We we're in a bad spot and Mr. Hoss was so nice and understanding. He got our car fixed at a reasonable price and he could have put the screws to us but was a good honest man and I'd be glad to take him my business if I lived closer. He took very good care of us even after we stopped him from eating his lunch.Thanks again Hoss Automotive

Phillip and his son run the best shop around. Have used them for decades. Great service and they both possess a great amount of knowledge, especially electrically related. So very helpful.

Possibly I caught Philip at a bad time but I have never been treated so rudely. I needed a very small job done. I didn't care about the price. I was told we don't do this type of work (drilling a hole in a trailer hitch). When I asked Philip to at least take a look, he told me to get out ??? within about 3 minutes. I ran a shop for over 40 years and now have Lou Gehrig s disease. I am unable to do even simple things. I was amazed at the hostility. All I can say is wow.

Great service with my tune up but that wasnt the source of my car problem. Unfortunately the dealership can only fix the problem. :(

As always Philip and his whole crew did what it took to get me back on the road. They were professional and friendly. Their knowledge regarding my car was exceptional. They also helped me to understand exactly what went wrong with my car. I would tell any of my friends to go their to get their car fixed.

Recently they repaired my 2002 F150 and I couldn't ask for better service. The turnaround time was much faster than I expected and the quality of work was excellent. They were upfront and honest and communicated very well. A+

On second thought, after sending $1,900 on parts and labor for my 1965 Cadillac Coupe. I found that I never got the tune up or repairs that I paid for. Basically, all I got was battery. The car was tuned, carburetor was still clogged up to the point it was wielded to the engine. I still had to install a new a carburetor, starter, wires, plugs, etc.

O'Reilly's auto in fultondale referred me.... I needed freeon in my 2003 Ford expedition Eddie Bauer, made one phone call to Hoss automotive, spoke with Mr Phillips,...boom....it was done! Excellent customer service, friendly staff, good prices, professional and quality service, down home people!! We broke down in Fultondale and have never had to have any repairs done before, I chose Hoss based on their reviews and I m happy to say they did not disappoint. They kept in touch with me every step of the way and my van was repaired the very next day. Everyone was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I will happily take my cars here for routine maintenance and any future repairs we may need.

Took my Nissan Titan in because of a starting problem. Was told it could be a starter, battery or ignition problem. Left it at 8:30 a.m. did not get a return call all day. Next day I called them at noon to find out if it was ready. He said it starts right up every time they tried it but if it does it again to bring it back in. They did no actual work on the vehicle, could Not locate a common issue, and charged me $60.00 for electronic testing . Also did not change oil or rotate tires as requested per my initial visit. Waste of time and money

I took my classic there on a number of occasions. Its 1982 Corvette. Each time it was supposed to be done. I picked it up and it was worse than when I brought it there. After spending close to $2000.00 dollars. I finally got it back and its still not right. In addition the water temp gauge don't work any more. I called them and they wanted to bring it back so they could replace the gauge. I found the wire disconnected and the lead wire hidden in the wiring harness. When the engine cooled down. I connected and like magic the gauge worked. Beware

Very Timely work was good had some problem with details didn't tighten down my positive terminal it would come right off. Didn't put my plug wires back in the holder all in all good work.

They do good work here but you have to be careful, if he sees something else that needs repair they will do it and charge you for it without your approval. So you may end up paying several hundred dollars extra than you wanted to.

Hoss Automotive is the best place in Gardendale to get your car fixed up. I've only been there twice and they've done everything in their power to make sure I was satisfied and on the road again as soon as possible.
