Vehicle taken in at 3:30pm, checked on it at 4:30 and they hadn t started on vehicle. Here for an oil change. Adding to insult, a car is pulled in behind mine, and the technician starts to change a battery in the car that just got here, as if my vehicle hasn t been here over an hour already. This is trash customer service!!!! I ll never come to this place again.

I went in to have my oil changed and have a damaged tire looked at. I arrived a few minutes before opening, but both techs arrived late, so I had to wait an extra 20 minutes, not the biggest deal in the world. They do the oil change, but call the tire unfixable, don't replace it with a new one as I asked, and cancel the entire order. This results in me never getting the confirmation text that my car is done, and I spend an extra hour waiting for no reason. And the tire isn't fixed. They tell me there's nothing they can do, I'll have to wait behind the other people who arrived after me to get it replaced. I can't wait so I have to leave and get it fixed another day. I leave, only to get into my car to find that the fabric on my door is now stained with grease. Needless to say, my overall experience was less than spectacular. The cashier was friendly and helpful. This was entirely on the techs.

Had a flat tire and was helped by Jerry. Jerry did a great job!! He took extra care and was very kind as were Amiracle and the other tech who was helping another customer. Great experience.Service: TiresService: Tires

Purchased tires online and made an appointment for my son to have them installed.. He dropped his truck off before the scheduled time. Three hours went by and they had not even started on it. He ended up getting the tires and left to have another tire shop install them. That meant he wasn't able to purchase the extra warranties he had planned to get. Why schedule an appointment if you're not going to honor it? Appointments should be before walk-ins. Also, they shouldn't allow more appointments than can be handled. I don't know what their problem was but we definitely would NOT recommend them.

This place is completely understaffed. I ve witnessed 6 cars leave to avoid the long wait, I m looking at techs wandering around instead of working together as a team to get customers in and out within a reasonable time. I arrived at 9am for a full set of tires. My car sat in a parking space for over 3 hours. It was finally pulled into the bay when I threatened to leave at 12:09pm. It sat on the rack for an additional 15mins (with all valve stems removed, before it was touched. It s now 12:45pm and only 2 tires has been replaced. I will be putting a set of tires on my wife SUV soon & I highly doubt that I will return to this place. I ll take my money elsewhere... perhaps I ll change my mind if they hire more techs and pick up the pace because This wasn t my idea of spending my day off I checked out at 1:05pm

Would give it zero stars if I could. Just needed an oil change. I sat in the car waiting in a line of cars thinking that someone would come out and take my information like most of the other Wal Mart auto centers. After waiting 15 minutes and no one came out( even though several employees see me sitting there) I decide to go in and let them know I need an oil change. As I approach the counter, three associates are discussing something about another co worker while I just stand there. Eventually once the impromptu meeting was over the guy at the counter, who apparently is a lead of some sort according to the name badge kind of acknowledges I'm there. I state I would like to get an oil change and he says we do that out there one of the guys will get you or I might but I'm in the middle of doing something. I work in retail as well, and I can promise you, even though retail is difficult, there isn't a company out there that is ok with that kind of service. Needless to say I left and will try elsewhere. They need a complete overhaul in this place. 2 people doing oil changes and three people hanging at the counter? And nobody could check me in? If y'all are that miserable where you can't do the basics, find some other way to get paid. You re doing a complete disservice to your current job.

The manager of the store need to do a better job of keeping standard items in stock. Going to go get my tire changed yesterday and they didn't have any weights to balance the tire. However, they did put my spare on free of charge to make sure that I was able to get home.

Dropped my truck off and they said they d get started when the other employee got back from lunch, after that employee got back he said they wouldn t be able to do it today because the other employee had to now take his lunch. He said they require 2 people to be there when they do tire work. I went back, got the truck like they requested, and I won t be back.Service: Tires

The ladies at the register were kind, but I was here 30 MINS before spoken to, OVER 2 hrs when I was the 4th car in line for an OIL CHANGE. then they parked my car to the side and I had to remind them I paid for a balance/rotate which took almost another 2 HOURS. They offered me lifetime deal...why the hell would I want to go through that again???

Edit: went back to walmart for tires for 3rd time to no avail. Said they couldn't help me at 2pm with 2 tires. While they sit in the back and text on phone's. Then got an attitude. Need a whole new staff. Gardendale walmart went down hill bad. !!! Trip 2: Terrible service. They closed 5 hours early over supposed understaffed. Waited in line forever just to be told they won't do any more work at after 2pm. Supposed to close at 7pm. Wouldn't recommend. Trip 3 same as above. Terrible

Tried to get 2 more tires for my car. Went by yesterday after work at 4:15 since they are open til 7, all closed up and no one will answer the phone. Tried calling first thing this morning and no answer after trying multiple times. The store would not answer the oh one either!! Took my business elsewhere!!! Gladly paid extra!!

I have been in need of new tires twice now since I have lived in Gardendale. Over the years I keep calling these guys first and I am always disappointed. I can rarely get anyone to answer. The one time I did get someone to answer he was in such a hurry to go home he was unwilling to really answer any questions I had. Even though I had called several times during normal business hours. I finally give up after 5 years of the same issue I don't trust them with my car.

This place is garbage.Although my business will not be missed I refuse to spend a dime at this location ever again.I spent over 600 dollars on new tires right at a year ago. With all the warranties you can buy. A couple days ago I started getting a bad vibration coming from the front and thought it may have been a wheel weight loss. Before ever looking at the car the lady that was processing me in basically said they were not going to do anything. So I showed her the receipt and she said well we have about eight people in front of you. I said fine I'll wait.So four hours later they pulled my car in pulled the tires off and 5 minutes later called me to the back and said the front tires were shot and the front end needed realigned they couldn't do anything even the rotating of the wheels they were supposed to do.The inside of the tire was showing wires so I asked him to put the front on the back so it would be safer to drive home and they wouldn't even do that because I would not buy more new tires from them.

