Highly recommend this place. They did an excellent job on my truck bed liner. Tinted my wife s camaro windows and put new tires on my truck as well as a leveling kit. The leveling kit had some issues but with that being said, the crew at CTU was more than accommodating on fixing the problem and when I tell you they went above and beyond I mean it. I m very pleased with the professionalism and all around customer service from everyone.I will recommend and will definitely be back for further work on our vehicles!!

Took my Jeep to have a lift and driveshaft installed along with an alignment. I used google reviews to decide on doing business with this place so I will describe my experience to possibly help the next person decide.- driveshaft was not installed properly, possibly not torqued to spec, leading to the pinion bearing failing and my differential having to be replaced. There was bad grinding sounds from the rear end. Also, driveshaft has one grease point and there was no grease in it. Me and my girlfriend were left stranded out of town and had to spend $400 on a rental car while the Jeep was in the shop.- there is bump steer and loose steering which could be caused by a few things that I am hunting down. There was no mention of it or any solutions, they just sent my girlfriend home in a jeep that was borderline dangerous to drive. I went to a different shop to get an alignment print out and the specs are not close to what the lift instructions call for.- I supplied the parts and the boxes were all unopened. The driveshaft company gifts a tshirt with their driveshaft, I never received the shirt. It may or may not have been in the box but something I feel worth mentioning.- took my jeep to them for a 750 mile re-torque appointment. I voiced my concerns about the steering and rear end grinding sound and they said they would look into it. They had my jeep for a couple hours and said everything looked good, and since it s a 2 door jeep the steering is gonna be a little worse because of the wheelbase. I asked again about the sound and a different gentleman was there and mentioned it s backlash noise. That s when I knew that they had an idea of what they screwed up. I then left with no fix to the jeep.I have had multiple Jeeps and had this same lift installed on a different one at a different shop and never had issues like this. The shop was clean and the employees were nice but either they are incompetent or they screwed up and weren t willing to admit it.

Awesome custom work on all types of vehicles. Great customer service. Ultra modern facility with comfortable waiting room with clean restrooms.CTU replaced my KATSKIN leather rear seatsin my GMC SUV that a dealership in another state had messed up. TCU did a fantastic job on the install and I highly recommend their services and products. TCU is the only authorized installer for KATSKINS in this area. Thanks TCU for the professional install and efficient service.

Got my truck back from CTU in Auburn today. I had a 6 inch suspension lift put on my F-250 and on the way home I heard a bad popping sound. This is what I found when I got home. Oh. And Jeff at CTU told me I have a popping sound coming from my drivers side steering arm that it needed to be replaced (how do you let a truck out of your shop like this). If the bolts would have came out my front end would have bent under my truck. I think God that it didn't happen to me and my son in the truck. Don't let this happen to you. How can people run a business like this with lives in you hands.

They did great work despite me being impatient. Very professional, install looks good, rides better. I got a 2.5" JKS suspension lift kit 17" ProComp Wheels and some 34"x12.50" tires. They installed all of it in a day (after waiting for shipping). There was some confusion about my spare, but I simply showed up and they got it taken care of. Great place to get work done. Would recommend. Shoutout to Brandon (I think I spelled it right?), he was very kind and invited me behind the desk to look at some options and talked me through the pros and cons of each option. Props to him for his patience with me and expertise. Thanks again!

CTU leveled my truck, tinted my windows and mounted my wheels they did a great job. They even patched my bed liner from an incident I had with a piece of equipment.Later I had an issue with a lug nut that broke (not striped) when rotating the tires (was not one of CTUs lugs). They were very helpful and incredibly removed the broken lug nut without damaging my expensive wheels or the stud on the hub.

I have always used CTU for my window tinting. Although I haven t being in 10 years the service was better. I went in for tint removal and to put in new tint. My experience wasn t good with them at all, I was there for six to seven hours. After I found out they had messed something up in my door, I went back there. I was still there waiting when they closed to get it fixed, this should ve being check before they brought the car around. This is so ridiculous, why did I have to wait for a long period of time and I just left. This should ve being a easy fix.

April 2022The incompetence of this establishment and its staff is just beyond me. I ve been a repeat customer for 10 years plus and as the years went on they ve become worse and worse. I had a full kryptonite front end installed over a year ago and with in a few months the idler arm went bad due to manufacture defect. It was also assumed by Ctu mechanics that the pitman arm may have defects as well. It took weeks for Ctu to get the warranty idler arm due to the lack of taking care of existing customers. So I was forced to drive around with a known broken part. Idler arm was replaced and had alignment issues where they advised the leveling kit on the truck was causing the issues. Had a 4 cognito lift put on to remove leveling torsion keys and started to get a pop in the front end. I went back up to Ctu under the suspicion the pitman arm was failing. They decided to rule out the pitman arm for the popping noise and told me the steering gear box was now the problem. So fed up with Ctu and the mechanics there I decided to get more opinions on the issue. 2 other shops confirmed the pitman arm had play in it. Ctu doesn t want to be held accountable for anything they install and warranty. Highly recommend you take your vehicles else where to be worked on.November 2022Back in 2020 I had some amp steps installed on my truck and the first time I rolled the windows down the wire on the driver side rear door was cut by the window. Took it back up to them for a quick fix and everything seemed fine. Just a few days ago the same door was having issues with the step coming out and immediately retracting back up. I decided that I was going to fix the problem myself this time. After removing the door panel I found their original fix. Make the wire 4 feet longer so that the window would pull the wire all the way down the the bottom of the door. The absolute laziness of the people that work in the shop is unbelievable. Take your vehicles somewhere else.

