our room, and return their key. This was the absolute worst experience for my family and me. Two kids could not even shower! Do not stay here!

I thought was a very nice place. Room was clean a cool when I arrived. Nice new 32 flat screen TV. And unlike most places, the mini fridge was already on and cold. Only dislike I can say was the fact it was at a red light and you could hear the little rice cars leave the red light. The girl behind the counter was very nice

I booked a room online, and when I arrived at the time of check-in, the front desk refused to give me the room that I had booked!.!.!.! He stated that I couldn't get the room until I have paid a deposit!.!.! Nowhere on the website that I booked it on stated anything about a deposit nor does the website strictly for the motel itself!.!.! I never got to stay and the front desk cancelled my reservations and I had to sleep in a vehicle that night!.!.!.! HORRIBLE PLACE & HORRIBLE PEOPLE THAT RUN IT!.!.!.! HEARTLESS & CARELESS!.!.!.!

This is the worst place I have ever stayed in!! On check in I noticed a big sign no refunds and I see why. Public hair in tub, mold in the towels. Broken beds and the rudest staff I've ever met. I bought my own towels and wash clothes and even bought sheets for our bed! The owner treated me so badly I cried. The breakfast was stale and never on time. Run from this place as fast as you can!!!!

Room was clean and nice. Had the appearance of a Mom and Pop hotel whereby no small details were over-looked. Easily available off I65, McDonalds very close by for breakfast! Friendly service (Mother-daughter) team checked us in. Did not try the free breakfast items offered so no comment on that. Price was excellent, had a great nights rest! I would give this a 4+ star rating in my humble opinion.

This is a very nice motel for the money. The room was clean, no bugs or odors, the bed was good, and the Internet worked well. Nice location and a quiet area. I will stay here again if I have a need. The price was reasonable and the service great.

Horrible staff my wallet my phone got stolen my charger got stolen maids would not change bedsheets owner was smoking pot with other residents tried to say my room was nasty when it wasn't refused to let me get my stuff at first until I raised my voice. Had another guy from church coming to pay for a week check out time was 11 am and he sold our room out from under us do not room here they will comr in your room even if your do not disturb sign is on the door and mess with your ac unit. And i killed a roach in my room

Stayed here a few times over the last few years. Not impressed anymore with the rooms now. Not real clean dirt on the floor stuff left in the fridge from other folks. And it's changed hands now so they raised there Price. I wont be back again

We checked in and was only in the room for 5 min before the musty smell made my son sick to his stomach and gave me a horrid headache. When I went back to talk to them about it, the door was locked and they were gone. So I called. Turns out they left to go get food w no one in the office. Refused to refund my money even after looking at the room and seeing it was used or touched. Will not ever stay there agaib.

Upon checking into my room as I do it every Hotel I start inspecting the bed. The first bed had what I would assume or stains on the sheets that were a little alarming but that wasn't the biggest problem it was the black hair I found a one of the pillows and then another long black here I found it on the bed sheet. Where those sheets changed or not? So I looked at the other bed first thing I noticed on one of the pillows what looks to be a woman's makeup all over the pillow case very uncool! The rest of the room appeared to be clean I just use my own pillow out of my truck and got my 5 hours of somewhat of sleep. Needless to say next time I'm coming back to this area no way I wouldn't have stayed if I hadn't been after midnight and I was so damn tired

A little picky/greedy with breakfast. Clean quiet atmosphere just don't miss the time frame for the breakfast of champs (cereal and coffee..?) and heaven forbid you take more than one small styrofoam cup of coffee . Not a 5star quality of treatment

Such a cute place! One of the better places that I have stayed on my many journeys. The room was nice and very clean. The staff was super sweet. It was very quiet. The price was great as well. Looking foward to stopping again!

We have stayed at Express Inn on three different occasions and have found the rooms to be clean and comfortable. The breakfast provided is very light with corn flakes and Fruit Loops, coffee, juice, some sweet type rolls and some fresh fruit.It has provided us with a convenient location.

I would not let my dog rent there. They threw my kid's out because they have a 1, 2 and 4 year old and they outside playing a screaming in the day time. Ask they cam they make their kids go in. So when I went to pay the room he refused to take the money talking about he had the room already rented from 15 days ago. I said so your kicking them out he said " you can't use that language in here" what language he said kicking them out what is that. So that's a bad word now. KI KICKING THEM OUT. Wow...