Auto Center was understaffed as it appears each time I visit. This time the employee made that statement. I needed tires and was told it could take up to 3 hours. Only 4 cars ahead of me. I left and will go elsewhere. 3-16-19: I spent 3.65 hours for 2 tires. 3 other customers who also wanted tires. Employees stated they were understaffed.

We bought my husbands tires from Walmart just a few weeks ago. There was a nail in one and the oil needed to be changed, so we brought the truck to the Gardendale store to have the tire replaced (we planned on paying for a whole new tire, it turned out to be under warranty!) and to have the oil changed. Dropped it off at 2:30 (they were fairly busy) and decided to leave it until they could get to it. We came back at 7PM and the truck had not been touched.... seriously. We asked why and an employee said well... I guess we don t have that tire in stock... So we responded with, Why didn t you call me to let me know, and why didn t you go ahead and change the oil in the FIVE HOURS ITS BEEN HERE? He didn t have much of an answer for that one. We wasted an afternoon of not having a vehicle (we both work full time and weekends, so there is LITERALLY not another day we could do this) and now have nothing done to the truck. We are seriously disappointed and can t wait to call the manager first thing in the morning.

My experience at Walmart was as follows yesterday I went at about 12 noon was told in a nice way that they did not have but two people working they didn't schedule enough people to work and I would have a minimum weight of possibly three hours so I went back today they had more people working but the wait would have still been considerable so I went ahead and purchased a tire the people at the sales counter we're very friendly and helpfulbut I still had to go to another garage to have my tire mounted and balanced which voided the warranty on my tire. Not happy, this is the only Walmart within 30 miles of my home they should hire more people.

Had appointment Sunday morning at 8:00 to have 4 tires mounted, only vehicle in the shop and it took 2 hours 10 minutes. Shop guys moved like turtles and they thought it was funny. Walmart tire prices great but service absolutely not worth the savings.

Terrible experience with tire and lube. The cashier's are very rude. Talked to manager and she said she would make it right by waving all fees and give me all the warranties. I went to the tire center to get two new front tires. The cashier Paris said she was new and didn't know how to do any of the warranties very rude. Why would you put a new cashier by herself that wasn't helpful? So sense no one wants to help me I will never get my tires at this location again. I will not recommend anyone getting tires put on at this location!!! Very dissatisfied and disappointed!!!!!

So far I've been here going on 40 minutes. When I pulled up there was 3 cars. 2 of which were already in the shop getting there work done. I was getting 1 new tire and a oil change. This was supposed to be a 20 to 30 minute job. Now my car is sitting in the parking lot with old tire still on it. More cars have now pulled in to where they are now busy. With the guy that's changing the tires moving like a sloth. This went from 30 minutes to now I know it's gonna be well over an hour. Will go to a different Wal Mart Tire Center next time. They are costing me money just sitting here. Sloooooooooooooow!!!

Needed 4 new tires and they were really quick and reasonably priced. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because they put the weights on the outside, instead of inside the tire.

I want to preface by saying I've used this location a LOT in the past and other than very long wait times, even when arriving before they open, I have generally been satisfied with their work. However, my last experience has me doubting I'll be using them again.I dropped by Friday, Nov 9th 2018 to get the $29 Headlight Lens Cleaning. I was told they were out of kits and they took my number to call me when they came in. After a week of not hearing from them I called on Thurs the 15th and the lady that answered said the kits were in. I asked if I could come in the next morning and she told me yes. I took off work on Fri the 16th and was told to come back when they opened on Sat. I was there before they opened at 7:00, 1st in line, and was told the guy that does the lens cleaning doesn't arrive until 10 am. I came back at 9:45 am and after waiting for an hour and 1/2 the manager apologized and said if I would come back next week she would do it free of charge. I told her that wasn't necessary, just let me know when I could get it done. She told me to be there at 6:30 am Monday the 19th.I arrived at Monday the 19th at 6:29 am (they don't open until 7), and at 7 I was told the kits had never come in. This after calling to verify and 4 trips. Very disappointed in being jerked around like this.

Every time I come here, I m here for hours... the employees drag their feet, literally. I was first here today, and the oil change took 10 minutes.Since then the employees keep checking in other people... so I suppose I have to wait to leave/pay till new customers quit showing up.

Good service and nice people. Only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because I waited 4.hours to get one tire replaced. Granted they were busy, perhaps short handed too.

Nothing like leaving work early, drive 16 miles to my local Wal-Mart and being told by the service manager with a smile "I'd for you to wait two hours and not be able to help you". It was obvious my business isn't want esp since I couldn't get the oil changed I need earlier in the week when I was here buying to tired and no other cars to service and plenty of time before you closed...

Horrible experience! 4 hour oil change people! Asked to speak to a manager and got someone named Earnest who refused to accept responsibility for poor customer service and communicating the amount of time that the service would take. Do not use this place! Unacceptable and will NEVER! Use this place again! Poorly done Walmart. This review app made me give 1 star otherwise I would have given zero stars.

After walking to both doors in back. Called auto center and no answer. Called store and no answer. Called auto center back again and someone answered so i ask if they were doing oil changes. This is Wednesday, April 21, 2021 around 11:00am. Was told they didn't have the staff. Maybe a crazy day.