I had a Linex put in my new truck. They did a great job. However, it took forever and they don't communicate with each other. I told them when I made the appointment that I would be waiting when I brought it because they told me it would only take a couple hours. They told me to bring it at 8:00 am. I did. The technician that was applying it didn't even get there until almost 10:00...which I didn't know until I asked about my truck at 11:00. I was told it should be ready by noon and they said they were so sorry they did know I was there waiting...even though they pointed out the waiting room and watched me go in there. At 1:00 I asked if it was done yet. They informed me that the technician was putting all the things back on and said they would ask the guy to hurry. At 2:00 I asked again and was about to get very angry when I saw my truck in the parking lot. Lucky for them, they had just pulled my truck up to the front. Keep in mind that I hurried to get there that morning...skipped breakfast because I thought I was going to be late and figured it would be fine if I ate a little late...even though I am a diabetic. Had I known I was going to sit there for 6 hours to do a 2 hour job I would have either taken my time getting there in the morning or made arrangements to go elsewhere while they worked. Communication is key, Knowledge is power and Hindsight is 20/20.

The guys at the front desk are nice, also the mechanic I talked with was also nice and seemed pretty knowledgeable about my truck and working on it. They actually quoted a price lower than any competitor and actually stuck to it for the most part. I would definitely recommend and go back to them for any of my future needs for my truck. Side note..... the equipment they sell to put on your truck is pricey. You do better by purchasing it online and then bring it to them and letting them install it

I brought my brand new white 2021 Silverado LTZ to get a bed liner sprayed in it. They were quick and had it done in just a few hours. That said, there were a couple issues but in the end they fixed the problems and stood by their work. Thank y all for making it right. This is the second truck I had them spray a Line-X liner in and I love looking at all the cool truck things they have on the showroom floor. This is also the best custom shop in or around town.

Dropped my truck off to line x the bed. Dropped it off at 9 (opening time) and was told it would take about 4 hrs and they would call me when ready. I called at 3 (6 hrs later) and was told still not ready. I had a Co worker drop me off up there on his way home at 4:30. The truck was parked out front. Never got a call and they closed at 5. I mentioned it to the guy at the front desk about not calling and he replied with a smart as* remark. They did a good job applying the line x but customer service is a joke. I won't be spending another $450 there. Update --- I got a call from the owner the day after I made this post. He asked for more detail on the situation and apologized for the ball being dropped on the CS side. I think that speaks highly of them and I do believe he will address that issue. Again they did a great job applying the line x to my truck bed. Hopefully CS will now be as equally great. Thanks Kevin for the call back

Took my Ford F-250 to have Line-X sprayed in the bed. After calling multiple other spray in bedliner providers and talking to Mack and Chad at Custom Truck of Columbus, I was sold that Line-X was what I wanted. Their customer service and professionalism is second to none. They went above and beyond my expectations to take care of me and my truck. My bed looked amazing. I will definitely take my truck there for any other accessories or upgrades. They have a customer for life with me. Thanks guys!

Fabulous service. We had our headlight lamps replaced with a brighter beam. Had been told by others it wasn't possible. But Custom Trucks did a great job. My 1999 Silverado now lights up the roadway for these old eyes. Great reliable fast service with a smile.

Went to have some oversized tires balanced. The guys there are super cool and helpful. Tires were defective, which I bought from a third party company weeks ago, and they even talked to the company I bought the tires from. Best place around by far

Unprofessional and inexperienced I do not recommend!! Took a total of three days in the shop to have my 5th wheel hitch installed and it still was not correct. On the first day when I showed up they had ordered the wrong parts so I had to return the next day. The correct parts got in at noon and it still took till 6pm for them to finish the install, so I thought. I get out to my truck and they had forgot to install the 7 blade wiring harness. So I bring it in for the third day in a row and an hour later the wiring harness is in and I'm thinking I'm ready to pull a trailer... NO. I get home plug in my trailer and there is no power to my trailer. So I start inspecting the harness they put in and come to find out the ground wire was not properly secured, the bolt was stripped out and about 1/8 of an inch from being tight. It was an easy fix but for the money I spent in there it should have been right the first time.

