I don't understand why everyone is so harsh on this motel. Is it perfect, No. But I've stayed in everything from $50 a night to $500 a night, and I can tell you, none of them are perfect. I only had 1 issue and instead of getting on here and complaining I simply brought it to the attention of the staff. Oh, and by the way, the staff is extremely friendly and professional. So, I spent $204 for 2 nights, lake side. The room was spacious, the bed was clean and comfortable, the water was hot with great water pressure, the view was amazing and the breakfast was delicious. I will definitely go back for another mini getaway. Keep up the good work guys.

They need to hire a good handyman and quickly.... coffee machine was nasty, filters to the AC/heat were clogged. Nice area, the Aqua restaurant food selection was bar food!!! But it was still good, but it wasn't what we were expecting due to not being able to find a menu online or anything. Breakfast was amazing, it made up for the other stuff.

Total review-Check-in was okay. The view on the lakeside was perfect & almost would have made it worth the stay. The room was clean, other than long black hairs on the blankets & bathroom floor.Using the sink, you only get straight cold or scorching hot. No warm water. Toilet constantly ran.Breakfast staff was really friendly, but the food was not as great as they make it sound to be. Eggs were really runny & undercooked, bacon extra crunchy. Gravy & potatoes cold. One of the food warmers was not even working, but they were quick to fix it. We stayed 2 nights, skipped the breakfast on the second morning.About 3 hours AFTER we checked in, 3rd shift workers came in & took nearly another hundred dollars out of our account. Hubby questioned two different front desk employees about it & they both denied it was taken out, even though he showed them the proof. Location & the view were great! Everything else, not so much. IF you do stay here, I would most definitely use cash to pay!!!! But I personally would not recommend & we will not be going back.

The people are very friendly! Good service! But the room shown in the photo is not what we got. The one we saw had a kitchen counter and private balcony. The one we got was not private people kept walking by loudly and there was no counter. The window looked very dirty. But other than that the breakfast was great and the room was clean. You could definitely tell that it used to be a motel 6 or something. But the lake view was great and despite being right next to traffic our room was pretty quiet tho I think that's because we were facing the lake.7 out of 10 would stay here again.

It was not dirty, it was filthy. The first 2 pictures are the corners in the bathroom. The next one shows the dust on the lamp. There was dirt all over the floor. We left for dinner and left the lights off. Came back to check for bed bugs. Luckily, there were none. The stairwells were dirty, too. Glad we didn't eat at the restaurant.

The hotel is good I really liked it so did my wife could it be a little better like better hotel doors we had use our foot to get the door to fully lock but the beds oh goodness they was soft and comfortable but I'm not here to slam the hotel I'm here to fair warn people who stay here about the bars I never went to the bars that are at this hotel but they need to cut people off at a decent amount of alcohol because as of 2/17/24 me and my wife we got woke up by a next door neighbor yelling and screaming at his wife or something because he was extremely drunk and was threatening to shoot her in the head just from what we herd through the walls I told my wife to help pack our stuff up and we drove 2 hours back home this morning because we simply did not want to be in no kinda situation like that but don't let this post scare you from this hotel it's actually really nice it's just when stupid people who can't handle there alcohol is what makes it look bad on the place but if anyone else does stay here I definitely recommend eating at the little restaurant they have in there it was so delicious yall check them out

My husband and I was told about this hotel with their great breakfast. Well we stayed here for two days. It wasn t bad at all. I would have recommended this place. We left this morning everything was going great until we went to go check into our other hotel and we just found out the hotel charged us for another stay tonight. This is the last of our money we have. My husband and I have no money to stay Anywhere. We have called the front desk to see if we can get our money back or get the room they charged us for because we stayed we have no money to stay any where. The front desk lady can t help us nor will help us with getting a hold of the manager tonight to help us get this issue fixed. I don t understand how you can take somebody s money and not give the service you charged for or give the money back on the same day. Even my bank called to help us get this transaction refunded but that was to no avail. All we get told is call tomorrow but my disabled veteran husband can not sleep in the car. So why is there no manager on Sunday s ?

Drove 10 hours got to hotel got my room key and when I opened the door it was someone else s room. So we had to move to another room. That night our neighbors were out drinking until 1 AM but that s not what bothered me, what bothered me was that at 4:30 in the morning our neighbors were moaning SO LOUD it woke my boyfriend and I both. Then you didn t have a chance to fall back asleep because it went on over an hour, finally I called the front desk who came and knocked on the door. They just laughed and went back at it. This time knocking off the rusty iron board from the wall. At this point I had no choice but to try to switch rooms. So I packed up my 6 days worth of items and moved 2 doors down at 5am. The front desk stated that she would leave a note for request for discount since it was such an experience after only being there 24 hours and having to move twice. Well a few days pass, we go to check out and the manager practically laughs at us stating well the problem was solved wasn t it I was out of energy at this point and ready to go. I won t be coming back. Not to mention the steps are an accident waiting to happen.Breakfast was good. View great. Bed comfy.

