The guy named Colby/kolby (I believe that is his name) rudest guy ever! If you have a problem with females asking you a question about a vehicle then don't be working there buddy! Take some pointers from Toby who is very respectful every time I come. Won't be coming back though or buying if Colby/kolby is working. He needs to be fired.

Went in today to SWAP the Bosch plugs bought a year ago.Turns out they are NOT for my vehicle.No wonder I've had a slight misfire for a year.At first the lady was not very nice at all.I told her I was sold the wrong plugs for my truck ...Showed the receipt from a year ago and left it up to her to do the right thing.First she was not willing to SWAP out the mistake but then changed her mind ...She looked up the right plugs for my truck and all I paid was the difference in plug price....I took her the Bosch plugs back a few days later and everything is square as far as I'm concerned.

I had a great experience yesterday with the two gentlemen that were working. I was looking to deep clean a car I had bought from my daughter. they helped me get all of the things that I needed to do it like a professional. If you're looking to really take care of the inside and outside of your vehicle go talk to the guys at advance Auto parts.

Best place around to buy parts. Been shopping here for years never had any problems. They are all super nice and if they don't have something in stock they can get it for you pretty quickly. I work on a lot of custom builds that require some creativity to find parts that will fit them and the crew at this location always comes through for me.

Avoid the Warrior store at all cost. Go down the road to Napa or to O'Reilly. They act like they're doing you a favor to wait on you. They make it hard to return parts for warranty replacement like it's their money they're having to give back.

If I could give a less rating on this I would. This is purely from the customer services. Almost all workers are extremely rude and have no customer services training. A simple question is handled in a rude and passive manner. They complain about everything and will complain about you and your purchase to your face. Especially dealing with returning items. They will say it isn't policy to take something back and complain the entire time about said return while still doing the return. It makes no sense; if the policy says I can't return something open, why do they still let me return it? There either breaking policy, or there's actually no policy, and it's just something they say and use to complain about the return. Honesty, I don't want to hear it. This has happened several times and I have yet to have a worker that wasn't rude to me.

Just as decent as any other Advanced Auto I guess. This location gets five stars for one main reason... Customer service!I've been greeted at auto shops before, even received service that was exceptional once making it to the counter. However, in my visit here, though I was looking for something simple and would've gotten what I needed eventually... An employee walked the aisle, approached me and offered to come to the front to look up my item quicker than I would've tracked it down on my own. Unnecessary gesture, but one I really appreciated in that moment. If you're at work... Be active and do some work! Whether this person was having a bad day or not, I couldn't tell. They were there to work and did so with a smile.

This particular store has its challenges as many other businesses. Customer Service training is not a requirement but perhaps personality will be all that is needed. I needed 2 very specific items as soon as possible. So rather than order online and wait. Advanced Auto in Gardendale had them both in stock, according to its online website. I walked in and was able to locate one item on my own. I needed help locating the second item and I made my way to the counter where an employee was near. As I approached she made her way to the computer. Stood there for about 30 seconds and she said, "Morning, are you ready?" I said, morning and no. I need help locating ......I stated the exact name. The employee said, I dont know what that is. I began to describe it and then they pointed to an isle where it sounded similar to others. That employee made zero effort to show me. I couldn't find it and said, I'm not sure where to look. They said, well I don't know what it is so I can't help you. I said, well I found it online according to the website. And she said, use your phone and pull it up. I said, well this is new and I thought you could pull it up on the computer. The employee said, no you can use your phone since you know what it is. Then a second employee walked in and she told that person to help me. He showed him the same photo as I did show the other employee and he seemed happy to walk me to the item. Simple. He did what I was expecting, assist with a smile. The other employee has no business working there. Refusal to look up an item nor make an effort to look down the isle she pointed out. I prefer not to patronize this location but they were the only auto parts store in the area with what I needed. I make all attempts to avoid this store. Paul should consider replacing employees who do not want to help serve the public. No excuses.Follow Up- the next day I decided to express my concern and spoke with the manager. He was very polite and professional. Sadly, he repeated what many have to do today. He stated, she is only a driver and they need her to help. This was the excuse for her to perform as such. The manager apologies but gave no words to invite me back or seemed to really care. Sounds like his hands are tied and he will just have to deal with the poor performance. The employees are often a reflection of who is in management and the training and expectations of the business.

Recently moved to gardendale attempted to use the auto zone across the street tonight but could barely get them to acknowledge me so I went across the street to advanced. As soon as I entered the door at advanced they welcomed me and both staff members were eager to help me find what I needed. They went above and beyond to be kind and helpful. As a new local they have earned my loyalty as a customer moving forward.

I was ready to make a purchase and had to wait for several minutes while the one and only associate in the store helped another customer who obviously couldn't decide what he wanted. I just feel like customers who are ready to pay and go should be checked out while the indecisive customer make up their mind.

Had a battery problem and they were very helpful. Check my car to make sure nothing else was going on. Efficiently installed a new battery and I was gone in less than 30 minutes. They have always been nice and their store is always clean and neat.

I want to get my battery checked and the manager had a bad attitude.then i aske if he could check my check engine light and he rolled hes eyes and acted like he did not want yo do it . I toll him not to worry about it idd go somewhere else. Will never shop there again.

Not sure the 2 ladies names that worked there tonight. They were extremely helpful and answered any questions. Because of them we will absolutely be using this Advance Auto Parts Store!!!

Sorriest customer service ever!!!! Young lady behind the counter was rude, disrespectful and smartalec. I am not new to the auto repair business and have used this store before with great results. I hope this issue gets addressed before they lose more business.

Good selection and rarely are they out of stock on the parts I need. I typically purchase online and pick up in store. This is my go to store for automotive parts
