I thought I just needed transmission fluid fill up & took it to Gardendale Wholesale for inspection & repair. I received a phone call that afternoon advising I need spark plugs & a tune up- I was expecting a huge bill but it was very reasonable. I was very pleased with the service, the efficiency & the friendly staff. I would definitely use them again. My car purrs like a cat.

They could have easily charge me for a new transmission but repaired the one I had at a fraction of the cost. Very honest

My transmission failed, I searched the Internet for transmission shops in the area, I found Gardendale Wholesale Transmission. I liked his website and the reviews posted on Google. The tow truck driver tried to convince me to take my vehicle to another shop because Gardendale Wholesale Transmission was only open 3 days a week. I read a handful of customers reviews, I didn t read anywhere in the reviews,people were not happy. Even though I didn t know anyone in this town, I trusted what others had to say about Gardendale Wholesale Transmission. Brennon kept me informed along the way. I had my transmission serviced there. I know the owner is from a Christian background.I prefer doing business with my Christian Brothers in Christ.I just had a powersterring pump, upper and lower sterrig shafts and rack and pinion gear installed. Everything is in working order and restored. Honest and reliable work.I'm still using this place of business as recently as 11/7/2023.All my repairs are done here and done right.Honest people to do business with no doubt.I give them all the stars as allowed as approval.

In all my years this is the most honest mechanic I've ever had. Quoted a great price for a list of services I need. Returning on Monday. Praise God for this company. Returned on Monday and my car is in tip top shape. These folks are great!! Dropped my vehicle off for transmission work. Ended up in the hospital. Called Brandon several time to reassure him I was coming back for the car and always made me feel at ease and not to worry. I'm out, got car runs great!! Thanks GWT.

I ve used these guys several times over the years for clutches and a couple slave cylinders. They have always been honest, amazing to deal with, and quick to get the work done. Most recently, I was having some transmission issues with my Corvette. I dropped it off hoping it would be a simple fix. They spent the day with the car, put it up on the lift and determined that the transmission would eventually need a rebuild. Knowing the price was more than I would want to spend on a car of that age, they suggested I should get what I could out of the current transmission and look for a low mileage used transmission to save money. They also didn t charge me for their diagnosis and the time they spent with my car. Who does that? Exactly, nobody. I have two cars that will need a clutch soon and there is no doubt where I ll be taking them to get the work done.Service: Transmission

I m so happy I found this place! I will definitely be returning and I will tell other Uber drivers and others about your service. It s very hard to find a knowledgeable mechanic and now I think I found that and honesty! This is without a doubt the best mechanic shop I have ever used in my 58 years. Brannon, Scott and the whole crew are knowledgeable and capable of conquering anything. I have a car that most shops that I took it to would not work on. I don't understand why but whatever. Gardendale transmission has been working on it for years and I have not had any repeat issues. The honesty and integrity that they have and the measures they will go through to do what's best for the customer and your vehicle are amazing to say the least.

These people are about top quality work and live up to that standard. We've always have had great work with understanding to help us at the last min. bring our autos in for repairs because my wife and I are handicapped and have to wait white the repairs are done. If you need repairs you'll find no better people to deal with along with top work in what they do.

This transmission shop has an extremely honest owner named Brennan. They do excellent quality repair work on transmissions and torque converters and related. While driving home from work the other day, my truck went into limp mode and was stuck in third gear. I went online once i made it home to find a locale transmission shop to take a look at it and decided to take it to Gardendale Wholesale Transmission based off reviews only. I'm glad that I did. I dropped it off Monday expecting it to be a day or so before I would be contacted with the dreaded news that I would need a new transmission. To my surprise, I was called about 15 minutes after I had arrived home with good news, the transmission relay failed and would be repaired and ready for pickup by the end of the day. I know that not everyone will be as fortunate as I was with such a simple fix, but the fact that they didn't try the old bait and switch and sell me a bunch of unneeded repairs was a Godsend. I will definitely be taking all my vehicles here for repair in the future based only on the owner's honesty and character. I almost forgot to add that the cost to repair my vehicle was really reasonable also. Thanks again Brannon, I appreciate your help.

Brannon and his team are just awesome. For me, the first thing I look for in a shop is honesty, the second is fairness. These guys have both.... And more. If you are looking for someone to give you an honest assessment and do the work at a fair price, look no further.

Brannan and his staff are great! My father-in-law was driving my wife's vehicle while she was visiting them one weekend when it made a loud noise and quit pulling. Fearing the worst, someone told me about this shop. I called Brannan and inquired about the cost of a transmission rebuild. He told me the estimate, but suggested possibly replacing it with a used one (with warranty) which was much less costly than rebuilding the one in it. As it turns out, it wasn't the transmission at all. It was a defective axle which had recently been replaced elsewhere. He replaced it and covered the core charge, sending the defective part back to me so I could get my money back on it. He could have taken advantage of the situation with my being out of town and sold me something more expensive that I didn't need, but didn't do that at all. I very much appreciate his honesty and would take something to him again in a heartbeat!

I took my 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 over there on a Sunday, and parked it outside the gate came back on Monday am, and told them what it was doing with not shifting while it was in Drive........Figured it would take a couple of days, and BRANNON called me at 11am, and said he thought the could have it fixed before end of the day! Talk about fast service! Turned out it wasn't a major problem like I thought it was something they found by running a diagnostic on my truck.......They repaired it, and I was driving my truck home on Monday evening! Will be taking all my problems to them in the future! Oh yeah I paid over the phone, and picked up my truck after they closed!

The transmission on my 2008 Ford Edge was rebuilt on 2/15/2018. The warranty was 18 Months or 18K Miles. We only drove it occasionally as a third vehicle. Today, 12/21/2020 it stalled in the middle of the road. I managed to get it to another shop and was told I needed a transmission after 23000 miles. The invoice states that the transmission and torque converter were rebuilt , Labor 1955.00, Fluids 85.00 parts 1100.00 and Tax 110.00. Total 3250.00. If you have a 2008 Ford Edge, BUY A REMANUFACTURED TRANSMISSION with TWICE the warranty. I tried to call the shop, no answer and voicemail is not setup on their telephone line. I will post some pictures as the transmission is disassembled.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Brannon the owner is honest and kind and doesn't rip people off like some do. My sister has used them for years and I have twice and each time he bent over backwards to help us any way he could. I recommend them to everyone I know.

Great service got the trans fixed when no one else could. And did not charge me an arm and a leg!! Definitely have earned my respect and any future business. Nice to know a honest business still exists!!

I live in Calera and was recommended Brannon shop even though it was a long drive it more than worth the drive. I got a quick check of the problem and the cost which I was very satisfied about. I will highly recommended him to anyone with Transmission problems
