My experience at Kia Gardendale was awesome. Casey and Mitch..My credit was not the best and they were able to get me in the car I wanted. I love my car and if I had a do over I would still go to Kia in Gardendale. Casey went above and beyond asking questions about what I wanted out of a car. He did a great job listening to what I wanted and let me test drive several cars. At the end of the day I couldn t have gotten a better experience anywhere else. I would recommend Casey to anyone if they were looking to buy a car.

We Went to look at a specific car.. they wouldn t show us the one car we wanted to see. They were Trying to sell every other vehicle on the lot. Finally we went ourselves down the lot to find the truck. Turns out it was trashed. They weren t comfortable with selling us certain vehicles then they changed their minds and tried to sell them anyways.. just be prepared for the classics salesman act also right when we got there they took us inside and ran our credit. Also when we turned down one specific vehicle they sent a manager outside to argue with my wife.. unprofessional. Wouldn t recommend

Zero star if i could bad customer service all around.Yesterday I went in for a simple oil change and tire rotations . Appointment time 8:30 . I was told my car would be ready at 11:20 i didn t leave until 11:40am . You would think in the almost 4 hrs they would rest oil life in my car. no solution when I called the same day the receptionist is giving me the run away about what time to come in and have them just push a few buttons . It very sad that I have to call another dealership to have them fix the problem because I would be interfering with their lunch time . It inconvenience to me to have to call and drive another dealership when this shouldn t even be a problem.

Amazing service!!! I had a wonderful experience buying my car from Serra Kia in Gardendale. Kim and Bubba Christian are the best!! Kim worked so Hard to get me in a Vehicle. Her Husband Bubba explained everything to me about my car. Both of them were courteous and very professional. I highly recommend buying a car from this dealership it couldn't have been any easier.

Jeremiah went above and beyond before and after the purchase. He was able to identify a rare version of the car I wanted and provided additional services when he wasn't required to. Happy with my decision and the quality of service he provided.

The WORST customer service I ve ever experienced. Trying to call about warranty info/gap after totaling your car? Expect to never get in touch with anyone and if you leave a voicemail, they ll never call back. Totaled my car in August of 2023 and they just NOW settled and paid out my gap and warranties to my financing company.Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, this place will screw you over any chance they get.

The service department has always been meticulously when servicing my vehicle. Not only that but the employees are wonderful. Micheal and Lacy are easy to get along with. And these two really show they care about their customers. I ll continue to service my vehicle here.

Tony and his crew were fast, efficient and treated better than family! Check in was simple, and when it was time to check out Michael and Lacy made certain I understood my repairs as well as my charges. The guys in detail were fantastic; Jon and Wesley has my car shinning like a new penny! I cannot recommend the Service Department at Serra Kia Gardendale enough, regardless of the make and model of you car or truck.

If you value you vehicle and time do not go here for service. They completed an oil change last week and I noticed oil spots on my driveway after they serviced it. It took them 3 days to get me in for an appointment. When I got there for the appointment I was informed it would be 1.5 hr wait. They obviously don't value their customers time or care to do quality work. You have been warned.

If I could write a review without giving a star I would. We originally had an A frame order on warranty through a dealership in Indiana, during our commute to AL for fall break the A frame gave out, the original part was order in Indiana in Jan, the A frame failed in October and because the part was on back order the dealership in Indiana had not repaired our car. When we arrived (stranded) in AL, they stated there was wear and tear, clearly driving on an A frame that was already diagnosed and deemed needing repair, 9 months later I m sure it had wear and tear. We had to pay out of pocket to release our car, hotel, car rental and repair, thousands of dollar and still fighting this two years later to get our money back. Now their story is we hit something which would void the warranty. WE NEVER HIT ANYTHING, we literally had the part on order covered under warranty and was told the dealership would call us back to bring the car in for repair. Now it s our story against theirs and we re out again, thousands of dollars for a repair that should ve been covered under warranty AND WAS, the part was just on back order.. unbelievable, truly. The paperwork from the dealer says customer states a noise is coming from passenger front wheel. Nothing about customer says they hit something, BECAUSE WE DIDNT.

