Rock Bottom has tinted three vehicles for me. They follow my directive on shade perfectly and each vehicle has held up to the crazy Alabama heat and NC winters. My SUV came with only the far rear windows tinted and they matched the tint extremely well on the remaining windows and sunroof. There was some bubbling on our last vehicle but in a matter of a few days, those were gone. Each time, it took them about half a day (or less) and they were very accurate in their time estimate. I felt pricing was on track with other quotes from around the area. I read some of the other reviews and if they are busy, some of the guys can be a bit short with chit chat, but honestly all I need is a fair price and a job well done. I see complaints on here but I have had six car tinted here no complaints. He always has me in and out ! Came in this morning for a front strip. I told Thomas I was short on time and he had me out in. 20 mins.

Took a brand new vehicle for window tinting. Back windows were scratched and deep cuts in glass from their service. Noticed a couple of days later and returned to Thomas to have a look, He admitted that it was their fault. They filed a claim with their insurance company and he told the adjuster that his staff did not do this. He told his insurance adjuster that a few days went by before I returned it so it was most likely vandalism. Their insurance deemed it as vandalism. This place is shady and did a trouble job not to mention damaged the side and back glass on a 50k dollar vehicle. I advise you not to use this place.Service: Vehicle window tinting

We had a very bad experience. The tint that was placed the first time bubbled up so he said he would replace it so my husband scheduled an appointment to take the car back and now I wish we hadn't. The second time he tinted the windows it was worse. And to top it off when my husband went to pick up the car he had a very bad attitude. I don t understand what this place is not a 5 star rating, they are professionals and have the best deal in town , I don t know them I stoped yesterday got my Camry done in almost an hour, the tint is great and the price is even better very happy and definitely will refer them to people

Had a car tinted here last year, looked great no problems at all. Bought another car, dropped it off in the a.m. and had it back by noon or so. Windows done for my 16 year olds first car. Full of bubbles and Within a week, it started coming off. Worst tint job I have ever seen. Owner said he would fix it. When my 16 year old took the car to him, he was rude to her and walked away from her in the middle of her trying to talk to him. Refused to fix the tint as Promised even though she can hardly see out of the windows! I cannot believe someone who owns a company could be this rude to a paying customer! After reading all the other reviews, I wonder How is he even still in business? Find somewhere else to go.Service: Vehicle window tinting

Got my windows tinted through them. The only reason I went to them to do the job was because one of the owners does business with the company I work for just trying to pay it forward. Tint did not lay down right on one of my windows. Talked to owner and he said he only does repairs on Monday and Tuesday. Took my truck to them on a Tuesday and they told me they were too busy to get to it and for me to come back Saturday morning and they would take care of it. Showed up Saturday morning and again too busy to get to it. I would never recommend anyone to do business with this company. I m just going to take my losses and hopefully find a better company that has good business practicesService: Vehicle window tinting

I had my jeep windows tinted in march of 2021.Right after tint was put on I had many air bubbles and scratches. I had a warranty so I was going to just wait and see how it held up. Well it has not been a year and the tint is now coming off the top of the windows and I don't even know if I want to use the warranty to have it fixed. Thinking I may go somewhere else. My husband wanted a new CD player installed for his Ram 2500. We let Rock Bottom put in one previously in 2017 without incident. So this year December 2020 we figured we would let them install the upgrade. We called the shop to see if and when would be the next appointment and if they could install the new head unit for the CD player. We were told yes, as long as we had the steering wheel module, wiring harness, CD player & Maestro had everything needed for the install. We took the vehicle but Best Buy forgot a part to the CD player so we had to return it and get another one no fault of Rock Bottom. Here s the problem with Rock Bottom. If you can t do something don t say you can and take someone s money. They took on a job they couldn t do. When we called we told them everything we had and everything was good until the vehicle went to the shop. First it was we had the wrong deck so we ordered the right one, next it was we had the wrong wiring harness, ordered a new one & then it was the wrong installed the steering wheel module but it s not the right one so we ll install one for free. See when we took this vehicle we thought the same gentleman who installed for us would be doing this install but we were informed he no longer worked at the shop. Them giving us the run around we wasted $450 for an incomplete job. We took it to Extreme Audio for a second opinion because they informed us that should ve been an easy install. Extreme audio looked at the vehicle and determined basically we were screwed over and they ll fix it without a problem. We ve ordered the right part and will only be dealing with them from now on because not only do they not know what they re doing they re extremely rude and unprofessional. Go somewhere else but here.

Parked in front of the main entrance of the business to get a quote and drop off info for tint in my vehicle, as I went inside, a young woman immediately told me to move my vehicle because "that is the boss's parking spot". Guess the boss likes the parking spot rather than the business. My vehicle is being tinted elsewhere.

The name says it all... And you get what you pay for. I went there only because I knew someone that works there. I wish I had read the reviews first. First car I took there , no issues to speak of. simple deck install. The second one I took there was a classic vehicle with what should have been a simple install. I expressed my concern in the beginning with them putting it back together right. When I pointed out they were cross threading bolts, just how unprofessional they are came flooding out. A serious attitude was copped , I got my vehicle back cross threaded bolt, missing bolts,missing screws, AC motor rubbing on something. I had to take my vehicle elsewhere to have their worked repaired. Buyer beware right??

