Their work I here is good. They have done a couple of things for me but, I can never get anyone to answer the phone. I have left messages and no one returns my call. I feel like my money is no good.I would love to use them more but I don't want have to show up to make an appt.

I have used gulf coast auto repair in the past. This time I screwed up and took my truck to another mechanic and they messed it up even more than it was before it went to their shop. I ended up taking it to Steven at Gulf Coast auto repair who did an amazing job. I ended up needing the engine rebuilt. He did it at a very reasonable price. After getting it back to me the starter went out. He was able to replace it the same day. Amazing work. I will never take my vehicles anywhere elseService: Engine repair

Great service! Very helpful and honest with what needed to be done. The owner was beyond great with everything. Not to mention- fast service! Quote for everything was accurate and prices were reasonable. It s never a good time having to get work done in your vehicle while on vacation, but we were so glad we found this shop! They went above and beyond! Definitely recommend these guys!

I was referred to this place after I had wasted money and time trying to get my vehicle fixed at another shop. I had been told to take take my vehicle to a dealer, that a dealer was my only option in finding a resolution to fix my problem. The closest dealer was an hour away and since I had already taken time away from work I could not afford to waste any more money! So I called Gulf Coast Auto Repair. The ad stated they worked on foreign vehicles and since they had a 5 star rating I decided to give them a try. I spoke with Stephen and he was so nice. I told him about the issues I was having and he seemed to be confident that he could fix my vehicle. He was very accommodating and got me scheduled right away. He looked at my vehicle and within a short period of time knew what the problem was. He was up front and honest with me about the cost and repairs. I am very happy with the work that was done. Stephen was very professional and knowledgeable in his experience as a mechanic. I will certainly trust to use this shop again for services. It was a very pleasant experience!

I had Gulf Coast Auto Repair replace the timing belt and service the A/C on my Honda Ridgeline. Great service. Steven was very professional and offered great communication. The pricing was right in line with what I expected after doing some research. I ve driven the truck about a week now and have no complaints with the service at all. Steven was extremely helpful. My shut down going down the road on a Monday afternoon. I had my car towed to his shop based on the reviews I had seen on here. Needless to say I wasn't let down. He quickly identified the problem and gave me 2 different repair options and explained the pros and cons of the lesser repair if I chose that option. I authorized repairs on Wednesday afternoon and had my car back by Thursday afternoon which was much faster than I anticipated due to the amount of business he has. Overall I would highly recommend Steven and Gulf Coast Auto Repair

My family has been customers of GCA for at least a year or more and we have been really pleased with their services. They always do a great job and give us the best price they can. Steven is a great mechanic that has always been honest & fair with us. Very hard qualities to find in a mechanic.

Gulf Coast Auto has worked on my vehicles a few different times. We're snowbirds here, staying for a few months and I'm glad we found a company that we're happy bringing our vehicles to get any repairs done as needed. Thanks for being a great guy Steven and helping us as we've needed so far! The owner Steven is down to earth and honest. I've been back several times for major work and repairs. He's help to keep my high mileage vehicle on the road and safe. He worked on my wife's truck, same great experience.

Both my dad and I have had work done on multiple vehicles at Gulf Coast Auto Repair. Every time Steven has been more than a pleasure to do business with. He does great work at a good price and will go out of his way to help you. If you want a mechanic with integrity, Steven is the guy to go see.

From out of town when car developed steering pump issue. Steven provided excellent service from top to finish. Communicated thoroughly and in a timely matter on diagnosing problem and costs and labor involved. Price was fair and work done took care of the pump issue within a more than reasonable timeframe. Great experience and honesty was highly appreciated.

They keep all my vehicles in tip top shape from my wife's BMW to our work vans. They always seem to be the best value and trust me I am a shopper. I would recommend them to anyone. I just bought my first set of tires from them now that they are selling tires and they saved me $150 bucks! Great service and price. Thanks guys!

Fantastic staff. The owner is very honest, straightforward, and won t put on a $400 part if it doesn t require it like the filthy type of mechanics that talk down to you cause you don t kno what s what on your car with their dirty hands all over your car. Steven and his crew keep a clean, well organized shop and he speaks to you like a person should. Tactful and professional and I say again, they don t treat you like a dumb person. Those things mean a lot to me personally. 5 stars I d recommend them all day. Also he is vet friendly, being one himself. Thank you Steven and gulf coast auto repair

Steven and Jerry couldn't have been more patient and helpful! They took the time to diagnose and explain my Volkswagen engine issue and immediately ordered the parts needed to get it fixed. They are a busy repair shop but still take the time to offer me several options and make sure that I understand the pricing. They even solved my minor tire wiggle problem with no charge - even though I had purchased the tires . elsewhere. If you need a reliable honest repair shop, this is it!