Bought a van 11/16 and a week later on thanksgiving the check engine light comes on. I have the Kia app on my phone which alerts me there is a misfire on cylinder 2. On Monday take it to them and they say they have to charge me 200 to hook it up to their machine to find the issue. My husband tells the service manager we haven t even had it a week. He informs us since we didn t purchase the extended warranty they can t do anything. I normally purchase my cars from small independent dealers but this time I didn t my mistake. Took it to a local shop and they said the spark plugs were bad and needed replacing, I was told when I picked up the car they had done a complete service including spark plugs so guess what they lied!!! DO NOT DEAL WITH SERRA AT ALL!!!! And guess what the local mechanic didn t charge me to hook up to a machine!!!! And yes my husband and I purchased this van at Serra Kia of gardendale!

I wish it was for 0 stars. We brought a car on September 23 and been having problems since then. We have brung the car in to them and they claim they can t tell what s going on. We took it to a Chevy dealership and they advise us it s electrical and it will be 1000 to fix. Our holidays was ruin because we couldn t even go out of town Thanksgiving weekend nor get our money back from our trip. I would ve advise anyone to come here especially black people. They look down on us and knowing they sold us a car that was not working properly.

I bought a used truck from Serra Kia I also bought a Extended Care Vehicle Service Contract and Lifetime Powerttain Limited Warranty. Had the truck 6 days put a little over 500 miles on truck. Had engine problems on my way to Newnan, Georgia. Had to have it towed to Ford dealership in Newnan. They got in touch with First Automotive the warranty co. Which issued a claim. Had camshaft problem. Adjuster came look at parts and wrote it up as pre-existing when sold to me. Serra Kia of Gardendale, Al. Said there is nothing they can are will do to help this customer. My truck been in shop for over a month. So I have no choice but to find a Lawyer. So done buy the Extend warranty from This dealership and don't expect this dealership to help after you buy from them.

Car buying is usually a nightmare, but the folks here are amazing. My sales associate Brennan (now in finance) was so knowledgeable and didn't pressure me into a car I didn't want. Casey who did our financing was super easygoing and made signing all those documents a little bit easier.

I had a terrible experience with the finance manager and the sales manager when I bought my car an year ago (pushy, disrespectful, almost what are you going to do if we don t do the right thing as you have already signed the papers). Now the service dept is the exact same. Set up an appt for 8:30, and they didn t get the car back for an oil change till 10:30. Then they tell me appointments are tentative..do not mean much). Told me to keep checking if they got busy so they do not forget my car. They are clueless, and just inefficient and not customer centered. I will not be returning here.

Great customer service!! I really appreciate the COVID Safety precautions. Thanks for the hospitality of the free coffee, bottled water and popcorn. The popcorn was burnt smelling, but the coffee from the Kureg was good. I really appreciate the customer service from Joey, if I remember correctly. They said it would take 2 days to finish it and gave me a vehicle to drive. Although, I had just filled my tank up and the loaner had under half a tank of gas, but it was okay, as long as my baby gets fixed. Thanks for all your help!!!

Bought a 2015 dodge Durango here a couple months ago. Was my first time buying a car. They took full advantage of that and charge me more than the car was worth. A significant amount more. On top of that got the car home taking kids around town it had bad breaks and rotors on it all the way around. Went by there 3 times to see if they would make it right considering all the money I just spent there. They gave me the run around and tried to pass it from one person to the next till I finally gave up and paid it myself to keep my children safe. I'd never buy there again and wouldn't recommend them to anybody especially first time buyers. It was sitting in the mechanic for a week with there dealer tag on it. That ought to tell you everything you need to know.

How would you feel driving off the lot with a damaged vehicle that was sold as brand new? Three mins after signing the paperwork the deal was good until I get the keys to my car and did my final walk through to observe my new vehicle to find out at some point from leaving the truck to parking it out front my selected 2022 Telluride was damaged. There was a scratch, chips and scuffs all on the driver side. We were told we could file under our warranty even though the damage did not occur in our possession. The only solution offered was for me to file a claim under warranty let us repair it or cancel the deal. As a customer, the take it or leave it mentality seals the deal for me. I would think they would show some kind of ownership of the issue and appreciation to the customers time and money that was spent to show good faith in the business deal that was just made and for the future. Once they had the deal made they were done and it's on to the next. With no initiative to make things right for the transgression. Now don't get me wrong the rest of the transaction was good or salesperson "Magic" was great. The higher ups, I won't name names, made this deal turn sour when they said this is all we're going to do(make claim) the vehicle will be sold tomorrow it's not a big deal take it or leave it. there was no accountability for the damage that was made by a serra employee. or any initiative to keep the business deal that was made. The general manager was rude, disrespectful, and showed no empathy for the customer. He interrupted my wife and me, got loud with my wife, and showed no sense of "How can I make this right?" It was only after my wife stated we would return the vehicle and I discussed the good faith we expected, did the general manager have "solutions". We will never do business with with ANY Serra Automotive Group dealership again.

