When you live in the South ac is a necessity. My ac quit, and it was 115� heat index. So I needed repairs.I discovered this place from a simple search of auto air repair near me. It was about to close, so I drove down to it just to get a bearing on what they're about, and (mainly) if they did ac repair.I was greeted warmly and was offered a time only 4 days away to have my car assessed.The morning of assessment, they looked at it almost right away and had my diagnosis ready. I ordered the part (compressor), and they installed it a week later at a reasonable price.My ac is working great!Thank you Howell's!You've got a new customer!

Awesome guys up there. Both of the guys up front are super nice and knowledgeable. They fixed my hyundai when nobody else could, including the hyundai dealership across the street. Thanks for your service ya'll have my business for life.

They are great! Repaired my a/c on time, took the effort to work with my extended warranty rep, and were courteous, pleasant, and respectful. I will be go to them again if the need arises.

My BMW 328 lost a fuel pump as my wife and I were leaving Dothan last Thursday and heading home - a 14 hour drive. The necessary dealer-only part wasn t available until late the next day and it looked like we were going to be stuck for the weekend. The folks at Howell went out of their way to get us on the road Friday, saving our schedule. They drove to Montgomery, picked up the part, made the repair and had us on the road in under a day. Terrific customer service, and they really know their stuff. We couldn t have asked for a better experience! Great people and outstanding service - truly above and beyond! And the bill came in well below the initial estimate!I wouldn t hesitate to call on these good folks.

Called them to schedule appointment, got me in the next day. They called me around 11am to tell me what was wrong and how much it would cost to have it fixed. After telling them that is great and go ahead fixing it, they told me they would have my car done by 4pm. Good pricing and very friendly employees.

My dad has been taking his car for over 15 years and since moving here last year, I also take my cars. They are wonderful. Dependable and professional and I wouldn t trust my car to anyone else.

I took my car in because it was making a racket. They called me within a couple of hours and told me it was going to need a new engine. They could have stuck me with the price of a new engine plus labor but they went the extra step and found out my motor had a recall. They contacted the dealership and I am now getting a new motor put in for free! Very nice people and trustworthy!

Billy Howell was very professional when I interacted with him about my car problems. He engaged me in a manner that was genuine and made me feel confident that my car would be repaired properly and at a fair price. I also met several of the staff and the mechanic (Rick Nelson) that actually worked and successfully repaired my car. The entire staff impressed me and I will be returning to Howell Auto if I have a problem with any of my cars.

I called to try to get someone to work on my vehicle, I was told if I leave a phone number ,someone would return my call and help me. This was several days ago and no call has come yet. Oh well, other places are available.

Stay away crooks, very dishonest people, They broke more than they fixed. Took my car in for oil change. Got it back with the transmission leaking. If I could give them negative stars, they would get it.

We have been customers for a very long time. They are HONEST. Kind and caring folk, who will tell us exactly what needs to be done and more important what does not need to be done. We totally rely on them to keep all our vehicles in good running order order. And they have coffee and candy too!!

I drove there in person and trued to get a quote. The man said he would call me in a couple hours. I called back. No answer. 2 weeks went by and i called back. A lady said im sorry who you talked to is on lunch i will have him call you back. Its been another week and no call back.

Very unpleasant experience. Had my wife feeling like she was a bother. Actually made the issues worse. Had to turn right back around and have them take a second go at the repair. Thankfully they got it right.

It s nice to know that I m actually working with honest mechanics that aren t ripping me off and stealing my money anymore. I got ripped off somewhere else but these people are very honest and I ll continue to use them! Thanks Billy !

Dropped my car off for them to look at and tell me what s wrong with it. They charged me $95 just to look at it and didn t tell me upfront that they were going to charge me. No work preformed. Then gave me an estimate that the math on it doesn t even add up! Beware!
