Each time I go to John s Auto, I am greeted with a smile, hug from Captain (the sweet lab) and honest answers. I completely trust the service and information I receive each time I go to have my car worked on. I always leave confident that I have chosen to have honest and kind professionals take care of my car! As a single woman, this is GOLD to me! I highly recommend this business! I have always struggled to find a quality and trusted place for auto repair and not to mention a fair price. I no longer have that feeling after finding John s Auto Repair & Tire. Best to call ahead but they will get you in and out. I will always check here first when I have auto issues.

I visited the other day when my check engine light came on. Bonus that I was greeted by a sweet lab in lobby named captain. Hunter plugged my car in and determined it was likely that I needed a new gas cap because mine wasn t clicking anymore. $12 later and no more check engine light. Very honest and pleasant! I m used to driving to Prattville for auto work, but will come here next time. Highly recommend!

Last year I was in search of a mechanic and being new to the area I googled and founds John s! I took a chance and they have taken care of my vehicles since! They are literally the nicest people and Hunter and John take care of us and i trust them to always give me an honest answer or opinion. They truly treat people how they want to be treated. Just moved in the neighborhood and worried about finding a good auto repair shop. These guys are exceptional! Called this am because my Jeep Cherokee was leaking oil. They had me bring it in right away. Diagnosed the problem before I left and had me fixed and back on the road before 3pm! Awesome experience, very reasonable price, and just great, friendly people! Car started clunking on the interstate. I pulled off and headed to John's because they were the closest place with good reviews. The reviews are true. I pulled in a half hour before they closed but they treated me like their first customer. Between the number of cars on the lot and the backup on parts, I expected it would be two weeks before repairs were done. They had it finished by the next morning for a fair price. Incredible!

I love this place. They drove my sister home and picked her back up. They took the time to track down an intermidant electrical problem that would drain the battery. Another place could only generalize the problem without giving a solution. They have always done the repairs quickly. This is a family business and I can tell you that they have treated me like family. Their prices are really good and they are honest. We have 4 cars, and there have been several times when the actual bill came in lower than the original estimate! I have used them a few times on two of my vehicles. My first experience with them was when a shield underneath the engine of my Prius was coming loose. They affixed it properly, and charged me nothing for the job. I later took them my minivan for air conditioning repairs, and they did good work fast, and charged a very fair price. Today, I had to take them my Prius again, because of a check engine light I couldn't get rid of after doing research on the cause and possible fix. They cleared it, and assured me the problem was simply that it takes some time for the light to go out after doing the fix. They charged me nothing for their service.Perhaps the best part about the place is that they are always friendly and easy to deal with. The one time I took them a more complex problem, the mechanic was very up-front about the fact he wasn't confident in his ability to deal with something that might involve the hybrid system. (He joked that he was scared of it.) I appreciated his honesty about this- and he referred me to another shop that did a beautiful job with it.I would give them six stars if I could. Great folks!

I went for new brakes. Some of the kindest and honest people you will meet. Family run businesses and customer service like this are hard to find these days. I live in the neighborhood and wanted to use a neighborhood auto repair . I stopped in a week prior to schedule an appt. I had my vehicle there by 7:20 am ( they open at 7:30)and told them what I thought issue was. . They kept it all day with no call or update . . I called 7 hours later and still had no diagnosis. I called back at 3:45. No answer. At 4 pm walked there several blocks away uphill only to find they had just put it on the rack and was then was given a card to another repair shop. The only saving grace was no charge . Never again.

Very quick on fixing my 1999 toyota 4runner lower ball joint.Overall the price was fair, if you can not do it yourself.The service was excellent.I am still trying to get over a time some years back and the service was not good. They would not repair a damage that they caused working on my sister's car.So I tried them again lately and maybe they are better now or new management whatever. So far I am pleased and hope I made the choice to use them as my go to garage for the time being. And really that is mostly due to location.

Zero problems getting my AC compressor fixed in less than a day. John s auto is great and so are the people working there . Prices are very fair . Turnaround is amazing .

John s Auto Repair & Tire is the only place I will take my vehicles to. John and his team are honest, fast and his prices are very reasonable. He has excellent customer service. He personally contacted me about my vehicles issues and let me know what needed to be fixed. I highly recommend using John s Auto Repair & Tire.

I took my mother's Buick to John's and he did an excellent job of repairing it. Although it was pretty expensive I thought he did a great job ! I plan on taking my on car there and if he can get it running right I'll give him 5 stars !

I have been doing business with John and Billy for over 10 years now and they have always treated me fair and honest. I trust them with any car repair i might have to tell me the truth and charge me a fair price. I highly recommend them to anyone for their car repair needs.

John and Billy along with the whole staff were sooooo helpful and honest from the beginning. I took my car in because it was over heating...explained to them that I am a student and was not expecting to incur these mechanic cost so John was super nice and knocked off a few bucks from the original quote. They were prompt, explained everything in detail and took care of my car as one of their daughters. Best and honest shop in Bham by far!! Definitely recommend...they won't let you down!! Thanks guys!!!

IF YOU AREN'T GOING TO JOHN'S, YOU ARE GOING TO THE WRONG PLACE! I will never go anywhere else. These are hands down the most honest and most professional people I've ever come across.
