Beware and don t do business! Held my car for 11 weeks and got the runaround countless time! Said they could not do the work after 11 weeks. Had to tow it again because of the lies and disrespect for people! I will be calling the better business bureau to report!

My daughter's Volkswagen Passat was very thoroughly inspected, and the techs listened to me intently and answered any question I had - no matter how dumb it was. They sent very clear and concise repair options for me to choose from, with coinciding prices, and completed the job in a reasonable amount of time considering how difficult it was to receive car parts in a timely manner. They checked on how the vehicle was doing after a period of time and still keep in touch with us by mail/email/text - often sending discounts on future repairs. I definitely recommend these guys! :)

If I could give a 0 star, I would. Listen guys and gals. This is the first time I ve brought my self to write a review about a business. HEED MY WARNING. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE LOOKING FOR A TIMELY REPAIR. If you have a vehicle that is currently here, I advise you pick your vehicle up ASAP. If you heard a rumor about this place. It is more than likely true. I brought them my 2011 Audi S5 to have a transmission issue looked at and hopefully fixed. I BROUGHT IT TO THEM ON OCTOBER 9th!! The guy (I think his name was Steven) told me they re booked up and short handed, understandable. And that it would be 3 weeks before they can take a look at it. No problem. I waited a whole month before calling and checking up on my car to see if they have diagnosed it. (They have not) I m a pretty patient guy so I said no problem I was talking to the owner then who seemed like a good dude the first time I talked to him, he said it would be about 2 more weeks due to the short staff situation, fine. 2 weeks go by and I call and see if they ve gotten closer to my slot in line and they have not. I was told it would be next week, that there were 4 cars ahead of me and they should get mine diagnosed by the end of next week. Frustratedly I said okay and waited. Called the next week because it has been over a month with no answer to what the problem is. And was met with attitude on the phone. Chalked it up as a bad day and let them do their thing. GUYS, this went on week after week until today, December 27th. OVER 3 WHOLE MONTHS of my car being there without being touched or moved from its spot, I gave up and went to pick up my car to take somewhere else (Precision Auto Tune in Decatur) They claim that it was next in line for a lift but I just can t bring myself to believe it due to the runaround I was given for that long. The owner or manager should have called me 4 weeks in and told me it would be a while before they could get to it. And if I wanted to come get it and take it somewhere else that I should. Not lie to me and tell me when to expect something and not deliver. I won t be back to this business and neither will none of the people I know or work with.TL;DRDon t do business with this shop unless you have other vehicles and don t care. They will keep your car in the lot jail to rot away and not get diagnosed for a LONG time and the repairs would take even longer. And if you re waiting on a car to be finished. Don t hold your breath and just go get it and take it elsewhere.

They took awhile for my car to be fixed. After I received my car back it still wasn t fixed. Took it back for them to repair the problem and it took another 3 weeks. The nice part they found another problem and said it wasn t covered under the warranty because it was a different problem after complaining about having to dish out more money the owner agreed to fix it without charging me.

I called into this autoshop looking for some help with an issue with my F150, I talked with the owner who was super friendly and very helpful. He was able to give me a ballpark price and let me know he was booked up for the next three weeks. He said he would be happy to do the work, but if I needed it done sooner, he recommended me to a friend of his, who also runs a mechanic shop not to far off. It's nice to have friendly mechanics that are also friends with other shops that will refer work.

Knowledgeable, thorough, and professional. Don't go if you're looking for a quick fix. They will inspect everything and it's definitely not done in a day and occasionally not in a week. You just have to decide if you want a quality fix or a fast fix! Can definitely be trusted with the majority of foreign car issues!

Posted in 2018. My Mercedes-Benz was repaired at a much lower cost than a dealership would have charged. A free detailed inspection worth $79.95 and a AAA discount applied saved an additional $129.95. The car was ready to go at the time estimated and is running perfectly. I highly recommend this business.Posted Oct, 2019. I took my Mercedes in for brake repair but unfortunately the parts did not arrive in time for the repair to be done by the weekend. I needed to use it that weekend and since it was not dangerous to drive I was allowed to pick it up, used it, returned it to the shop and it was repaired immediately. I am a very satisfied regular customer.February 2020: I had a thermostat replaced and was allowed to drive the car while the parts were ordered. I left the car late in the evening that the parts arrived and the car was repaired by noon the next day. I am a satisfied repeat customer.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Parts place sent the wrong radiator hose, car had to be kept an extra day. The shop not only apologized but discounted the labor cost because of the delay. I appreciated the courtesy of this act.

Way too overpriced and ended up needing more work done after they were supposed to do a full inspection on the vehicle & repair major issuesWhen I came back to have them address why the car they had just worked on had a squeaking noise immediately after I drove it, they tried to blame it on dust in the vehicle instead of taking ownership for the issue. Turns out I was having water pump issues, which is a huge safety concern to have ignored and deemed from dust

They don't deserve any stars! Somehow they are able to remove their worst reviews, which is another indictment against the shop as well as search engine. I had taken the time to have my Volvo serviced and everything was checked out to ensure it was in excellent running condition before moving to the area; however, once my car arrived, it had been damaged underneath causing an oil leak. Panicking, I had gotten the car towed to the closest place I could find, with unfortunately was Schneider's. I had called and communicated the information about my car and instructed only the oil leak should be repaired. However, picking up the car, I was informed of the cost, which was over $2000, and told they needed to do "additional work." The first thing they had done was fill my car with premium oil and watch it run out to verify I had an oil leak--as if they couldn't see the fine line already present. They also did minor things my car didn't need to have done, but wanted to gouge me for another small fortune for additional "work." I had purchased the car for $8000 and dealt paid for every repair it required--and it had every single issue possible associated with that year/model. So, moving away from skilled mechanics accustomed to working on foreign cars who never overcharged me--especially since they knew I was disabled--to having to deal with this horrendous business, I knew I could not trust that my car hadn't been tampered with to deliberately cause engine problems. As a result, I was forced to get rid of the car, and have been left without transportation. Avoid this place!!!

