Got exhaust work done on my mustang. I brought my own mufflers to install and turns out I bought the wrong type. They worked with me and got my job done without any extra hassle. Quality of work looks good. Will bring my other cars here in the future.

Great service, and quality work. I took my car twice to do exhaust work and I was not left disappointed. I would say, just be ready to leave your car because even if they tell you to get there first thing in the morning, they may not get you in, they made me go twice and I had to leave because they were busy and could not to the job at the moment, so be prepared to leave your car at the shop. Besides that, fair price and great work.

I was extremely lucky to search muffler shops in Birmingham and I read reviews on this one and I am extremely pleased that I chose it for maintenance. I was told in Montgomery the catalytic converter was going bad and needed replacement. When I brought the car here they first verified the converter was bad. I trust the people working here and that is extremely important. It is awesome to see the owner of the shop working with the crew.I more than highly recommend Acme Muffler when you need repairs that they cover. I am extremely pleased with the service I received here on October 12th 2022.31 October 2023I just read my review. Let me put it this way, I would love to have a repair shop like Acme Muffler in Montgomery Alabama. Let's face it, no one likes the catalytic converters the government requires our cars to have. When that thing malfunctions, Acme Muffler is a great place to have it replaced. The crew at this place is awesome. I trust them more than 100%. I do not know about you out there reading this review, but that trust is extremely important to me. I had a catalytic converter replaced on my girlfriend's car. Her and I met via eHarmony and we broke up on 02 January 2023. My heart is still broken.

Great shop. They were so friendly and able to get me back on the road home very quickly. They couldn't get the full repair done because I had to leave from out of town, but they made my car driveable to make it home at no cost! I highly recommend this shop for your car needs. Spent over $6000 with them to flush my gas tank, major tune up and a lot of other things cause this car had been sitting in the garage for over 5 years without being Crunk, so I knew these things needed to be done. 7 months later when my check engine light had come on, I found out that a tune up had never been done and some other stuff. Did a great quick job replacing the exhaust on my 4Runner. Very honest in pricing and got the job done within 48 hours of drop off despite a pretty sizable looking backlog of cars.

I was on my way to work when I hit an unavoidable piece of debris on the interstate. As I was getting off near my destination, I heard a terrible dragging noise. I pulled over and looked under my car. My exhaust system had come undone and was dragging under my car. A quick search found that this shop was less than 1 mile away, so I limped my car here. I was expecting to be told the entire system needed to be replaced for big $$$. That was not the case. They had me in and out within 1.5 hours for way less than I expected. Great service. Excellent staff. Highly recommend.

My experience was exceptional. Ricky is the best mechanic I've ever dealt with. Ricky is honest and price was good. I have a Ford and had a timing chain problem along with other problems. I have not had work done here, but I own a car that was worked on in their shop in 2017. Looking to get some very expensive shocks factory warrantied that they replaced in 2017. They went way above and beyond to assist digging up the files off a backup computer and forwarding me that invoice that the manufacturer required to show proof of install/ownership. Who does that????Thank you ACME Muffler!!!

To me they displayed their true character. I came in expecting to have at least $300 worth of work done only for them to tell me with all honesty....there's nothing wrong, just needs for my bolts tighten and one replaced. Total cost of my visit, the time it took me to make this review. I would definitely be going back if needed. Even after insisting on paying them something for getting rid of the noise that been driving me crazy, they also insisted that it was nothing, leaving me to believe in their character and how they treat all customers. Honesty is alive in this shop.

Great place and friendly people. I had a hole in the exhaust pipe. I showed up without calling (I don't encourage this, always call first) and they were pretty busy. They went out of their way to squeeze me in and fixed my issue for $100. Took less than an hour.Only shop in Birmingham I would recommend.Thank you so much!

These guys are great they installed some performance mufflers for me. Very professional made custom work look factory. Price was exactly what was discussed and overall experience was unbeatable. I will definitely be using Acme Muffler for all future exhaust work thanks guys.

Came to have work done two weeks in a row and was turned away each time. The first time I came too late ok that s fine, but when I was told to arrive early the next time I did, I was the first one there and he claimed they were busy then when I asked to make an appointment he said they didn t do them. So, I m trying to figure out how they keep getting book if they don t do appointments. I would just not recommend this place ever!!

Let me just say that as a woman, I am use to these shops trying to run game on me. However, THIS place! Ladies, you can trust them to be fair and ACTUALLY take care of your car. Ricky was super nice and informative. He made sure I was fully aware of all my options and potential costs. I will always send my friends and family there!

This place was fair and honest with all of their service. I went in for an O2 sensor to be replaced and was told previously that it would need to be taken out along with the catalytic converter. This was after 3 hours at the shop. When we brought it to ACME, not only did we did not need to have the catalytic converter replaced but the O2 sensor only took 20 minutes to put in!! I swear some places are really inept at their jobs and need to retire Hopefully, ACME doesn't fall into that category and keep on providing the excellent customer service I experienced today.

The owner is a very honest person. Everyone I spoke with their were very polite and courteous. I would recommend Acme Muffler to anyone needing their muffler or exhaust system checked out.

David told me to bring in my car Tuesday and he'd have it done by Tuesday. So I brought my car in on Tuesday, got me a quote by 9 AM, and had my car back within 3 hours.I bought my car from up north and the bottom of the car had considerable rust damage from all the salt. The car needed to have the length of the exhaust pipe welded back onto the body, flex-pipe replaced, the flanges between the front-cat and resonator removed and welded into a straight-pipe, and a new muffler to be replaced and welded onto the exhaust pipe.I am a very mechanically-inclined person and I planned to do all of this work myself like I've done in the past for other repairs. But the amount of time, headache, supplies, and welding that would've gone into it, I decided to take it to Acme Muffler. I chose to go to them because all the body shops and auto parts store in the Bham area highly recommended them.David did all the work for an EXTREMELY FAIR PRICE with a quick turnaround! David listened to what I needed done and he did exactly that. He didn't try to undercut me and charge me for "necessary" repairs. He knows what he's doing and he listens to you.You will drive out of there with a clear conscience knowing that you did not overpay!

My brush guard broke loose and I wasn't sure it could be fixed. David told me to bring it in and he would take a look. He was able to weld it back together later that day for a very reasonable price. Everyone there was very courteous and it was a great experience. It's a little tough to find, but well worth it.

I had a broken support arm for a boat bimini top. It needed a couple of spot welds. The mechanic there did the repair in 5 min while I waited, then would not charge me anything. He reluctantly accepted a tip. In a time when dealer service centers charge from inflated book rates, and corporate-owned service centers push their employees to upsell services that aren't needed, it is nice to find a locally owned shop like this with good folks who treat you fairly. Highly recommended.

Had muffler repair done here. Dropped my car off after hours on Monday night, ready by noon the following day. Quick service at great rates!!! happy with repair done - recommend this place

Left sawzall marks on the muffler pipes under my truck. Took it back for them to fix and they cut some off, leaving more marks in the process. Anybody can install a muffler, their craftsmanship and attitude about it was poor. They did mention that i could bring it back a 3rd time. Far too much hassle for what should have been a simple transaction.Service: Exhaust
