My husband's family has been going here for years and I went for the first time last week and it's fantastic. So welcoming, kind and work done affordably! Will always bring my cars here!

Do not recommend using them. They did not perform the repairs in � timely manner. They charged way more than they quoted, after we finally got it back the first time, within a week it had to be towed to them because it broke down with the same related problem it was taken to them for. They would not cover the tow bill. Then we had to pay even more to them and they once again kept putting us off saying they would look and it and fix it to only find out that they wouldn't until we kept having to call and ask on an update. Over priced, slow service and not dependable.

Quickly diagnosed my problem and had me back on the road in one day. If you live in the Chelsea or Harpersville area, I highly recommend Gill s Service Center.

Zero stars!My boyfriend brought his truck to Gils. I recommended because they put a transmission in my daughters car a few years ago.This go round things didn t go so well.Terrible communication.Didn t deliver on time. 2 days wait for repair.Put myself and my boyfriend out of work and late for work for 2 days.They should pay us. Not us pay them!Do not use. Just the worst!!Services: Steering & suspension repair, Wheel alignment

This is an update to an earlier review. I am lucky that I was in a parking lot and not on the highway when their repair failed. I consider myself lucky to be alive. Gill's replaced my hydro boost. I was at a gas station when I hopped in the truck and the brake pedal went to the floor. I opened the hood and found one nut missing and the other side broke. 5 weeks after their repair and I had to pay someone else to repair vehicle because I travel for work and am in another state now.

I've had several repairs done at Gill's and always feel I get a fair price for good quality work. They're usually very quick and always leave everything clean and in good shape when done. Staff is friendly and helpful when walking through what's needed after diagnosing an issue.

My son left his truck there for 2 weeks and they never even looked at it. They said they would bleed the brakes. Never even put it on the lift in 2 weeks despite phone calls and promises.

Great place to have mechanical work done on your vehicle. They are so friendly and so nice to do business with. They are so thorough and explain not only the situation you have, but also let you know other possible problems that could arise. Jonathan and the folks are great.

These are some of the best mechanics I have been to. They will go into detail with what they will have to do and what your best option for solving the problem your car is having. My car just needed a tune up and they did that and apparently some oil had gotten somewhere they couldn't see and it popped one of my cylinder heads the day after I got it back they fixed it free of charge. They had drove it 3 times before they even called me to make sure everything was working fine. They will do what needs to be done and make sure you are safe to go. The prices aren't bad either.

I wish we had known Gill's did work on classic cars earlier. After a horrible experience with another shop in Alabaster, we reached out to Gill's who has been doing work on our "every day" cars for years. They were able to work on my dad's 1964 GTO and did absolutely everything he needed done. The other shop had the car for nearly 5 months and did not complete any of the work needed. Gill's completed all the work in one month's time for a fraction of the cost and with an infinite exponent of professionalism and quality. They took care of us like we were family and I can't be more appreciative.Services: Transmission, Electrical repair, Steering & suspension repair, Electrical, Air conditioning, Brake service & repair, Oil change

Wouldn't recommend them. Had Nissan frontier clutch replacement and now been having all kinds of cranking problems. Plus I was quoted a different price on labor over the phone

Have been to Gil's a number of times and they are always prompt, courteous, and so helpful. Have come through even on short notice a few times already. I am thankful for their business and highly recommend them.

great friendly service. very helpful and attentive to answering your vehicle questions, and if not sure getting you the right answer. reasonable on rates for doing repairs and on parts as well. competitive on tire pricing too.

We have been using Gill's for all our auto service/repairs for more than 30 years. All of the products we have purchased there as well as the service/repairs have all been excellent. Also, we have found they always conduct business with great integrity. We highly recommend them for all your auto service/repair needs!

Couple years back, brought in my vehicle and asked them to check over everything to make sure it would be good for a 1500 mile journey. They only took 30 minutes, topped my fluids, and sent me on my way with the all-clear. Went elsewhere for a second opinion and they were shocked that Gill's blatantly missed (or didn't even check) that I had some serious suspension issues as well as separating tires.Fast forward to earlier this year. Boyfriend's new car had a clutch failure. Ordered a conversion kit online to do ourselves. After not being able to put it back together it was brought to Gill's. It turned out the company we ordered from sent us the wrong kit. Gill's said it would be a week or so. After hearing nothing, had to call and see where progress was, got some excuse about why it wasn't done yet. Okay, not a big deal but should have been kept up to date. Week after week of not being kept up to date, and hearing excuse after excuse as to why, 2 months later car is ready. Car feels great, except for a weird rumbling sensation that wasn't there before. Oh well, not sure what it is. Notice a bolt just sitting in the console that wasn't there before. Turns out they didn't even connect the steering column. Thank goodness it didn't give out and KILL US while driving down 280 for the week we couldn't figure out the rumbling/random bolt. Won't ever return, and will always warn people from here on out.

Great service at a reasonable price. I m new to the area and they let me drop off my veh, gave me a ride home, and came back to get me. Definitely will use them again

Went in for transmission issues. They caused more problems to my car, including axle damage and they ruined my alarm system which left me stranded. It also took them three months due to them ordering the wrong parts. They also fixed a few other issues that were non existent, that I also did not consent to in any way. I wrote a review of this as it happened, but oddly enough that review is gone now.Service: Transmission

We know the family that owns and has owned and operated this establishment for three generations. They are the salt of the earth! Their associates are equally special as they work to diagnose and resolve your automobile/truck issues efficiently, accurately and economically. This is a place where we would continue to take our vehicles for service even if we didn't know the family. We, like many, many others come from far away to avail ourselves of their service. We would recommend that you do yourself the service of trying them out for yourself. Ee believe you will be just as impressed as we are!

I have been bringing my vehicles to Gill's for years, for tires, repairs, oil changes, etc. This family run business treats all heir customers like they are important and their prices and serviceso are excellent. I recommend them to everyone!

went in for wheel hub assembly, cv axle and brake master cylinder when it was said and done they changed out my old battery didn't fix the brake master cylinder and charged me 435 dollars.. do not I repeat do not use this place if you want to end up leaving with your vehicle worse than you brought it in.

At another car repair shop I was told I needed a new engine in my truck, $5000! Seeking a second opinion, I went to Gill s and they diagnosed the problem and replaced the water pump, $400. Only 32% of those in the most recent Gallup poll rate auto mechanics as High/Very High on trust. Gill s gets 100% in my book for one reason; honesty.

We blew a fuel line in our RV down the road. We were pointed to Gills. They worked us in and 90 minutes later were back on the road againGood friendly service.
