Exceptional customer service I believe times like this people like Dalton should be recognized for having great customer service and how he made a stressful situation for me turn into a blessing in disguise. Not only did he go out in the rain to assist me with my vehicle, he took the time to explain what everything meant and what it s going to take to fix the problem. I just wanted to thank him again for all of his help and to keep up the great work Dalton! Job well done. #HartsellAutozone

A friend purchased some brake pads online through the local AutoZone. Located on the Beltline in Decatur. My friend knows almost zero about the mechanical side of vehicles so I had agreed to go with him to pick up the pads and double check to make sure they were the correct fitment. I am not at all blaming the young man (who was obviously on his first or second day of employment with AutoZone) that was attempting to get the pads for us and close out the transaction. Knowing that my friends car (Cadillac STS AWD WITH TRUE 4 WHEEL ANIT-LOCKS) has a pretty unique braking package I ask the young man if we could double check that parts. He agreed so I gave him the needed information. He was completely lost but was trying hard. He did that thing where he looked at the screen and mumbled a couple of things and then said "yea those are the ones" . Walking to the car I told my friend that I would wager my next paycheck that they were not gonna fit. Fast forward a few hours...at 10pm and 31 degrees out- I am putting the old pads back on and putting wheels back on and so forth.....of course they didn't fit.My point is this....Pretty much 95% of the businesses that we once had at least a little faith in , now are not willing to spend the money to hire qualified help. I understand young people need jobs and rightfully so but the companies fail them by not providing adequate training..... because of course training cost $$$$ ....if this happened in 1970 I would have probably got the correct parts the first time but if not the business would have somehow compensated me for me having to do double mechanical work and making another trip back to the store.So to AutoZone I give 1 star.

I had to stop and get windshield whippers and Jarrod helped me out. He was quick with it, professional and just an all around helpful and nice guy!It s hard to find kind people and good workers these days and I would say AutoZone definitely scored a good one with him!

They didn't have enough tools for us to rebuild an engine but they did have the two parts we needed. Felt like the people in the parking lot stared at us too much. It was funny though. They probably thought my gf was a babe and their gfs def weren't in the babe category. Lthey could train their employees more.

Trade out on brake pads installed wrong and replaced with no questions asked. No major corporation has Customer Service like Auto Zone. All employees are awesome!!!

Rude, disrespectful, unhelpful, terrible customer treatment. I went in early, when there were zero other customers in the store, to ask if they helped with battery replacement. Immediately I was met with attitude, unwillingness to help, told that if my battery had any corrosion on they would not help, and I needed to go somewhere else. It did not take long to figure out that this person had zero interest in helping me with my issue, so I ended the conversation and left. I went down the road to Advance Auto Parts and received the level of customer service I expected, battery changed out within 10 minutes no problem. If this employee treats her coworkers with the same level of attitude and disrespect I'm sure she is a joy to work with. No reason for me to ever come back to this store.

I went to advance Auto I mean and they told me my battery was good then I went to AutoZone and he actually tested my battery and found out it didn't have a charge not only did they find out it didn't have a charge they also recommended that it still had warranty on it and I got a brand new battery for free

Calling parts stores looking for a battery vent elbow for my Z06 Corvette that connects from the battery to a drain hose...most wanted to sell me a whole kit that includes the hose etc. for $20+. Spoke with Jarrod in Hartselle, he checked old batteries that had been brought in for core exchanges and found one and gave it to me! What service in this day and age of "no customer service". Thank you Jarrod!

The people that worked here on Sunday, Aug. 7 are some genuine, caring and professional people. Chandra, Chris and David. I was traveling home from TN from a funeral, with my young kids. With 5+ hours still to go, my car battery began losing voltage. (Another parts store had replaced my battery apparently with the wrong one).With my battery voltage at 12.5, and dropping into 12.3, I was thinking it may have instead been an alternator. I pulled of 65, and came to this Auto Zone. They began calling local mechanics to see if anyone could look at it, checking other stores in the area to see if they had the right parts, and testing. David saw that everything tested well. Chandra noticed I had been given an acid only battery, and that this Buick needed a Regulated Lead battery to contain the larger load. They swapped it out, tested it and everything seemed fine.AFTER this, I got a call a few hours later FROM THE STORE checking to see if we had made it home, and if everything was ok. (We weren't home yet, but the voltage remained at 13.7-13.8 the whole way) That kind of customer service cannot be learned. THAT is truly caring about people.

Amanda Guthrie made my trip into AutoZone quick and efficient, even though they had a rough morning with their internet and phones being down. She was very helpful and made getting my parts a breeze. Also, they have my favorite interior detailing spray, 303! The price was not bad even considering online pricing.

Staff greeted me upon arrival and was extremely accommodating and helpful. I found exactly what I came for and was able to get my wiper fluid flowing back to the windshield while I was in the parking lot. Although this AutoZone is in a dated building and plaza, the customer service is still top notch.

I was at this location about 2 weeks ago while on vacation. Car had a misfire so I picking up some spark plugs for an 09 Buick Enclave. The manager (sorry, can't remember his name) was very helpful and ensured I received the correct parts. He managed to get me back on the road after this unexpected occurrence. I wish my local AutoZone still provided this level of service.

We were next in line and needed a check engine light looked at. The guy behind the counter waited on 3 other people before including installing wiper blades, while a second talked to his buddy, and a third was installing a sign on the front window. Very poor customer service.

This is for the Hartselle branch; I know autozone has a bad rep for giving the wrong parts and such but the employees at this store seem to have it together. I've bought many parts from them and haven't yet been given the wrong part. The employees seem to have a decent working knowledge of the parts they carry.

My daughter and I went shopping in Decatur black friday. On the way home it had got dark and started raining. I literally could not see the lines on the road. My daughter mentioned it seemed my headlights were not right. I told her we would have to pull off the road because we couldn't find anything on the way home that would have wiper blades. She quickly goggled autozone and informed me if we could make it around 10 miles to hartselle they had a autozone. So on back roads and going 30mph we started the drive. I panicked the entire time. I didnt know the roads and could not see the lines . Finally making it there, I went in a wet disheveled mess . I explained my wipers were toast and not sure about headlight. Turns out one headlight was out. I can't remember the young man's name who helped me. He was slender with a little beard under his mask. He went beyond and above helping us out. He never once complained . He got everything we needed. We were able to make it home safely because of this young man. This man is the epitome of a wonderful employee. I know he worked Decatur that morning then came to that store. If not for his help I seriously dont know what I would have done. This man was a blessing to us . I will forever be an autozone return customer due to this young man's help . Again so far above normal customer service. Whoever you are Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Limped in late on a Sunday with the fam in the loaded down trickster and they were an answer to prayer. So knowledgeable and helpful. Diagnosed it and helped me swap out my spark plug coil and got us back in the road home. Thank y all!

Your new employee Caleb was so helpful. He found my item, made sure it fit my car, and took care of customer phone calls very professionally.
