I was a bit leary about staying here, but was absolutely blown away. The service was fantastic, and the room was extremely clean, updated, and very tastefully decorated. Housekeeping is impeccable, and extremely friendly, and accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel.Food & drinks: Grocery store across the street. Fast food restaurant about a 3 minute walk.

!!!!DON T GO THERE!!!! It may be on the cheaper side but me and my fianc� went up there for one night and he woke up and seen roaches crawling on the wall and our nightstands and in the bathroom and drawers and in the hand towels then he pulled out the bottom drawer bc he felt disgusted by everything he wanted to see how bad it was and there was a syringe in the drawer plus everything that he found odds and ends that was in the pull out bed on the couch then they denied everything and said we were the drug heads

Even though they have recently remodeled MOST of the rooms, I am still waiting for my room to be remodeled or repaired due to a flooding over a month ago. The floor is warped and boards are coming up. They currently don't have a housekeeping staff. Getting towels and sheets is a little difficult. Once every 30 days as of lately. The rooms that have been remodeled from what I have been told have touch mirror lights, new carpet or tile. New TVS and lamps. But the people who run the place are friendly and will work with you.

Didn't really care for the check in experience. But for the price, it is a good place to stay if your looking for a cheap room to get you bye for the night or weekend. The bedding was clean but had a lot of holes in them. When we got to the room. It smelled like someone just rip a huge bong pull. Pretty sure it was coming from the room next to us.

I am not the type to ever make a review on a place. I hate even giving this place a 1 star! My husband and I came in to town for a funeral, and there wasn't very many vacancies anywhere. When approached the motel there was a lot of trash around and I'm people clearly lived there. Both didn't bother me. Get into the room I checked for bed bugs on the mattress which was pretty dirty, but no sign of them. In the middle of the night I went to the bathroom and was washing my hands and there I saw a cockroach and then 2 more! I immediately packed all my stuff and slept in the car. In the early am my husband showered and saw another one in daylight!

the water in the bathtub would not drain, and the bath tub was dirty, the ceiling was falling down, the walls had idk wat all over them, everything in the room was falling apart. the room had an odor to it, the floor was so dirty and would have your feet black, the blankets didnt seem clean at all, the owner comes around 10 am and starts banging on the door asking if you are staying or checking out.people are out in their car looking like they are on herion. i wouldnt recommend this place to no one.

I rented a room for a night . I slept when I arrived so I woke about 12 midnight got ready to take a shower and noticed public hair in the shower cleaned it out and proceeded to shower the water wasn't draining at all !! Nasty water high up on my legs it was disgusting.. I still felt dirty .. then I started turn on TV no the remote did not work at all .. I wanted get my drinks cold but the mini fridge was not working.. I left at 3 Am to go home no shower ,no TV and no cold drink .I called the motel and told the man what I experienced he said I'm so sorry I didn't mean for you to get that room and didn't inspect it!! He said if I come back for a stay that he would give me discount so few weeks later I did I told the girl during check in that I was promised a discount she said you speak to manager in the morning before you leave ..so I did this man acting like he had no clue what I was talking about !!! So I still have received nothing after being promised that they would make it up to me!!! Not to mention Crack heads living there and the floors being nasty my Sox was black ..also I have been being over charged I paid 70 bucks not 57 and a lady there said they charged her 57 .I ask and they denied the room I stayed in the last night (only because I was promised a discount ) the water in the shower was shooting straight out in the floor

Motel is well above average for the price. The staff was great and my room was very clean. Most motels in this price range are at best inconsistent, if you catch them on the right night, they'll have clean rooms and linens. Also, everything in the room worked except the TV remote, after a call to the front desk (and from the room phone, yes they have phones in the rooms!) it was quickly sorted it out. I like the guys who run the place, and the others who work there too. My past experience staying at these small motels has been very disappointing so I was pleasantly surprised when I noticed the Regal Inn management and staff provided quality custumer service, they actually appreciate and know how to treat their customers. They were professional and considerate, and what is rare in these motels today, they were very helpful and showed genuine concern when addressing any problem or issue I had. If you are planning to stay in Guntersville, and are on a budget, I highly recommend the Regal Inn.

From the time me and my wife checked in, the lady at the front desk was extremely nice. The room was pretty nice considering this was the cheapest motel in the area. Most cheap motels is loaded with trouble, but not this one. The room we stayed in was newly renovated. The beds is extremely comfortable. Not to mention it is only 2 minutes away from Lake Guntersville

We had the handicap queen room. Clean. No bugs. No one bothered us in the middle of the night. Beds comfy. There was a microwave, fridge and little one cup coffee maker. There was a plug in the bathroom where the little coffee maker was...did not work. Carpet was a little frazzled between the beds and stained in front of the dresser. But over all for two nights it wasn't bad. You couldn't see the river but the river is a very short distance from the motel. This is a wonderful area to explore.

