I attended the women s boating class today at Russell Marine. Everything was top notch. Kendra had great communication from beginning to end. I appreciated the timely updates with regards to weather. The class was informative and very helpful. The information provided by the trooper and Lake Martin Resource Association was presented in an interesting way. Both gentlemen answered all our questions. The captains on the boat were very patient and knowledgeable and kept working with us as we learned skills for docking. All in all, a very positive experience that I m very grateful to have had the opportunity to participate in.

We didn't get to eat..got there right after they closed for a evening break..was beautiful day to sit out and watch the boats on the water but we couldnt...if you don't offer a full menu during your break offer appetizers and drinks.and post hours outside.

Took some friends to the Kowliga restaurant. They loved it. I had the shrimp that were perfectly fried. Light and delicious. Had a few appetizers that were very good as well.

The ladies boating program was well thought out and very informative. Appreciate all that put the boating course together. Definitely a must for all boaters.

My 150 Yamaha outboard would not start after a long winter even with new batteries. I called one of the local marine service shops and was told they had a 2 month waiting list before they could even look at it. I had heard good things about Russell Marine, so I decided to give Kowaliga Marine a call. I spoke with Thomas and he was great! He even went over some troubleshooting I could do on my own before bringing it somewhere. After we talked, I asked, if I brought it to them would they check it out and how long before they could look at it? It was a Friday morning so I wasn't expecting much. But Thomas said they might be able to at least look at it the next week but couldn't promise; however, he felt sure that they could look at it within the next 2 weeks (certainly better than 2 months). I took them the boat and Thomas looked at it while we were unhitching from my truck. After a quick look he felt he knew what the problem might be but that they would check it out and let me know. About 40 minutes after leaving the boat with them, Thomas called me and said to "come and get it - it was fixed". I was shocked! Thomas knew what the problem was (faulty starter relay) and they had one in stock so he got it replaced then and there. Got my boat back the same day! A special thanks to Thomas. Great job, great service, and super nice people!

I really enjoyed my experience. Everyone was gracious, knowledgeable, and wanted to help us neophytes learn how to safely dock a boat, the most challenging activity. Cudoos to the marine troopers to help us know the rules of the waterways - especially trooper Walker!

Five Stars really isn t enough. We purchased a new Sea Doo from Justin and had a great experience. He is extremely knowledgeable on all models. They spent extra time showing the boys safety features and answered 100 s of questions. Lisa went above & beyond to get us the lowest interest rate. Great service and inventory. We will definitely continue to do business here.

The staff at this marina are so friendly and kind! We're new to the area, and one of the ladies helped us pick out life jackets and directed us to other essentials we needed. They even showed us some of the good spots on the lake to check out, and told us about some events taking place soon. We'll be back any time we need something for the water, thanks!

She Crab Soup was real good. Catfish was good and the Blondie was off the chain! Don't remember the appetizer that had sausage with pickles cracker and pimento cheese but that sausage was "SWANGIN" as John Anderson would say. Waitress was awesome to...real nice lady.

Kendra, Bartley and the entire Russell team did a great job getting my new boat warranty issues corrected and done fast. They took care of what the selling dealer did not. Thank you for the fast friendly service and on time completion.

I ordered a new Sweetwater 2286. Justin Howard was great to work with. He understood exactly want I wanted and helped me understand all the options available. Boat was delivered ahead of schedule and We love it! I recommend contacting him for your next boat!

We purchased a pontoon boat and Yamaha 150 motor from salesman Justin Howard and we could not be more pleased with the service. Out boat dock was not ready when we purchased the Godfrey tritoon in January so Justin kept it in storage for us at Marina until we were ready. He also delivered it to us with his side kick 4 year old and she knew just as much as her dad about the boat. Life jackets, boat cover that snaps down and other accessories were included with our purchase. We could not have asked for better service from Justin and the company. As for the boat... now you talking a quite smooth ride that is loaded. We came out better in the long run purchasing a new boat and motor considering the warranty that came with it. Would definitely consider them again for such a smooth purchase process.