The location on the lake is good. If you are fishing or boating, it has good water access. The room appeared clean on the surface, but as you start to notice out of the way areas and some corners, it is dirty. The bathroom had mold on a lot of the caulking. Overall the hotel needs a renovation. For the price of the room I expected better quality. The semi private balcony is great if you like smelling like an ash tray. We could barely breathe when walking to our room from all the cigarette smoke. The smoke smell gets into the room as well. You also get to be part of the conversations of everyone in the smoking area (balcony) outside your room door (whether you want to or not). Lots of noisy people walking by outside our door.

This is a typical 3 star hotel. It's an older hotel that has had some updates. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There are some maintenance issues that need to be corrected. Room 205 the shower doesn't drain properly and the toilet handle has to be jiggled to stop running. The grout in the shower has some mold and failure areas. These are minor issues that can be corrected. The view is fantastic and the price is reasonable.

So I finally got a chance to stay at the Wyndham Garden Lake for my birthday! The hotel is okay and the staff was great! The room I had was located right in front of the River. The room was clean, nothing luxury of course; however , it is somewhere I will stay again! Enjoy the photos!Noteworthy details: This hotel is located directly on the lake! Just remember you will have to book the room with a late view in order to wake up to see the sun shining on the lake!

Great hotel with a friendly staff. The grounds and rooms are nice and clean. Parking can be a little tight as times.its close to Meny places to grab a bite to eat and have dock access. The price isn't to low but I think it fits the place.Noteworthy details: Has dock access for you boat.

The room was clean. The building is older but is well maintained. The bar downstairs is so convenient and the ppl running the bar are great although I was told their contract has not been renewed so others will be taking over at some point. The whole staff here has been very friendly as well as accommodating. My hubs and I will be back.Walkability: Convenience store right next door to walk to and Publix across the street. Sit down and FF restaurants anywhere from 8 minutes away.

We stayed a night just to get out of Huntsville for a change of scenery.Overall, it's an older hotel, with upgraded features, next to the highway, with stunning (!) lake views.Note: If hotel was remodeled as some reviews have complained, prices would triple, bc the lakeside view is incredible.Don't think I'd be as happy on the highway side TBH bc of traffic noise.Got a king sized bed with a lake view.5= lake view ( sunset & sunrise,), outside each lakeside room is a mini semi-private cafe/ deck with a lake view, comfy bed & pillows, service, breakfast (!) with great lake views, & location in Guntersville ( so close to everything). There is also a walking deck, right on the lake, but we didn't go out there4= Rooms we're updated ( floors, sink, bath). HVAC was fine ... usually a sticking point with me3= Bathroom was on small side, but can't change that without massive remodel.Overall, I give my experience a "4+"Would like to return.Nearby activities: Close to restaurants & new City Harbor.

Well these reviews kinda suck. I've got two rooms booked for November and now I'm questioning if I want to stay here. $600 for two rooms, two nights, I mean I expect very clean, updated rooms and what I was told, king beds, lakeside view. Hope rooms are not close to the highway. Hope I'm not making a mistake. I grew up there and have always wanted to stay at this hotel. Afraid we may be very disappointed

Beautiful location, Old outdated hotel. This facility needs a major remodel. If you do stay here, make sure your room is on the lake side. The roadside is very very noisy. The staff we encountered was very nice and friendly. For the price, we would have to pass staying here again. Time to invest some money on the property and bring it up to it's potential.Rooms: Old outdated hotel. It needs to be remodeled badly.

Great hotel simple clean and comfy. All the staff was super nice. Breakfast buffet was delicious as well. The road side rooms werent too noisy. Rooms have been renvoated but some things could still be updated just a bit. We stayed here after a double booking @ another location nearby was well worth it for an overnight stay. Had a nice looking pool area with cornhole, as well as a private dock overlooking the lake.

My first visit to Wyndham Garden on Lake Guntersville. Cigna (my health insurance), held an advocacy meeting at Wyndham Garden in December. A pleasant road trip from Columbiana to Guntersville. There was plenty of parking! Greeted by staff , friendly. Front Desk assisted me to the correct meeting room.Meeting room was clean and comfortable for the time being there. We used the internet to have conversations with other members to join in with some feedback. Restroom was spotless and close to our meeting room. Enjoyed my visit with Wyndham Garden on Lake Guntersville. I will need to visit again in warmer Alabama weather.

Wonderful views, older hotel, not updated properly, new laminate flooring, granite applied to shower walls, mildew in caulking, old furniture, couch had a couch cover, sheets were stained. Restaurant was closed, only available for breakfast buffet which was good. Best qualities boat launch, boat docks, charging stations and the viewsNearby activities: LAKE Access
