I took my suv in because it vibrated during braking. I asked them to check the brakes and rotors.Instead they replaced suspension and control arms while charging me $800 that I did not have. Needless to say it didn't fix the problem and I had to return the vehicle the next week only to have them change the brakes and rotors. They charged me an extra $300 to fix the problem I asked them to fix during the first visit.When I confronted them about the first charges which didn't fix the problem they refused to make things right. Of course they denied fixing something that wasn't broken but they refused to acknowledge being asked to fix a problem they overlooked.They charged me for a problem that didn't exist while ignoring the problem that did.I had to pay for both. I encourage you to contact the Better Business Bureau with your complaints. You are not alone.Since the business has changed ownership the customer service has suffered tremendously.

I've taken my vehicles to PTL for many years. They've always been fair, honest, reasonable, accommodating.Mr. Tim is retired now but you would think he's still around due to the level of service and professionalism the staff there now exhibits.I've always felt comfortable taking my vehicles there and I foresee me being a patron for the foreseeable future. I also have no qualms about referring anyone to them.Keep it up guys

Took sister's car there today and as usual they did a great job. Been doing business with them 15 years, never had a complaint. They are honest and if you don't need something they will tell you and not just try to sell you something you don't need. Great staff, recommend these people highly.

PTL is a really outstanding repair shop. I have taken my car there for almost 10 years, and they have never let me down. They have never tried to upsell me on unnecessary repairs, and more than once they have talked me out of work I thought I needed. Their prices are extremely reasonable. Several times I have stopped by without an appointment and they have pulled a code or made a quick repair free of charge to help me out. Tim, the owner, always checks after an appointment to make sure I am happy with the work. You can tell many of their customers have been with them for years. Their business is built on integrity and trust--I'm grateful they're in Roebuck!

Had an appointment to get my air checked after I told them that it had to be the compressor and I already had Freon in but yet they still put more in it and I was charged $100 for them to tell me the same thing I told them as if they really checked and I already knew that had to be it. And also the staff isn t very friendly.

PTL is by far the best! My family & I (mom, dad, grandma, siblings) have been going to PTL for about 20 years, & I highly recommend the professional expertise & excellent customer service offered by the owner Tim & his awesome crew! Even though I moved to Huntsville, I still make appointments at PTL & happily make the drive to B'ham; I even drive down every few months for an oil change--this is how great PTL is! Honest, knowledgeable, safety & craftsmanship focused, good pricing, & best of all, Tim & his crew make you feel like one of the family. A+++ Highly recommended!

Excellent service. Very professional. ReasonableI had them run diagnostics on the car but I already knew the problem. They did not try to sell me on anything that wasn't wrong with the car. They confirmed what I already knew.I can't say the same for Edwards Chevrolet. Edwards mechanics did an112 inspection and missed wiper blades which makes me think do they really do the work that your cat needs or are they making up things. They told me I need new brakes that was two years ago and I just had the rear brakes replaced. Front brakes still good. I always check before I take it to a mechanic just to see what cost they will add.PTL is a great shop. Worth the money.

We have been using PTL for about six years now. Not only do we them exclusively for our vehicles, but extended family and friends. They are honest and thorough. They don t t try to price gouge you. Tim the owner is a wonderful person as well as his mechanics.

I have been using PTL for decades. This is the BEST auto repair/maintenance business in the city. The great service is supported by the values of the owner and his wife. It is worth a drive across town for the confidence of excellent advise, efficiency, prices and service.

I ve used PTL on my personal vehicle for close to 10 years now. Their customer service and automotive knowledge is top notch. Their dedication to providing good work in a small locally owned business is starting to get harder to find in the world. I d strongly recommend PTL for your next car service needs.

PTL is the ONLY place i take any of my vehicles to when work needs to be done. Tim, Chase, Nolan and Winston are great people. This is a Christian based business and it is built on integrity!

I'm very thankful that I found PTL. I've been bringing my family's vehicles here for several years now. Tim (the owner) is honest and stands behind his employee's work. I drive 20 miles to his shop, passing many auto mechanics on the way, because I haven't found another auto shop that I trust.

It's always hard to find a trustworthy car repair shop - I found one. One of the newer repair chain shops in Irondale (main tire installer for Amazon in Birmingham) called me during tire install and informed me that I urgently need new brake pads because I have only 2.5 mm left, plus new rotors, struts, shocks.... and an alignment. Quote was $1500. They are well known for upselling so I figured I try PTL for new brakes instead because of the many positive reviews on Nextdoor. They looked at it free of charge and said my brake pads are only half worn down, and that I don't need any brake job done right now. Wow..that's the kind of honesty you really want in the car repair business. I am SOLD and will get all my stuff, including tires, done at PTL in the future.

The best auto repair facility I've ever worked with. They have worked on all of our cars, my mom's car, my in-laws' cars, and my uncle's cars. We trust no one else with our vehicles. One thing that impresses me is that their mechanics stay with them for a long time, which means that they are treated with respect and dignity. Several of the guys have worked on our cars and they remember them-and they remember what they did to them in the past. It's hard to find that these days.

Honest, dependable, excellent service.There are mechanics and then they are gifted people who can bring your vehicle through just about anything. Mechanical magicians is a more accurate assessment of skill.Southern hospitality and good manners along with a clean waiting room accommodates you as your vehicle receives great treatment.

I worked for Tim at PTL about 20 years ago. Since then, he has been the only mechanic I trust and use. He's honest. His mechanics know their stuff. He takes care of his employees and customers. You won't find a better shop.

These folks are just great. I went here with a triggered tpms sensor thinking i needed a tire. I was told it was a plug leaking and charged nothing for it. Guy spent a solid 15-20 minutes trying to find the problem.Also quoted me a great price on a set of tires. No pressure to buy i asked for the quote.Ive worked at a local tire shop and i can say from experience these guy's are probably a bit smarter than some others. thats why ive sent people here for years. The new location(new to me) is super clean manicured as well.

I get multiple vehicles serviced at PLT. I trust them. I know what I'm going to get when I take my vehicles there; good honest professional customer service. No addons. They fix what's broken and advised on other findings. Quality work. I highly recommend my neighborhood auto service center.
