I'm 54 years of age and never have I found a mechanic shop that not only do great work and care about their customers but are actually honest with the problems you may or may not have. I have used them for over 16 years now with both our personal vehicles and our companies vehicles and I have never had any issues with dishonesty or poor work done on our vehicles! I would refer these great folks to anyone!!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND RIVERCHASE!! I have been having problems with my Lexus and my Chevy for quite some time. After having another mechanics shop mess up my truck I needed a good mechanic to help me. Don was very informative and worked with throughout the repairs of my vehicles. He was so kind to do a thorough inspection of both vehicles and give me options for those repairs needed. His pricing isn't "low" nor is it "high", but the quality work that his crew of mechanics perform is absolutely top notch. They are willing to perform "tests" on your vehicle to ensure their work is complete and resolves your problems. Do not waste your time with "friend mechanics" or "the local", go to the highly trained and down to Earth mechanics that will treat you professionally, with courtesy and empathy. I highly highly recommend Riverchase Automotive.

Great service, Donny Kelley's team are the Experts on auto repair. They have found answers to issues that other stumped other repair companies. Always friendly, conveniently located to the Hoover area.

I have continued to come here for years for multiple reasons. Donnie and the rest of the crew are very knowledgeable and great at what they do. They get you what you need and don't try to sell you on anything you don't. Would recommend to everyone!

Donny Kelley and his team made me feel like family which led me to trust his diagnosis of what was wrong with my vehicle and what it would cost to repair it. I even brought in a list of items that another mechanic shop informed needed to be done to obtain a second opinion and he informed me that the work was not needed right now. My engine had to be replaced and it was almost $3000 cheaper than I was quoted at another shop! Service with INTEGRITY is the best way I can describe my experience! It makes a difference when you are able to establish a relationship with the business owner and not just the manager.Service: Engine repair

The best mechanics you will find in the Birmingham area, hands down. Donny really knows his stuff. They have been in business as long as they have for a reason. His master technician, David, is also extremely knowledgeable and certainly a master of his craft. I typically do all of my own repairs but when I need something specialized, I will bring it to Riverchase. Not many people can properly align TTB suspensions on OBS 90's Ford trucks, but they certainly can!Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance

My air pressure light was on so I stopped & was helped immediately. Not only was my light on but a 6 inch nail was found in my back rear tire.Thankfully the tire was fixable & they also checked my other tires too.Great place!

No question that this garage is first rate! We had an urgent need before making a purchase and the owner took time to look it over for us. He went bumper to bumper and showed us things we would have missed. You are so fortunate to have this type of integrity coupled with extensive knowledge in Pelham.

Alignment issue. They were quick to identify the problem. Fast on the service and easy to talk to. And they did a great job for a little bit less than a national chain was going to charge. I was able to prepare for my cross country trip with safety and reliability in an older car. They completed a checkup and maintenance work for efficiency and economic operation. I received a complete evaluation and explanation of options. Professional service and nice personal attention allowed me to enjoy my trip with confidence and satisfaction. I stopped by yesterday after another close by garage wouldn't take a gander or even offer any advice, over a simple problem come to find out. Ton of guys sitting around and scheduling. I asked for advice, he walked outside looking under the hood and even got on the ground to diagnose, give me guidance, on what I needed to order. Strut going out. Assured me I had time to get it fixed, told me where and what to order and bring it back. I appreciate the service and the owner didn't act like his time was more valuable than anyone else's. Everyone is backed up bc of Holiday's but it's the people that are willing to go the extra mile who will get my business. Thank you, thank you, thank you. God Bless!

Though I was not impressed with the findings of the repair needed it had to be done as I have had no other issues with this truck since I have owned it since new. They gave me diagnoses and options to choose from and did some research myself on what was needing to be done and agreed to the repairs. I am beyond satisfied with the choices I made for the improvement of the truck and the job was done professionally.I am very well pleased working with this business and will gladly to referrals to them.Thank you Riverchase Automotive !!!!Service: Engine repair

I am usually very apprehensive about going to a new auto shop. When I was referred to Riverchase, I did not know what to expect. What I found is exceptional service, affordable pricing, honesty, and flexibility. Donnie was so helpful and worked with us according to our needs. He noticed things that had been overlooked at the chain auto shops and always gave his honest take on what needed to be done. I called on Monday made an appointment for Wednesday. By Thursday morning he was able to get it back on the road. While they were replacing the water pump and the belt they noticed the oil leaking. He called me up and asked if I would like to get that fixed as well, and didn't just ignore it. I've been in the towing business for 30+ years, so I know more than a little bit about shops and garages with competent technicians and honest owners. Rex and his son Donnie have been automotive superstars the entire time I've known them. They are the ONLY shop I trust to work on my vehicles, as well as my tow trucks. Always fair, always honest, and the work is completed right the FIRST time, and within the time frame they tell me. They have always went above and beyond, including taking care of a few things for me that are not always "in their wheelhouse"; a few weeks ago, they installed a new grill for me on one of my Toyota trucks, even though they are not a body shop! I got tires here. David was the one that helped me. He is a real asset to the business. He was very polite and respectful. He also checked my car for other "issues " and found none. He went above and beyond what he had to do. I will definitely go back when I need other services.

I had my vehicle towed here to have the wheel bearing replaced.y ABS light was on, and knew that was all that was wrong with it. But since I was in a big truck, and 24 years old, they tried to take advantage of me.Called me the next day with 2,500$ worth of stuff that had to be replaced in order for it to drive again, and it could be more. After taking my truck to my personal mechanic, 225$ later, I am on the road again. I felt like they tried to take advantage of me because of my age. 2500$ right before Christmas it was sad really. I would not recommend this place for any reason whatsoever.

Donnie and the staff are top notch. If they say you need something repaired. Trust them !One year later and I have the same opinion of Riverchase Auto. Don't understand some of the negatives I read but cars are expensive these days! If they can save you money they will not replace something but if it needs a repair or replace I still trust them.Still getting great service and honest opinions on work needed for my cars!