I'm for the weekend attending a family reunion. I reserved a room her for my mom and my aunt. Check in was easy. The room is ok. I mean it's only for two days and didn't break my piggy bank. The bathroom is clean, the tub is clean, the sink is clean, the sheets are clean. No bed bugs.(*UPDATE Day 1 The housekeeper did get an attitude because I called the front desk and complained that no one came to service the room. Just because it's a stay over doesn't mean my aunt and mom don't want the floor vacuumed or want fresh towels*) She changed my attitude about the while review. The owners need to invest in some new towels....the ones they give out are kind of dingy. The hotel is conveniently located, there is a plaza directly across the highway with a Food Land grocery store located in it as well. Sure there were more expensive 4 star hotels around, but I chose this one because I'm here only for two days. I was born here in Guntersville, it's such a beautiful city. My mom and aunt said it's comfortable so as long as they're satisfied I'm happy. I reserved a room at the Lakeside Inn up right up the highway from this one, I'll review that one later when I leave my mom's and aunt's room. If you ever come to Guntersville, enjoy that beautiful city!!

Me, my children, and my mom loved it. We got a great deal having a room with 2 queen beds. We paid the price of a 1 bed. Also there was a Nice lady at the front desk. Great service. Do recommend. We will be going back there.

Floor dirty...everything coming out of the walls like the toilet paper holder and outlets. Walls look like things have been spilt all over it. Beds were comfortable that's the only good thing and no bed bugs...but way over priced for the room!

If I could write this place with zero Stars I would, the room had a puddle of water right in front of the door when we woke up and the owners and managers said that that has never happened before when clearly it was coming in from the door. Not to mention the room right next door the floor was rotten because of water damage if anybody has children or elderly people do not stay here for their safety. Rooms were also not clean, hair was in the bathtub, it was very upsetting for what we paid for the room. The response we got from the owners or manager is its mother nature what are we supposed to do about that and also that it's okay it's not a problem that there's water in the floor of a hotel room that has linoleum flooring.

The floor was dirty and not vacummed. There was baggies from peoples drug use under the bed, the walls had dirty hand prints on them. The sheets from the bed were on the dresser and I was not even sure if they were clean. I had to go request new ones.The lady at the front desk was nice though.

The price per night is not bad at all $ 72 but honestly if I had known it would be the worst night I would not have stayed to sleep here. The sheets, the pillowcases and the bedspread were super dirty but the worst was yet to come, when we turned off the lights and went to bed to rest, cockroaches began to appear everywhere.

I understand smoking rooms are going to smell like smoke, and I chose the room because I vape, but wow was the smell overwhelming. I was a 10+ year smoker before I finally quit and started vaping and I went and bought air frames because it smells so bad. The AC fan on high barely blows, but it s cold. So far it s serving it s purpose, but it s not worth $129 for two nights. I should ve paid extra and stayed at the lakeside inn.

Carlos was just finishing up my room. When you open the door the entire inside is all damp with moisture the walls tables and mirrors the floors. Ask Carlos about it he said that's normal for this time of year and on the first floor. So I had asked for a few extra towels, he greatly accommodated me with two large towels. I had also asked him if that was a smoking room, he had sad yes, and brought me one. Thank you Carlos

The Regal Inn Guntersville, made me nervous. There were people who looked like they lived.They looked a little sketchy. The power went before we could get into the room then the tv wouldn't work,then after the tv was fixed no channels it smelled .Mold around the baseboard throughout. Paid for 3 nights.the covers had bad stains all plus cigarette burns all over. We are out $240.00 and no refunds what can we do. With covid lurking around us I am scared. Oh,also the faucet isn't properly installed it almost lays down when you try to turn it on. UNBELIEVABLE ! EXPEDIA! These days $240.00 is alot of money especially when you are here trying to find a place to live because your landlord is selling the home you have been living in for 10 yes. Can't get help from anyone. It's a sad sad world.

I love this place! Very clean and the staff really go out of their way to help. We stayed 2 nights and arrived several hours before check in time. After an 11 hour car ride for a funeral, the thought of paying for an extra night just for a couple hours was overwhelming. They had a room ready and let us check in early at no extra charge. Also, most comfortable beds ever. I was so happy here and will refer all my friends here in the future.

Very clean, great hospitality. Rooms have coffee maker, coffee cups, hair dryer and a closet. The beds are the most comfortable I have experienced in a motel. Free breakfast included, quiet and not environment. Well worth the price for a week.

Stayed there the 25th. Eat up with bed bugs. Horrible. We always look before we carry stuff in but couldn't find any. The way their headboards are made they are hiding behind them. I hate it to because we have stayed there for yrs with all good experiences. Likable people and always clean. But can't take bed bugs.

The rooms were clean and look good. Had issues with the wiFi but the clerk fixed the issue promptly. We had plenty of towels and wash cloths. We did have some late night arrivals that were loud coming in. Other than that we had a good experience.

Staying here was a BIG Mistake. First driving to our room around the motel in back people working on a truck or just geeking from drugs. My wife was scared the whole time there we Even left early. Well the rooms were bad, but when I sit down in the bathroom there was no toilet paper WOW stranded over toilet bowl. Then got to looking around NO towels at all. My wife when to the office they sent two hand towels and two wash cloths, No bath towels so we when and purchase two so we could bath. Never again really bad experience.