Our passenger side mirror was broken in an accident. My wife bought the glass to replace it but we could not figure out how to get it on to save our lives. Bo, the Master Parts Tech, told us to bring our van to the dealership and let him look at it. He got the mirror on in a matter of seconds and didn t even charge us. This will be our home dealership from now on! Thanks Bo!

(Long, but a cautionary tale.) My family and I spent five hours at this dealership on a Saturday, and we were left sad and surprised at the staff s lack of professionalism. I came in prepared, knowing what I wanted, but after driving a Sportage X-Line, we decided to look at an EX at another dealership. The X-Line was more than we wanted to spend, with it being listed $5,000 above MSRP in addition to add-on options. We were told by the sales team leader that they would get it in our budget, and we spent hours going back and forth to make that happen. We finally agreed on terms, my husband signed a contract and they ran his credit report. They came back, told us congratulations and then went to get the car detailed so we could leave our trade-in and drive our new car off the lot. While waiting to sign the paperwork, it was nice to feel a sense of relief. It was the first new car we ve purchased, and there were tears knowing we would be keeping our 10-year-old safer on the road. (The main reasons we wanted a new car are the modern safety features.)That feeling was short lived, once they discovered we still owed money on our trade-in, something we told THREE DIFFERENT SALESMEN in the first three hours we were there. Since this raised the monthly payment $150, we were handed back the keys to our trade-in, given a feeble apology, and told that they hoped another dealer could help us. We felt so dismissed in the moment, without even an offer to meet us somewhere in the middle after leading us on for hours.I am human, I understand error, and I give grace. So it was their attitude in the moment that I am struggling with. Had it not been so sudden and without real explanation, with the person we were working with walking out of the room without the slightest of discussion, we might have been able to negotiate a higher monthly payment. (Something I am both regretting, but also relishing, since I didn t give them any of my money.)There have been a lot of tears of frustration over the weekend, and maybe even a little from loss. I fell for the car, and have pictured driving my family around in it since we rented a newer car while on vacation. My gut told me once driving both trim models to go for the EX, as it was more financially practical, but I let them convince me my ideal was possible. They would have saved us all stress and wasted time if they had just heard that important detail from the beginning.I m researching comparable brands as an option, but do still see us leasing or buying a Sportage. It just won t be from the Serra organization. In addition to a hard credit inquiry on our report, we can t believe the lack of knowledge and accountability, plus the little care we were shown by KIA employees.

I've been a loyal customer at Serra Kia for 7 years, and my previous review was full of praise. However, over the last 1-2 years, my experience has turned into a nightmare due to noticeable changes in their service department. I've encountered neglect, subpar work necessitating 3 return visits in just 60 days, and extremely unsatisfactory customer service. I've spent over $3k in less than 1 year on issues that seemed to arise out of nowhere after they suggested replacing an axle, that had previously not been an issue. I approved the replacement (it took 3 times to get right) but problems have persisted since then, even though I never had any prior issues as the car is still somewhat young and in great condition considering how long they typically last since they are well made.To make matters worse, they've misplaced items multiple times and seem to have improperly reattached and left off simple and integral parts to my car, leading to a potentially life-threatening situation. Despite being the only ones with access to those parts (which they agreed with), they have avoided taking responsibility and shown lack of concern. I m my opinion, their lack of understanding of customer service is evident, and their claim of being faultless doesn't hold up given their factual shortcomings in organization, work quality, and previous oversights like lost items.I strongly advise against getting your car serviced at this location, even for basic tasks like oil changes. I've had to return three times in just 60 days for such a simple service. Instead, consider a locally owned repair shop where they truly value their customers and their reputation. The independent shops put in the effort to ensure accurate work and maintain transparency, building trust with their customers. The work and customer service quality that the Serra Kia department once possessed seems to have vanished, and unfortunately, they appear uninterested and not concerned in restoring it, which is quite disheartening.