Purchasing watercraft for the family can be very confusing with so many choices. Working with Justin Howard at Russell Marine makes its fun & enjoyable. They made us a great deal but it s not always about price with me it Customer service. They have proven service after the sell on several occasions. Without a doubt I would recommend Justin & his team

We just bought our first Sea Doo at Russell Marine in Kowaliga. We got a fair price and great financing terms. Russell Howard was upfront with us on our options and the product. After we decided to purchase the unit, he went above and beyond to get the craft ready very quickly. The operation and functionality of the vehicle was explained thoroughly, and he thought of everything we'd need in order for us to be able to hit the water as soon as we left the facility. Lisa Brown got all the paperwork done right away and explained all the terms clearly. She was very helpful with financing and even helped us get a great insurance quote (which we accepted). She made the entire transaction easy and painless. Overall great experience at Russell Marine in Kowaliga! Russell and Lisa worked well together to make this a very pleasant process. I definitely recommend!

My husband and I had a great experience buying our boat from Russell Marine! Our salesman Travis went above and beyond to help us and make our purchase go smoothly. Also, the entire staff was extremely helpful and attentive to make sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend buying a boat from Russell!

My wife and I purchased a pre-owned pontoon from Dione in sales. We had an incredible experience and received a very fair price.THE BEST PART: Our very first day on the water with our new boat, we experienced a mechanical issue that could not be easily remedied. I called up Dione, and he told us to bring it right in and it would be repaired. He got it repaired and returned to us, and had it detailed again in the process. They really stand behind their products! Definitely made a repeat customer when it comes time to upgrade.

Very nice store but they have no customer service what so ever. Stopped in to look at life vests for my son and witnessed five employees sitting down doing nothing. Did not even acknowledge we were in the store and when my wife asked for assistance they told her they were busy. They were busy holding down the counter I guess because they weren t working. But hey they saved me $20 because I refused to give them my money so I ordered the same life vest from overtons when I got home for $20 less than the Store price.

We have used Russell Marina at Kowaliga for 8 years. From boat storage & repairs to recently purchasing a new boat. All employees have been friendly, professional, extremely helpful & concerned for our boating needs. Travis was our boat salesman. Great to work with and made the buying experience pleasant. Justin is another salesman there & together they provide knowledge & expertise. I definitely recommend Russell Marine for all of your water sports! No need to waste time going anywhere else.

I recently purchased two seadoos at Russell Marine. Justin was very knowledgeable and made the whole process so smooth. Their sales and maintenance guys made sure everything was just right before we left. Glad I checked them out!

Very disappointed in Russel Marine Pre-owned sales. I'm an out of state buyer and during my electronic and phone correspondence I asked to hear over the phone or to see a video of the dual engines running in the jet boat I inquired about. The salesman asked if I was good on the price of the boat before providing an engine test in the water. I said no as I wouldn't make an offer until I knew the engines ran well. The salesman refused and said he'd never been asked for a video in 10 years of selling boats and that we should stop there. I offered to give a deposit to move forward but he stopped responding to my texts. I called the dealer 4 times only to get an answering machine. Finally, I received a text from the salesman that the boat had sold.So, to put it bluntly, I was not important and my money was not important. It was much easier to sell the boat to a local person so the salesman went that route. I guess it's just unfortunate all the way around.I did call, and I did text. I did offer a deposit. I missed out but the dealer didn't... they still sold the boat. I got the shaft and it doesn't feel good.

Friendly folks with great inventory and good advice. Everyone is helpful, but Justin Howard has been our go to guy for boat needs for some time. First class operation in all respects.

Just stopped by to look at and purchase a boat. I received the worst customer service I have ever had. When the salesman finally showed up he told us that we didn t want the boat because it was old and didn t even bother trying to show us another boat. He just turned and walked away. I don t see how this place sales anything with customer service like this. Do yourself a huge favor and stay clear of Russel Marine.