CTU's staff is very professional, informative on products they sell & courteous!!! Majority of my communication was through Mr.Brandon. Unfortunately I did have an issue with a part, at NO Fault to CTU, it just happened. However, CTU & Brandon's customer service was top notch and professional! They worked with the manufacture to have the issue resolved and reinstalled. The technician who did the work took time out of his busy day to talk with me and explain in detail the repairs. Their building is always extremely clean. The customer lounge shows their care and concerns for customers comfort. Parking lot is often full ( because they're awesome). The showroom is littered with possibilities to customize your vehicle, with top of the line products. I highly recommend CTU & will be a returning customer!ThanksDavid G.

CTU is great! I took my new Silverado to them to buy some accessories. When I walked in I kinda felt like a kid in a toy store. Their staff was friendly and they had a large selection of wheels/tires and accessories in stock for me to choose from instead of having to choose from a catalogue. I wound up buying a toolbox, lift, wheels/tires and a spray in bed liner. I was very happy with the way my truck looked when they were done with it. All of the work looked like it was done at the factory. Great job!

Had a Leer truck topper installed. The quality of the topper is outstanding as was the installation service. Got it at a fair price too. These guys have their truck stuff together. Definitely recommend you visit CTU when shopping around.

Dropped my husband's truck off for a lift kit install. Service was quick and friendly is the only reason I'm giving them 2 stars. After we picked the truck up and headed home, the brakes come off. Bolts were left loose or out all together. This could've cost us our life.

These guys have everything you need to raise your truck. Great wheel and tire selection too. My son just turned 16 and was looking to lift his truck and the counter guys have been a great help in choosing the right products. And not just "lift it high" stuff, but they kept on eye on his safety too. The owner even came out to assist us. No wonder they're building a new shop 5X the size of the current one. Thanks for your help guys!

Had tow plate/wiring harness installed on 2013 Jeep, also ordered tow bar. Agreed on price. Job done in 1 day. Next day I saw no cover on 4-way plug on jeep. Contact Brandon(guy I dealt with) he found cover, had wife go by to pick-up. It was a Curt cover for Blue Ox system. Tow bar was in box when I picked up Jeep. Few days later getting ready to hook-up Jeep to Motor home to go to Gulf Shores, "NO PIGTAIL WIRE IN BOX". This was Friday, could not tow Jeep. WIFE HAD TO DRIVE JEEP, six weeks after knee replacement. Called CTU part not here, Brandon off, manager not in, in Montgomery. Called Montgomery, talked to nice young lady, she'll have someone call me. Noone called, I called Monday 12:00, left message far Brandon to call. 2 hours later called back. got nothing but excuses. I did not tell him to order pigtail wire. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Manager still has not called. If you want it don right not CTU!!!!!

STAY AWAY FROM THEM, I REPEAT STAY AWAY!! I have lived in Auburn for 4 years and met the owner David Walker when I purchased a UWS toolbox a few months back. I decided to come back when I purchased a used Z71 truck and needed a few things done. While at CTU acouple weeks ago he told me about how they installed leather seats now and how good of a job they do. I needed my driver side replaced so I purchased a $200 leather seat bottom from a company in Texas after taking the owners advice and agreed to have them install it for $85. Well David told me they could put it on no problem and boy was that a lie. I decided to let them install my $200 cover and when I got it back it looked liked it had been installed by a 10 year old. They cut a massive hole exposing all the foam around my seat electric switches when they should of just cut a little slit. I couldn't believe they would/could do that bad of a job. Since they ruined the seat cover to the point where i needed a whole new side insert where the switches go, I asked them about taking it off and letting me take my chances with the company I bought it from on taking it back so then I can get a new one and get it installed correctly (the seat cover isn't the problem it was the huge hole they cut in it exposing all the foam). Well the guy who installed it was looked me in the eyes and admitted to installing the seatcover incorrectly and agreed to taking it off and even putting my old one back on, because he knew he ruined an expensive leather product. As I left the shop after agreeing with the worker to take it off tomorrow, David Walker the owner calls me and leaves a rude voicemail about how "that cover was installed correctly and yes we charged you $85 and no we won't refund it or uninstall your cover and if you want it taken off there will be a charge", he ended the voicemail by telling me quote "that won't be done nor do we have time for anything like that so you can forget about that" The problem here is that it wouldn't cost Mr. David Walker $1 out of his pocket to get that kid to take my seat cover off that they destoryed, and I would still be out $85 that I paid to have it installed and could potientily be out $200 if the company in Texas doesn't take it back. I showed my leather seats to 20-30 friends up here mostly who don't know much about cars and trucks and every last one said that they would want a refund and that it was a messed up job. He has lost a customer for life and I have talked to many truck owners who have live in Auburn some of them born and raised here and they have nothing but horror storries about CTU. I have talked to a couple previous CTU employes who think they may have screwed up my seat cover on purpose becasue I didn't buy it from them and they don't want to be bothered with small customers like me. I'm honestly in shock that someone could operate a business like this and get away with it. Please Please Please don't bring your truck to them, chances are you will have some young kid out of highschool sawing on your truck who has no clue what he's doing. They basically made me flush $285 down the drain and then on top of that were rude about it, I mean there was no need for such a rude voicemail.
