Wonderful service. What else can you ask for. My son attends UNA and I m not familiar with the area. He called me one night and said his car was overheating. Based off the reviews I chose R & J shop and had his car towed there. First they set a very reasonable expectation of when they would be able to look at it, which I appreciated. So when they called the same day and said the car was fixed. I was both pleasantly surprised and amazed. They told me exactly what had caused the problem, already had it fixed & at a great price. I m a fleet manager and manage several equipment shops. This type of service is hard to find anymore. I loved the honesty and even more importantly a repair that will stay with the life of the car. One less plastic piece.

Our vans starter went out and R&J Auto was so great about getting us in and out as quickly as possible and for the right price. Everywhere else in town was almost triple the price and had wait times of several weeks. Thank you for your quick and excellent service! We will definitely be using R&J in the future.

Finally a dependable and honest mechanic. I have wasted so much time and money at other locations while my son is attending college there. It's hard when they are over 2 hours away and vehicle breaks down. RandJ had solved that problem for me.My son's truck would not shift gears. He took it there and it was fixed and a brake job performed in 1 day. They called before repairing and confirmed problem. The cost was cheaper than previous minor repairs at other locations near UNA (see review on MEINEKE).

Fast service and good prices. My daughters car needed a new starter and less than an hour after getting towed to R and J I got a phone call they were already working on it. On a Saturday afternoon. No nonsense, straight to the point. Definitely will use R and J again.

Engine light came on just days before a trip and it was a thermostat issue. I picked R and J strictly based on google reviews and I m so glad I did. Trust those reviews guys!!! I told Lynn that I was going out of town and had to figure out if I was going to be able to use my vehicle or needed to come up with a plan B. Although he was super busy that day, He was able to squeeze me in and 2 hours after dropping my vehicle off he was calling to tell me it was ready. Extremely nice guy and very reasonable price. This gentleman just earned my business in the future and anyone else that I can steer in his direction!! If you need auto repairs, go see Lynn. You won t be disappointed!

From start to finish, this was a smooth and easy transaction. I called all around Florence to try and get somebody to fix my fuel pump. Everywhere tried to price gouge me EXCEPT for R and J Auto Repair. They set up a time for me to have my truck come in Monday morning and it was fixed by lunch, and I paid less than half of what everyone else quoted me. Thank you again for your EXCELLENT service and professionalism. This is now my go-to for ANY future auto work. Keep up the OUTSTANDING work guys!

Highly recommend R&J auto repair!We had just moved to the area and my husband s car, an 04 Honda accord, was having problems starting. Called R&JAuto Repair on Friday and was able to drop it off that afternoon. Lynn called saying starter needed to be replaced. He also checked and replaced the air filter and topped off the oil, which was 2 quarts low. The car was ready to go later that day!! Amazing, cheap, friendly service. Went in for a misfire and got my car back in less than 2 hours. Doesn't smell awful like most car shops and he had a smile the whole time and he explained everything in the nicest way possible. 10/10 will be going to R&J for all my vehicular needs

I can not say enough about the gentlemen at R&J. My daughter is a student at UNA and being away from home when car issues come up is stressful. But they have taken great care of her car like she was family. They do not mind giving info to Mom and Dad via a call and walking our daughter through what needs to happen and get her back on the road again. A+ service EVERY TIME! Ladies and Gentlemen,Lynn at R&J Auto Repair is as straight up as you are going to find, and he also came highly recommended by a good friend. After I told Lynn my issues he said just be patient and I will get you in. He got me in a lot quicker than I expected and had me back on the road in 3hrs. His knowledge, honesty and professionalism is second to none. He trusted me to come after hours and pick up my vehicle, and where to leave the check. It's refreshing to know there is someone out there with knowledge and that also knows what he is doing mechanically as well as what customer service means. I cannot recommend Lynn and R&J enough. He had my car diagnosed and fixed within 3 hours. I took my car for the same issue to Greenway Hyundai and they wanted triple what Lynn charged just to look at my car. Lynn has my business now for life. We love Lynn and will not take our cars anywhere else for repairs. He always gets us in as quickly as possible and has answers for us on the same day. No matter what, he's honest about what needs to be done to the vehicle. We value his expertise so much that we just bought a used car and are taking it to him first thing to look over and give us his approval & diagnostics. I was from out of town, had an issue with my vehicle. Called the garage explained what was going on. He stopped what he was doing and dealt with mine. In 30 minutes I was on my way to Georgia. R and J Auto Repair got us out of a pickle when our van broke down. Never having used R and J, I called the business and was answered right away. The owner and I had a brief conversation explaining the issue, and he told me he would take a look at it as soon as the tow truck arrived. He called me later that day to say that it was fixed (which I never expected, all in one day!), and told me what he found to be the problem. He was willing to answer more questions that I had about our van and his personal opinion about travelling with it. From a car that wouldn't turn over to sitting in our driveway again, ready-to-go that evening, I was impressed with R and J Auto Repair's promptness, customer service, and their work on our van. I will absolutely go there again with any mechanical issues with our vehicle!