Looked like a three year old with a Razor blade did my tent! And do not get them to install stereo equipment, I repeat DO NOT!! Couldn't even zip tie the loose wires up and it almost caused my girlfriend to wreck my truck!! Took it back to him to get the peeling tint fixed. Said since I didn't have my original receipt , he couldn't help me. So much for a lifetime warranty!Service: Vehicle window tinting

I went there for an appointment and found out that they could not install an aftermarket item that I had purchased. He pointed me in the right direction and I left. I decided shortly after, to install it myself but found out that I needed a particular part to complete the install. Since he seemed like a nice guy when I visited, I decided to give him some business so I called to check to see if they had the part on hand. When I told him that I was there earlier in the morning and what I needed the part for and the year model of my vehicle, he stated "We can't touch that" and hung up the phone on me. I'm not sure if he was busy and distracted but at least hear the customer out.In the end, I bought the part elsewhere and finished the install in my driveway.

I had tint put on my car at this place, and they did a great job. The price was awesome! I would definitely go back! Check them out friendly people with great prices! They also have a great price on audio equipment for your car!

Took my truck to get tinted was told the tint wouldn t stick to my windshield.Took my truck from Rock Bottom to Tint guys and they did it in 30 minutes.Will not be going here again.

This place is one of the best hole in the wall places you will find to get your windows tinted or to get upgraded for a bass competition stereo! Has great products at reasonable prices but best of all, awesome customer service! The owner personally worked on my vehicle and made sure it was done right! And he stands 100% behind his product.

Had to take car back to fix the horrible tint job. After I called then showed up said he didn't have time to come back next week. I said that was not an option, fix it or take the tint off and refund my money. Finally fixed the tint but it still has a few bubbles on the rear but better than it was. He changed his story a few times on why the tint job was so bad. Finally said foreign cars are just harder to tint. Their quality is horrible, will never go back.

Initially the guy was very helpful and responsive to do business but not so much now, that his work isn t meeting the quality he promised. My husband took my car to have the tint looked at and schedule a time to repair but he blamed Dothan City water for the water stains, stated the city s water was hard & did not offer to fix it. He showed zero concern to take care of the customer. Basically, blowing off the issue. If you know the possible issues due to your findings of hard water let customers know, so that they can make the decision whether or not to use you.

Not friendly, the tint quality is easily a 0/10 terrible,allot of bubbles and looked like a child cut out the tint. It was cut so crooked I had light coming in on the edges of my windows. Definitely would not recommend EVER!

I got my car tinted and when I got home noticed electrical tape on my rear window. Assuming they used it to protect the glass I pulled it off to find they didn't cut the film right and there are 1/4 inch gaps around my window. I took the car back on the Tuesday following the install they had no problem fixing the mistake and apologized for allowing me to leave with it looking like that I'm still upset that they try to hide it but they did fix it.

Overall great place to buy good quality car audio, lots of choices from entry level to higher end car audio. Multiple options that can vary depending on budget.The warranty for Tint is awesome as well. I ve gotten multiple vehicles tinted from rock bottom and have purchased many audio components.

Took my car back 3 times because of the sloopy tint job, they don't care what kind of car u drive they treat it like it's trash. my seats were soak and wet on 2 different occasions when I took it back. the one guy was rude very nasty and unprofessional, if you're thinking of going there because it's cheap, DON'T.. save your money and go elsewhere,. hate I ever stopped there!! I don't know how they stay in business..

Hate is a mild term in comparison to what I experienced this week from this business. I too experienced the feel of being in an environment with the feel of a "used car salesmen" atmosphere. I contacted the apparent owner of Rock Bottom and we discussed what I was looking to accomplish with both of my vehicles. I took both vehicles by for so that he could determine what all would be needed. I informed the owner that I had already purchased the equipment that I wanted installed on my vehicles. Big mistake. His demeanor changed when he realized that no I would not be purchasing his (2) $500+ radio equipment. What I wanted was a radio install, tinted windows, sunroof install with visor, and a backup camera installation on one vehicle. On the other vehicle re-tint of driver's side window, radio install, and back up camera installation. What I got was a crude installation of my purchased radio with dash kit. The trim was scratched, scraped, and damaged and not properly aligned. I received inoperable reverse lights when the backup camera was installed. I would not have known this had another person wanted to look at and test out the system. I took it back along with a list of concerns that I had with the vehicle to include the visor for the sunroof. I was informed that everything was working and an apology for the damage done to my radio. Keep in mind I have not paid at this time because I am waiting for my second vehicle to be completed. I ask why the buttons on my steering column no longer worked and was told that for another $100.00 he would be able to do that. All the materials were given to the business in their original sealed packaging and opened at the facility. Due to the weather, there was a mailing delay for one radio, but was given to the shop upon arrival. My second vehicles driver's tint was redone and I noticed that it was not the same "darkness" as it was before. I again mention the disparity and was told that was the closest that they could do, but he didn't charge me for it. Other places give you several options of the tint product to choose from. I did not get or had even discussed this option on either vehicle and am not pleased with whatever cheap material was used. I received a phone call about the installation of my radio in the second vehicle stating that an additional $220 would be needed on top of the agreed upon price to install my radio. I declined and stated that I would be in to settle my bill and pick up my vehicle. On my way to the shop the visor (Installed two days prior) on my radio fell off my car and was crushed by another vehicle. I mentioned this to the owner, and was told, "We installed it by the instructions." Other establishments honor their work, but not here. I have had this same product on a previous vehicle with absolutely no problems. Meaning that it was the improper installation that caused the visor to come off, not a defect of the product. By this time I was seeing red and thinking unfavorable thoughts and was ready to pay what I owed and leave. He also did not comp anything from either vehicle and actually charged me radio installation services for the second vehicle. I normally do not write reviews, but after I read the reviews of similar consumers, I had to let the public be aware of what could potentially happen to you at this establishment. Good Luck.
