The owner went out of his way to help us out when we broke down on the high way with a camper. They towed both the truck and trailer and got me back on the road within a day. Southern hospitality is definitely a thing.

Thanks guys for working with me on restoring my 1999 Mazda Miata. I love driving this little toy car with the top down. It wouldn't start. The driver's window wouldn't go up. The parking brake didn't work. All repaired now. We've had good experiences with Pro-Tech in Decatur in the past. They did good work on one son's Mitsubishi and the price didn't give me a panic attack. So when our other son's Nissan needed to be jump-started several times lately that's where we took it.They were covered up. It was hard to find a place to park. Apparently it had been a really busy day and the guys behind the counter were feeling it, but they immediately went out to look at our car. 15-20 minutes later it was all fixed and the charge was only $20.I highly recommend Pro-Tech. They do good work, they're trustworthy, and don't overcharge.

Pro tech has great service .Side note .Don't deal with any of their tow truck mechanics . They prey on the innocent! One sent me a meth head to fix my ride .

Twice ProTech has repaired my Hyundai much faster and cheaper than the dealership said it could be done. They re courteous and great to deal with, and I highly recommend them.

Paul and his staff have always been helpful to me. He has sign in shop states "Good work ain't cheap, and cheap work ain't good". I feel in auto repairs this is a true statement.They are very busy and sometimes you may feel it takes too long but like that everywhere.I recommend them highly.

Had a turn signal out. Another place wanted to do a diagnostic, which is expensive.The guys at Pro-Tech found the new bulb defective, they were quick and didn't even charge me. It is great to find people that care and do not want to rip of a female costumer. Highly recommend Thank you

Absolutely 110% recommend this shop!!Every single person in this shop are beyond amazing! I have the worst luck having both my cars breakdown and they immediately ordered parts on one, gave me an immediate quote. Once my other car broke down they towed it in and started working on it to help get me back driving. I recently had a very bad experience with this shop. I was charged considerably more money than the estimate given without ever receiving notification of the difference. I also discovered I had paid for a water pump replacement that was never performed upon discovering a brand new water pump left behind in our car after we had picked it up. The owner did issue a refund for this, but I am left wondering what else I have been charged for that was not done. The lower grille on our car was damaged either during the tow by Pro-Tech Wrecker Service or sometime during the repair at the shop. Pro-Tech denied any responsibility for the damage. My son also witnessed someone from the business driving the car very aggressively on Hwy 31. Pro-Tech initially denied doing this, but the owner, Paul, later stated that weren t that impressed with our car anyways. The owner is incredibly unprofessional, and I would think twice about using this shop.

I must say that I really hate going to mechanics and automotive service shops but my experience at Protech automotive was amazing. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. A situation that would have normally completely stressed me out was easy quick and affordable. I give these guys 5 stars across the board and recommend that anybody who is having problems with their vehicle, or needs automotive work go see these guys. Thank you for a job well done. (Ps. The thing that really stood out was that they took the time to explain everything in a way that I could understand and that put me at these.)

I have to give Paul, Ben, and Alan a shout-out for their great customer service and care. We were on a road trip from KY to FL and ran into car trouble. They understood the bind we were in and helped a family far from home figure out what was wrong. Although the van ended up being irreparable (at least not worth cost), Paul was straight forward with the issues and the cost/benefit of addressing them. Some places would have ran additional unnecessary tests at the expense of the customer. If I were a local or run into trouble while traveling through again (really hope not), I know where to go for good honest work. Thank you all so much! (Unfortunately, the van met it's end not too far down the road, as expected.)

Payed to get it towed to my house gave them the address and they left it at a different house . I guess they don t know how to read. Was suppose to be there yesterday but nope never got a call after they said they will call. They just waste your time when you don t want to pay for their mechanic charges.

I had a very great experience with this auto shop the other day! I came in, and they diagnosed the problem with my truck almost instantly for me, and it was so simple that they took 5 minutes to fix it and sent me on my way. I didn't get any of their names, but everyone I spoke with was very nice and informative. They didn't charge me anything since the repair was so quick, and they wouldn't let me tip them. So I decided to leave this nice review for them

I WOULD NOT GO TO PROTECH. Took my truck there, and had to call the 3rd day to see what was going on, they didn't know who I was or whose truck they had sitting outside. Told me they would get to it. Called again the next day and same thing happened. They forgot who it belonged to, buy assured me they would have it done and taken care of by the next day. I had already told them what the issue was. A camshaft position sensor error. They tell me that it was the clutch switch and they replaced it ONLY tell me the next day they were going to have to charge me an addition $300 on top of the $300 they charged me for the clutch switch. I was so mad I went up there to get my truck, because there was no way in hell they were touching it again, there boss kept asking rhe two workers what was wrong and they didn't even know how to answer him. I get my truck home (which I was told I would be charged $80 for the tow there) nope, they charged me $150. I called back up there and had to go get my money back.Oh, p.s.I replaced the camshaft position sensor in my truck in less than an hour and my truck runs great now. They had my vehicle for a week and couldn't even remember who it belonged to, or what was wrong with it. The part was only $40. They charged me a grand total of almost $400.Long story short; Protech in Decatur is a horrible recommendation. I actually HIGHLY recommend going somewhere else.

I believe this company lacks honesty and integrity. They fixed something that didn't nead fixing after I told them what I needed done. I had to have another mechanic fix my vehicle after this company gave me the run around which put me over $300 out of pocket! Literally $300 bucks gone for absolutely nothing that we discussed needed done! Liars and thieves is how I think of them now.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I ve been going to these guys for five years now and I highly recommend them. The price is always fair and will definitely beat the competition. They always seem to impress me with how quick they do things also. The guys behind the counter are great to work with and that can be hard to find sometimes. I ll definitely be back!

Called to see if I could bring a car to be looked at. Was told they stay pretty full and not sure when they can get to it, but I could bring it if I want. Didn t really seem like they wanted my business. Disappointing.

I had my car towed to another company after it overheated. I was told my oil was low and $1000 later a valve gasket cover was replaced. Not a few days later my car overheated again and I realized the original reason for the tow was never repaired. I took my car to Pro-tech with no A/C and car still overheating. I explained my bad experience and they looked at the car immediately, found the fan motor needed replaced, ordered it local and had it in 10 minutes. What I thought was going to be a loss and a trade in was fixed in less than an hour for a VERY fair price. I drove my car home that day avoiding the need to rent a car. Best experience ever!! If you don t take your car here then you ve made a huge mistake! Thank you Protech!Service: Air conditioning