At first I was not going to do a review. I felt there was a discrepancy In what i was quoted vs what i was charged. Therefore, decided to email a reply to Jim. Within 24 hours Jim called me & said he had reviewed my bill & understood where I felt the over charged was. He actually refunded me the difference between the quote & the charge. My wife took our Mercedes GL 450 in for a windshield wiper motor/unit that had malfunctioned. The staff was beyond helpful, made the repair, and didn't charge her a penny. I appreciated how they handled the situation, treated my wife, and dealt with the repair honestly and fairly. They've acquired a customer for life and I will always recommend their services and take our cars there for service. Excellent experience!!!

I recently had another repair at Schneider's and as always they are honest and fair dealing. They recommend services, but never pressure customers into having them performed. I have 2 BMWs and I trust Schneider with both. Amazing service!! I took my Volvo s40 by Schneider Autohaus while visiting from out of town - Jim was incredibly helpful, personable, and very generous in sharing information about my vehicle with me that he thought could be beneficial in the future. These guys are great. They have worked on a couple of vintage British cars for me and have been great to work with. They seem to really enjoy seeing my cars and taking care of them. Jim has always been up front with me about costs of repairs. He has also repaired my Ford F-150. Thanks guys

2240 dollars and five weeks later and still the car isn't fixed. I was told if didn't like it I could get my car. This is a shop that swaps parts until they get it correctly. If you need your car fixed, and not just a basic oil change I would go elsewhere.Update: I did reach out to the owner on several occasions. Emails are available for anyone to read. I also reached out to better business bureau, but they are not a member. Check their reviews on Facebook and elsewhere where they haven't been doctored up.

They're very nice people and seem to be honest, but the prices drove me away. They wanted almost 500 bucks for a part I got from the dealership in Huntsville for 180. Labor is pretty high as well.EDIT: In response to the reply below, I do not use my real name on Google for privacy/security reasons. I took my Benz by there quite a while ago (I waited to post this review because I prefer to remain anonymous).

Jim and his staff are super prefessionals, more importantly, they are good people.I am a new customer to Schneider Autohaus, but, I feel extremely confident and even more comfortable to the prospect of being a longtime customer.I might be what you consider an out-of-state client, with business interests in northern Alabama...it's very comforting to know that I can depend on Jim and his team for service of my Audi S5. I am a very particular person, with a mechanically "clean" vehicle, and am quite pleased with the effort and performance that Schneider Autohaus has provided.I would expect and hope that you would have the same experience by trusting this shop with your "investment".Valued Customer

Charged us double the amount for a part as compared to the actual dealership. Needed a new a/c compressor and he wanted to charge us 1022$ just for the part that wasn t even a Mercedes brand part. The dealership only wanted 518$ for the part. I understand having a markup but not a 100% one. First thing out of his mouth was a talk about gaining our trust..should have walked out right then. Wouldn t refund the deposit right away either..wish I could leave zero stars.

Jim and his team has been our BMW service specialists for years. They do great work and it is completed in a timely matter. Steven his service manager is always polite and helpful. I highly recommend Schienders Autohaus for all your BMW repairs.

Work was preformed @ a fair price & done right the first time. Normally I do all my own mechanic work but I know nothing about forum cars. I took my BMW to them to fix & was well pleased. Would/will use them again. Their an honest shop.

I can only say thank you Jim . You An your staff did a fantastic job on my BMW . Your manager explained the complications of not following your recommendation on flushing the coolant system . Me not knowing that the coolant was not just any antifreeze ! He explained the long term effect on my engine . As far as the front end work .. My car has never run so well . Poor work. They supposedly fixed my vehicle in July, and by October is was throwing codes. I was told they have 2 years on their service. To fix what is wrong with it now is $14,000++.

Excellent service and very knowledgeable about the BMW brand. They can fix anything. Five stars for that. The four star rating is due to the cost. It s expensive. But at the end of the day, I suppose you get what you pay for. They have never failed me on a repair.

I found the staff very friendly even though they was very busy. I did compare prices to the dealership to find they are higher on some of the repairs they offered than the dealership. There prices do not include original OEM parts. To me it is more about cost and performance than convenience. If you are paying for convenience I believe they do quality work.

I have been using Schneider autohaus for about 5 years now for my BMW and Mercedes. They are much more economical that dealer and you get prompt service. I just found out today they will also work on my Ford pickup, One stop shopping on all vehicle repairs. I am very excited. They do superb work and keep you abreast of progress should it take longer than expected. Great team at Schneider Autohous. Give them a try. I promise you'll love them and the service.