No one wants to completely blow an engine, especially the week before Christmas, but finding Gulf Coast Auto Repair was the best decision we made. We have an older Jeep that we tow behind our 40' Motor Home and it was left in gear during a tow doing serious damage to every part of the engine. We called around and four of the five places could not even order a new engine or start on it till after the new year. Stephen said he would do his best to have us up and running by Christmas and he did. He replaced the engine, and all the parts, and did a remarkable job. He is very patient, kind and knowledgeable. It was a very tough job, but he did it well and got us back on the road. The price was fair and I only wish I lived in the area so he could become my go-to mechanic. I highly recommend Gulf Coast Auto Repair.

My check engine light came on and my engine was lurching when I accelerated. I took it in and he diagnosed within minutes. He fixed the problem immediately. Brought in my Tacoma after letting it sit for a couple of years with a few issues. Shop put on some much needed new tires, a set of brakes, and front wheel bearing, all for less than another shop quoted for just the tires. Very knowledgeable. The first person to correctly identify the replacement bearing needed after calling around to several shops. As mentioned in other reviews, he wont try to talk you into repairs you don't need and explains in detail when he does think something needs to be done. I usually DIY smaller repairs, but this place is my new go to shop for the jobs that need a real pro. I've got 3 more vehicles that will likely be spending some time in this shop soon.

I called Stephen at Gulf Coast Auto Repair about my cars trunk latch being broken and he was extremely helpful. I went to the shop and within a few minutes they figured out what was wrong and got the part ordered for me. They have excellent customer service. I'm definitely referring this place to everyone!

I was having some issues with my doors and transmission on one of my work vehicle's. Stephen was able to get me right in. Doors were repaired and he was able to remedy the situation with the transmission for a fraction of what I was thinking the cost would be. We will be using Gulf Coast Auto Repair for all our company vehicle needs.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance

I first came to this shop a year ago because of the 5 star rating on google reviews. Steve was very nice and seemed competent to be able to do the work on my car. He was able to get to work quickly, and every time he did work he was able to get my car back to me either the next day or the day after. His fee was always more than average, but I was willing to accept this because of the quick turnaround time and honest mechanic work.It is dishonesty and incompetence that has driven me to leave 1 star for this business. My car had a cracked radiator replaced last month by gulf coast auto repair. When I got it back, I realized that my bumper/ grill was rattling when it reached 35 mph. I popped the hood and realized that 8 bolts/ nylon rivet fasteners were missing. Also, there was a huge hole in the top of my antifreeze overflow reservoir where it must have been damaged during the process of replacing the radiator. Nothing was ever mentioned to my wife who picked it up while i was out of town, or to me on the phone about the damaged reservoir.Just a few weeks ago, my wife's van started making a horrible screeching sound from the rear brakes. We had the brake pads and rotors replaced on the rear with gulf coast auto repair 1 year prior. With the recent bad experience I had, we took the van to a different local mechanic to see what was causing the noise. The new mechanic said whoever replaced the brakes and rotors forgot to grease the joints of the calipers, causing the caliper slide pins to seize, which caused premature and uneven wear on the brake pads. There was also evidence of years worth of wear on the rotors, which means the rotors were never replaced, but we were charged for new ones. The new mechanic replaced the rotors and the pads for close to half the price of gulf coast auto repair, and in the same day.There is one more experience that involves a wheel bearing replacement that didn't seem so bad at the time, but now after these 2 horrible experiences, I suspect dishonest work and overcharging.So if you want to be overcharged and have your vehicle damaged, take it to gulf coast auto repair. I will be taking my business someplace else. I'm very upset about the overcharging, but most upset about the bad mechanic work that caused my wife's van to become dangerous to drive. If you want to maintain a reliable vehicle to haul you and your loved ones, don't give this place your hard earned dollars.

I can't say enough good about this place. A couple years back he fixed something on my daughter's car that the dealership said was unfixable. More recently he did major repairs -- and I mean major and extensive-- QUICKLY and charged us less than his estimate. He also stayed in touch and explained everything. He'll be doing all our work from now on.

Transmission started acting up on the way to gulf shores from Michigan called several shops (7)before Steve said he would take on the job many said they don t work on Toyota s and others said they re to busy Steve got us right in and we had our truck back in 3 days and we made it back to Michigan without any issues very trustworthy honest work I appreciate them getting it done in the time they did very impressive thx again Steve you the man!!!!!Service: Transmission