The owner, Lynn, was very kind and extremely helpful. My daughter attends school at UNA and her car very suddenly wouldn t start yesterday. I called R&J based on their reviews and the owner answered. This was at 4:30 when they close at 5:00. He immediately met her down the road and was able to diagnose her problem. He got it running enough to drive to his shop and late this morning it was fixed. This could have been a very worrying and stressful situation that Lynn was able to fix quickly and he even threw in a car care maintenance talk with my daughter :)I highly recommend his shop for all you UNA parents and others out there. Thank you, Lynn!!

Had some belt squeal sounds with an original drive belt on my 20 year old car. Dropped off my car at 8:30, had a new drive belt on and ready by 10:30. Great experience.

Great customer service. We were expecting it would take a couple days to get our 4Runner fixed. A few hours later he called us back to pick it up. He was thorough with telling us exactly what was wrong with it and his price was more than reasonable

Called and ask could I have my car towed over? He said yes and I was back up and running in about two hours. Fast and friendly. Great service. We will being using them for all of our mechanical needs on our vehicles!!!!!

I went there to get my truck checked out, felt like it was slipping gears. Thought maybe I needed a tune up. He drove it for me and was honest with me told me that I just needed some sea foam that I can buy from the auto parts store. Told me not to dog the motor and I would be fine. Me being a young woman he didn t take advantage of my car knowledge, he saved me repair fees and helped me fix the problem on my own. Highly recommended!

We live an hour and a half away and my daughter attends UNA in Florence. She broke down and we had the car towed to R & J Auto. We explained that we knew no one over that way but desperately needed to get her back with transportation as soon as possible. He got right on it. Fixed the issues and charged us a very reasonable rate!!! Pure blessing that this place is honest and reliable. Not many of these left. Totally will use him for all her needs while she is in school there!!!

More than a year I know Mr.Cummins, his works never make me disappointed. He treats everybody well, from rich people to poor students. Me and my friends from UNA usually come to see him when our car got trouble.Strongly recommend for students, esspecially international student (Mr. Cummins is super duper friendly and patient to listen to you, so dont be afraid to talk to him when your car get anything weird) Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Brought my car in at 3pm on a Friday for a bad starter. There were two other cars ahead of me in line. Lynn called back at 6:30 the same night... My vehicle had been serviced and was ready for pick up. Friendly, professional, and timely.10/5 starsWill be back for future service.

called around 2 o clock in the afternoon needing my starter replaced immediately since i m a delivery driver for dominoes, lynn said he could get me in no problem! super nice guy very professional and got me a great deal too, will be back to see him for all my auto repair needs! highly recommend

Was over charged and double charged for an oil change. I took my car in asking for a diagnosis of why my car makes an unusual noise when I start the car up when turning the ignition. I also wanted an oil change and to see if it was necessary for a tune up. I was told that I could leave my car and when I arrive home he called and inform me that my car was ready. He told me I needed a new car and the only work on the car was an oil change. I was charged $174.00. I was taken advantage of because I'm a single, older woman.
